The Clifton's team was wonderful in helping us with our move. Gemma and the team were extremely helpful and provided excellent communications during every step of the process. I asked lots of questions and they were always very responsive and helpful. I'd highly recommend them.
Absolutely terrible estate agents, withheld deposit, slow service, threatening emails and really nasty people. Do not be fooled by the professional appearance of the place! It is absolutely dreadful. The landlord left them and so did we. Disgraceful

An horrendous experience selling our house, I would recommend avoiding using Goodman Lilley until they have got their act together.
We have been chasing them now for three months to push our sale through and still no light at the end of the tunnel.

I have never left a bad review in my life but my experience with Mark Templer has left me and my partner very frustrated and in a vulnerable position.
Me & my partner were in the process of purchasing a property through Mark Templer earlier this year and it has been nothing but hassle from start to finish.
1) Phone calls were never returned. We called in 4 times on the same day and it got to a point where I had to visit in person to actually get an answer
2) We were waiting for days to receive an email response on simple queries
3) Sales progression did very little to help us and our situation
4) Being told the wrong information on multiple occasions
5) Dishonesty about property history i.e why it previously fell through with the 1st buyers
6) When complaining to Mark Templer himself, he didn't understand and was unwilling to listen to our grievances about the poor service of his company.
After this uncomfortable process, our purchase fell through due to dishonesty and poor communication.
All in all I recommend to keep your distance from this appalling company as the service was shocking and disappointing.
Starting from the first meeting Hilton Smythe were very clear and precise about the whole process. They were very easy to work with and very professional. All sales enquiries were handled promptly. All of the staff I dealt with were very knowledgeable and competent and explained in detail the steps that were taken at each stage of the proceedings. Any questions I had were answered immediately and in depth. Hilton Smythe ensured that all documentation I needed to handle was provided promptly by them and they clarified any aspects that were in any way complex. The solicitor they provided was excellent and instrumental in ensuring that other solicitors involved in the transaction also acted promptly. I am pleased to recommend Hilton Smythe as a very capable company who worked with me and produced a good result with the minimum of effort on my behalf.
Was just told on the phone, that they were out of my league! Then he hung up, all because I questioned the 5% selling fee. However, after the company reading the review, they called me up and apologised. Well done! Apology accepted!
We have just bought a house through Stephen smith and cannot recommend them highly enough! From the initial viewings right through to completion they have been so on-the-ball, approachable, knowledgeable and helpful, often going above and beyond to chase solicitors and find answers to our queries. There is no question that I would use them when it comes to selling our house.
Having now found a beautiful cottage through other estate agents I can quite honestly say that Mr Smith was rude, obnoxious and unpleasant. Although his staff were always happy to help, He is someone I will be avoiding in the future.
