Very short story, in February this year, together with my partner and her cousin, we wanted to rent a house with this agency. We have viewed the property, payed security deposit and first month pay early of February. We have also all signed an online contract with a moving in date of 12/02/20. Roughly about a week before our moving in date, the agency has contacted us that the current tenant is still occupying the property and needs more time to move out. We have accepted a new moving in date which was meant to be 17/02/20. 2 days before our moving in date, they have informed us that the current tenant is still there and needs a few more days. Again, we have agreed but to move in no later than 19/02 at 12pm as we gave notices to our current landlords and will have nowhere to live. On the 18/02 I have rented a van, packed everyone’s staff, (furniture etc), filled the van up with petrol. On the same day about 5pm the agency has called us and said that current tenant is still there and more of it, they cannot get in touch with her. In the end, we did not move in to the property, as we have managed to contact current tenant and she said she has no idea of when is she going to move out and never gave them actual notice day! More of it apparently they have been trying to kick her out and frightened her that they will put some extra costs to her rent. She has also told us that early December someone else was in the same situation that we are. We decided to go elsewhere as this is too much. They have refunded us the deposit and first month rent and as soon as they did that, they have put it back on the market. I asked my friend to called them up and pretend that she is interested to move in and they said that the property will not be ready for another 4weeks at least.... We ended up having to rent a room at Lok N Store to put all our staff there, and obviously payed for a van, petrol all for nothing. We tried to claim this money back from landlord (about £200), but they have refused to do so. It has caused us a lot of stress and one was homeless for 3 weeks until we found another place with obviously different agency. Seriously the worst experience I have ever had and heard about! Funny enough, the house(Coronation Hill Epping) is still up for rent on the market and it is April Now!... Read more

Martin guided me through the process of selling my elderly father’s house, as sole agents, with an admirable professional, courteous and reassuring manner. He advised me on the best asking price in the current market, reached out to prospective clients and conducted all the viewings, thus making the sale from start to completion an easy exercise for me. I do not hesitate in recommending the company and especially Martin who kept me informed with regular updates at every step along the way and was no doubt as equally helpful to the eventual purchasers. My partner and I were selling our late mothers property in Buckhurst Hill and used the branch in Loughton. We had previously used 2 what we thought were big hitting agents in the area. We were most disappointed with the poor service and lack of feedback. We were recommended Stevenette estate agents. I was a little nervous as had no previous experience of this agent, but from day one Martin and his team were amazing. We had regular feedback and they were always there to answer any questions that we had. There experience and expertise were second to none and within a couple of weeks we had 2 offers.
