Our experience with Ushers Estate Agents has been excellent. As it is a family owned business it felt very personal as the owner himself came to visit us.
We were given really good advice about realistic valuation and we’re shown similar properties for sale in our area along with their market values. We received recommendations of solicitors, we are being kept informed throughout the process, the costs are very competitive, and we were even offered help and/or advice on our purchasing if needed. In all we are very happy with the service we have received so far from Ushers.

Decided to use Ushers to sell our house in Morden after they did a great job selling my Mum's house last year. The day after the house was put online, Ushers arranged a viewing which resulted in an offer! Michael and Stephanie from Ushers were great at keeping in touch with me and the buyer to make sure the sale was progressing and we completed just over 3 months after it was put up for sale. You hear negative stories about estate agents but Ushers is a real gem and go above and beyond to get things done for you as smoothly as possibly. We went to Ushers as they had been the estate agents when we purchased our property and I remembered them being very helpful and easy to work with. Michael came to visit our property, talking through the process of selling very clearly and answering the questions we had.
We had a large number of viewings quickly and Stephanie was always very helpful with passing on feedback and managing the appointments.

Had a strangely bad experience as a new Landlord. Got told that my expected rental is unreasonable and our area is not great. Also was told that my house has lost value [without any checks] in last 6 years. Went to another Estate agent and the house is now listed for 40% higher rent than Usher's assessment.

With it being a family business you benefit from receiving a far more personal service.
Michael's expertise is a cut above the rest. The assistance he provided in his advice on what was required to be done in order for my property to be ready for the rental market was detailed, specific and demonstrated his great knowledge in such matters.
Ushers fee structure was very clear and had substantial price difference to other agents, who have added fee's which transpire at a later date!

Apparently if you want to arrange a property viewing you have to firsr drive around the area and then confirmed you have done that before you book a viewing lol. Also estate found it strange why somebody who lives in another close by part area of South London would want to look for a house in Sutton/Carshalton. Must be totally different countries.

Michael is a friendly & successful independent estate agent, that I have used a couple of times now. He offers free premium upgrades giving better listings on Rightmove etc. using professional photos showing the property at its best. The completion of the sale was delayed due to needing to obtain probate, but Michael kept the buyer on board for almost a year when exchange and completion went through. All along Michael gave regular updates. All this and his fee remains very competitive.

I was impressed initially with the fact Ushers had hundreds more 5 star reviews than other local agents.
I then spoke to the team and found the transition from my initial enquiry through to instructing Michael to put my 4 bed house on the market for sale very efficient. Their premium marketing made my house stand out online & I was impressed with the quality of viewings.
I had 2 offers and Ushers helped me choose the best buyer. I was very pleased they also achieved the full advertised price in this market.
I was frustrated on my purchase because the local agent handling this was not very efficient & were very reactive. Ushers on the other hand were pro actively updating me regularly and helped me get my sale & purchase through.

My husband and I were very pleased with Ushers from the word go. Michael Usher, a very enthusiastic chap, talked through various options and gave us realistic hope that there would be a successful sale or rental option for the probate property we were trying to sell. The advert really brought out the unique selling points of the flat and within a week or so we had a sensible offer, which was encouraging in this time of economic turmoil.
Thereafter we dealt with Stephanie who was brilliant at remaining on top of the laborious legal process which took almost six months because it was a complicated leasehold property. and the whole process was handled very efficiently and quickly with regular updates from Stephanie particularly.

