Great experience renting through the agency. Thanks to Verity, Anna-Lisa and Melissa. Had quick answers, all the information I needed. Partnership with the “just move in” is a great bonus. They don’t allow to make amends to their suggested tenancy agreement contract.
Edit: the review above was written because I was asked nicely and i believe the agents get bonuses for that.The move in process was actually 5 stars. However, the year later the interaction with the renewals team has been so slow and inefficient, I feel like their main goal is to force me into an uncomfortable contract and charge as much as possible while I left such a great review for them to have their bonuses. Minus 1 star for now. Will set my final mark after I get the new contract or move out.
Update: moving out was okay. My overall experience stays 4/5. Overall i would recommend this agency.

We were asked to transfer an additional 4p to complete the tenancy contract. This was Hamptons’ mistake, not ours. No apology or explanation was given for this cost, which was unexpected and unaccounted for.
We did not find the staff at the office advocated on our behalf (as tenants). A very disappointing experience.

Throughout the process Simon Humn, the branch manager was helpful, highly responsive and professional.
Simon and his team quickly identified a large number of prospective purchasers and achieved the exact price I wanted; a price that was considerably in excess of valuations of all other agents that we had around.
Simon's proactive approach helped overcome a series of difficulties within a complex chain to secure a great outcome for everyone. Without Simon's tenacity, proactivity and expertise, I fear the chain would have collapsed.
All of this was delivered in the challenging market conditions caused by COVID-19. I can't recommend him and his team at Hamptons International Greenwich highly enough; first class service.

Within 3 weeks we had 5 viewings and regular reports from Simon and the team. Although our buyer fell though, they were back on the case and found a good buyer very quickly. I want to preface that while I did not get a flat, my concern is rather how it was handled.
I was supposed to have a viewing two Saturdays ago, that I had arranged a couple of days before. However, after calling in that morning, as I had not recieved any information, I found out that the viewing was never recorded and it would not be happening. The lady on the phone rescheduled for the following Tuesday. The agent I met with was nice, showed me around, and told me that she really needed to rent a place for some reason or other. That made me happy, seeing as I've been searching for a while and also needed a property, my inital thoughts were that we could help eachother out. After paying the deposit, signing the initial documents, and communicating with the agent while at work (and trust me that's not easy, but that's how much I wanted this), the day after I was told that the landlord had changed their mind.
Nothing anyone can do about that, the agent proposed a different property that I went to view the same day, I met a colleague there who shoed me around, who specificaly told me that any viewings they may have at this propert are scheduled for the followign day. He was nice, and again everything seemed like a done deal. My agent said she's spoken to the landlord and explained my situation, I agreed to a longer contract. Some time later they let me know that in fact there had been another viewing that same day, and that the landlord had gone with their offer. This time the agent did not take interest in showing me other properties, became slower at replying to emails, she was going to show me some properties after I specifically sent them to her, but you could tell she wasn't willing.
This was 5 days ago, 4 days ago I asked for my deposit back, yesterday I called in to see what's happening. I still do not have a reply about where it is and why it hasn't been transfered back. While I understand that it takes time for banks to process the money, I, at least, expect an email saying it is on its way and when I should expect it.
Overall (tl-dr), I cannot blame the firm for not finding a flat, but the way it was treated, the missinformation, the misscomunication between the agent and the landlords, the fact that I still don't know where my money is, it all seems unprofessional.
Update: 6 days ago I orignally asked for my deposit back, 3 days ago I called to chase up on it and got no response. Yesterday I called in, quite upset, and finally got an email response saying that my deposit will be processed the same day. Hopefully it'll reach my bank account soon. Shame the way this whole issue was dealth with.

Friendly enough over the phone and when comunicating through emails (to avoid any possibility of litigation if being rude), but will not lift a finger to help the tenant. They charge fees for anything imaginable, including responding to referencing requests from other landlords/estate agents when you move out. I hate them on principle and will avoid Hamptons at all costs after I am finally done with living in the property they manage. Avoid, avoid, avoid, unless you are a landlord, in which case they might be ok.

