My mum used Steven Smith when she was selling her house and moving to a retirement flat. Mum has severe mobility problems and they went out of their way to help with the viewings (even doing the vacuuming when she was struggling!) Their communication was excellent the whole way through, and I honestly can't rate them highly enough. Thank you to all the team, you made a daunting experience easy and stress free.

Gazumped! Offer had been accepted on a property in Clevedon with an offer acceptance letter and the promise the house would come off the market. Fast forward a week after everything in place with solicitors and I receive a phone call from one of Steven Smiths associates. He explained that a first time buyer had viewed the property a week prior to us and that they made an offer which was accepted in favour of ours because the chain was smaller, essentially blaming the elderly owner of the property! I know this is technically legal but what a dirty, rotten thing for an agent to do especially to a newlywed couple at later stages of IVF. Avoid these agents if possible or proceed with caution. Absolutely disgusting and zero customer loyalty.

If I could rate lower than 1 I would. Poor service, no commutation at all, and when asked they always didn’t seem to know what I was talking about. I never spoke to one person consistently and the commutation was awful. Even with the other agents who were trying extremely hard to facilitate my sale. I would not recommend them to anyone unless you want to be ignored or treated so unprofessional. Stay clear.

My partner and myself are currently viewing houses with the intention to buy. I mainly wanted to inform those using them to sell their house that we’ve not yet received any form of correspondence or follow up emails after viewing nor have we received emails to any houses which are in our budget or location, which we are finding ourselves on Rightmove. I find the agents seem too laid back and have therefore we have been put off using them for this reason, I believe they would not be efficient or fast moving on a house sale and wouldn’t want to risk it personally.

Selling a house these days is complicated, with so many problems outside of your and the estate agents control. If yourare selling in Clevedon - I would certainly recommend them.

They do what they say they'll do, they confirm viewings, they come back to you with feedback and leave a little postcard after the viewings so you have an idea of how it went.

My partner and I bought our first house together at the end of June 2021 and Steven Smith were amazing. Claire especially dealt with us so professionally and kindly, including over several frantic phone calls from myself as our solicitor was useless, and she honestly felt like the only person who was any help at all and was actually invested in us getting our house, and I cannot praise her enough. She knew what needed doing and didn't stop until it was done! As first time buyers we were really unsure what to we had to do and everything was explained step by step as we needed it. Right from when we viewed our house they took us seriously (as a young couple we feel we weren't considered as serious potential buyers at viewings with other estate agents), to arguing and pushing for completion on our behalf when I didn't seem to be getting anywhere, to us getting the keys, Claire was amazing and never left an email or phone call unanswered, which is phenomenal considering the pressure that she and the entire team must've been under as the stamp duty holiday was drawing to an end. Everyone I spoke to was professional, thorough, and kind throughout, thank you all!

It's fantastic to have Karen back on the team! What an asset!! We are currently selling our property and Karen has worked above and beyond to market our property and match potential buyers and try to find us a suitable property. She goes the 'extra mile' and has worked out of hours and, without doubt, is the best estate agent ever ... and we think of her as a good 'friend' as she really does care too. The rest of the team are also great. It's real team work at it's best and they do communicate. Not like the other agents which can be very frustrating.