The lady at the reception picked up the phone said she was with someone so would ring me back after half an hour. Today is Thursday but still no phone call from them at all. Anyone who has ever moved houses understands what it entails, with pitfalls, anxiety and sometimes disappointment during the process. Then we chose Ushers Estate Agents.
They stood out above other estate agents because firstly, their website is excellent, user friendly, informative, and straight forward, professional with up-to-date data. It is a huge undertaking for anyone but as this was our first move after forty-two years in the family home, the task seemed immense. Our first meeting with Michael allayed any apprehensions.
He explained clearly what our obligations were and what we should expect from them, it is all in black and white with no hidden agenda. Michael’s expertise and active approach in his field of work is excellent.
From that initial meeting, he took the photographs himself, showing the house exquisitely and spent time preparing the advertising to show the house to its best potential The house was marketed the next day, viewings were booked, followed by an offer within six days, which was accepted. As you can imagine, it has been a whirlwind experience!
We then had the pleasure of dealing with Stephanie who took us through each stage of the sale with professionalism and courteousness, and often allaying any anxieties we felt.
Her advice and knowledge of the entire process was invaluable. We had a personal, one to one service that was truly outstanding. She is a major credit to the company.
In summary, it has been hectic, exciting, daunting, and moving house is not for the faint-hearted after such a long time. What made it easier for us was choosing the correct estate agent who work for you, the client, and for us it was certainly Ushers. I had been after a property in this particular development for a while and had spoken to Stephanie who kept my details on file. When the property came on the market I arranged a viewing with James, offered and the offer was accepted. This was back in September and as there was, no chain on either side so we assumed this would be a speedy process. Not the case!
Poor Stephanie it feels like I was on the phone everyday moaning/pushing and she would listen, give advice and then chase managing agents and solicitors for me. She has been an absolute star throughout the process.

I honestly could not recommend these guys more… My wife and I were struggling to find a property / landlord that were willing to accept us as we were ‘first-time renters’ without any previous tenancy references. However, Ushers didn’t give up on us and helped us through the process regardless. As first-timers I’m sure you can imagine we had 1000 silly questions yet they were really supportive and made us feel very welcomed. Customer service was 10/10. Ushers was the seller's agent (I was the buyer) and I was pleasantly surprised by how they handled the whole case and how they treated me - it almost felt like I was their client much of the time, given the professionalism and care I received. If you're buying, renting or selling anywhere near Ushers, they are the estate agent to go to. I bought my first property through them, and I went straight back to them to sell it, and their end of the process has been a breeze - as it was when I was buying. Friendly, approachable and easy to get on with. If you're in the area, half of the signs you see up outside houses belong to them - so obviously plenty of others agree. They know the area very well compared to your standard high street estate agents, who you'd be a fool to go to in comparison. When it comes to the next property down the line, we'll be going straight back to Ushers.

I would like to thank all the team at Usher's for the terrific work they did, enabling me to sell my home quickly and achieve the price I wanted. This is a family owned and run business with all the benefits that provides. From my first meeting with Michael (the owner), who was down to earth, open and honest with me about the price my home might achieve on the market (not telling me an unachievable selling price, just to get my business), took professional photos of my property and presented it extremely well online. I recently moved to the Carshalton area 7 years ago and had dealt with several estate agents to sell and buy. I found them all to be much of a muchness, promising the earth, fantastic at selling, slick and smooth in negotiation, but useless, tiresome and frustrating to deal with once a sale had been agreed.
Michael at Ushers, along with his team, are different.
Yes, Michael can sell and he is smooth, but in this game you have to be. The Ushers estate agent's lives and dies by it's reputation because they are an independent estate agent and not a chain like the others. Michael said Ushers would provide a more personal service; they did much more than this for us though, they also provided us a solid mortgage broker too, that got us our mortgage.
When I first approached Ushers, I wanted them to come and evaluate my property. They asked how many other estate agents I'm getting in and I said I'll get 3 in total and choose the one I feel best to go with. Ushers advised, "get the other two in first, then you'll see what we have to offer that they might not". I had never come across any other agency with this approach - and I liked it. It's a ruthless competitive market and I found this approach unique and it stuck in my head. I can be cynical at times, but I took this as a positive and thought to myself, let's see what's different about these guys.
Michael is a straight down the line, transparent business person. An abundance of knowledge about the area, house prices, the market, etc. You can see, despite being the owner, he knows at ground level, what the game is about. Finger on pulse. I am a straight talker too and I do criticise when I need to, but give praise where it's deserved as well.
We had 7 viewings booked for the Saturday. Michael called me on the 11th hour asking, "can we squeeze one more in, he's willing to offer over asking and he's keen to get in on the Saturday, he doesn't want to lose out, but the decision is yours". So we had 8 viewings on the day. The following Monday, we had 3 solid offers, but the 8th person had bid the highest, as Michael said he would and was the warmest family we're happy to sell to. Michael again demonstrating he has a radar for people's commitment, integrity and keeping all parties happy.
Upon accepting the offer, we have been dealing with Michael's colleague, Stephanie. Or should I say, St. Stephanie.
On my previous house move, at this stage, I had horrible experiences once the sale was over. The "aftercare team" I dealt with before were diabolical.
Stephanie however, is patient, proactive, thorough and is great on comms, mobile phone, email, carrier pigeon you name it; you're always kept up to date with progress. Everything is transparent, clear and precise.
We are now past exchange date, we're on the home run stretch towards completion. Ushers are straight to the point, no messing about and want to get the job done. What separates them from other estate agents is the human and personal touches, you just won't get with if you go with a chain estate agent.
Going with Ushers, for me is what I call a, NO-BRAINER.