Hamptons Greenwich were very friendly and efficient when arranging for me to view the property. I had actually dealt with 2 other estate agents in Greenwich during my property search and the contrast was stark. Hamptons Greenwich were very prompt to provide feedback on the offers I made (unlike another estate agent who took ages to get back with a counter offer and refused to arrange a second viewing). Hamptons were also approachable in dealing with my queries (unlike a third agent who was rather snobbish and unhelpful). The personalised wine stopper I received when I collected the keys was a nice touch. I've not given 5 stars as there were a couple of minor queries which never actually got answered but then again, I hadn't chased up. Overall, good experience.

We chose Hamptons to market our property because of all the Agents that we met with, Leon produced what we regarded as the most realistic assessment of the local market and potential sales values, and proposed a marketing strategy which appealed to us. Property details were produced efficiently and the initial launch produced a more than satisfactory response, with an acceptable offer being received within 2 weeks despite market conditions being unpredictable at the time.
Although there were many delays and frustrations (none of which were due to Hamptons) before we were able to exchange contracts, Leon and Dan particularly kept us well informed and were very pro-active in chasing accurate updates from the other parties in the chain. In the latter stages indeed, they worked hard to get the whole transaction over the line despite the fact that they were only involved directly in our sale.
Professional, personable and practical is how I'd summarise their approach. I'd have no hesitation in recommending the Greenwich office, or indeed using their services again.

I cannot rate Hamptons highly enough. We have just sold our house through their Greenwich office and bought through their Blackheath office. In the Greenwich office Leon, Dan and Simon have been absolutely outstanding. Nothing has been too much trouble and they offered very sensible advice on marketing as well as fantastic service.
They are unfailingly pleasant to deal with but have pushed our transaction through when required. "Gone the extra mile" is a terrible cliché but it does not begin to describe the lengths to which Leon and his team have gone to ensure that the transaction has succeeded from chasing lawyers to contacting the land registry directly, they have put in more effort to ensuring a positive result than we could possibly have expected. I genuinely believe that had we not had Hamptons and the team in Greenwich and Blackheath involved, our sale would have failed and it is only through their hard work that we are now looking forward to moving in to our new property.

Having made our decision Simon and Leon worked closely with us on the marketing and sale of the house and we are delighted that we have sold the house to a buyer who is keen to take over the stewardship of our wonderful home. We have wonderful memories of Greenwich, friends and our home, which will forever be with us and we wish our buyer and his family as much happiness as we have had living in King William Walk.

He guides his clients to sensible decisions and works hard to realise positive outcomes, always keeping in mind the need for contingency plans. He is energetic, active, responsive and a great communicator, instilling in his staff the need to be accessible and to give feedback quickly both over the phone and, more formally, in writing. Simon is very easy to work with - helpful and enthusiastic - and exemplary in his responsiveness and attention to all aspects of the process of working through the steps to exchange. The atmosphere in the office itself is professional but also always positive, nicely unstuffy and friendly. We are very happy with Hamptons' service.

I recently sold my flat through Hamptons Greenwich. It had previously been let by Hamptons Greenwich also.
My experience was a good one. I've dealt with many estate agents for sales, purchases and lettings in the past. Hamptons are certainly up there with the better ones. I found the team in Greenwich very responsive; easy to get hold of and quick to reply to emails and calls.
The process of selling my flat was a painless as could be expected. Hamptons arranged a local solicitor, facilitated viewings and managed the relationship with the incumbent tenant. This was very useful as I was selling a flat in Greenwich but I live in Cornwall.
I would certainly recommend the team at Hamptons in Greenwich.

I had had a relationship with Mark Maynard and Humphrey Skitt & Co for about thirty years. Just before I was about was to put the house on the market, Hamptons took over, and consequently my choice was with the 'new kids on the block', or to go to one of the other local agents. I chose Hamptons out of deference to the past and the professionalism with which they approached the marketing.
Within a short period of time, ten days from memory, we received five offers at the asking price. We then went to best offer. With the help of Leon Stone, I made my choice. The process then got underway, and within under three months had reached completion.
In retrospect, Hamptons had priced the house, my home, at exactly the right amount. They managed my anxieties and inane questions with patience and care. In terms of their costs, they were in the middle of various of the agencies. If you get what you pay for, then my experience had a 'value package' in there somewhere. I could not be more pleased.

Leon the manager at Hamptons took over from Annie when she moved and helped to oversee the purchase, and helped to move things along.