Ushers did their job selling my property but went one step further and assisted a very difficult and traumatic sale amidst tempers, hostility and even threats of legal feuds. Ushers remained calm, undeterred and were not bullied into taking sides or leaving their professional code. I was personally impressed by Micheals' awareness of the legality of several issues and his ability to navigate very diplomatically through muddy waters and still come out clean. Stephanie and Cassie were truthful and remained focussed on selling rather than getting involved with details that were sabotaging the sale. Whilst we appreciate that Stephanie was acting for the vendors, her intermediation, clarification and determination to find a mutually agreeable outcome resulted a successful purchase.
After terms had been accepted Stephanie was diligent in project managing the initial offer to exchange and subsequently to completion. I went back to Ushers after a lengthy gap of 17 years, after I'd had such a positive experience with them previously. We were in a hurry this time to get on the market and Michael came to see us the day that I called him. We were up and running on Rightmove and Zoopla within 4 days of making the initial call, and that included having a great set of photographs taken as well (special mention to the photographer who is very talented). Stephanie looked after us the whole way through and has been very responsive throughout, always at the end of the phone to advise and push things along. We used Ushers to sell our house last year (2020) and they were absolutely brilliant. So quick to respond to any emails or telephone calls and really helpful, over and above what we expected. From the moment we decided to go with them they got the ball rolling straight away (even during Covid) and had us up for a sale within a couple of weeks. Ushers Estate Agents were the selling agents when we bought our house in Carshalton 16 years ago. Even though they were not our agents for our property we were selling they were a lot more helpful than our actual agents (I will not name even though I would love to name and shame). So, when we decided to sell our property there was only ever going to be one agent we would use and that was Ushers. From the moment Michael arrived to value our property I knew we had made the correct decision. Michael had the original advert when we bought the property. He explained the whole process and what Ushers would do to sell our property. Michael had a lot of research to back up his pricing decision which was higher than I had expected. He then explained the steps we would be going through in the selling procedure. All agreed and the process started. Once the photographer, Daryl, had taken the pictures of the house (which were amazing, we almost did not recognise the place) the house was listed on Rightmove as a Premium Listing. The viewings started the following Saturday, then a few during the week and another lot of viewings on the following Saturday. All throughout Stephanie and Kassy kept me abreast of any developments with any potential offers. But to cut a long story short we had a very acceptable offer which we accepted within 2 weeks. The whole process from listing to completion has taken just over 9 weeks. This is in no small measure due to the professionalism of Ushers. I think even they are surprised how quickly it has happened. I would highly recommend Ushers, Michael, Stephanie and Kassy have been superb and a joy to deal with. Thank you so very much. We can highly recommend this local, independent, professional and helpful estate agent.

Following receipt of probate after my father passed away earlier this year, I needed to sell the house. There are plenty of national estate agencies, but I felt that a small, local one might be best. I chose Michael Usher as he was nearest to the location.
From the outset he was confident, friendly, and open about the possibilities of selling during a pandemic and partial lockdown. While I agreed a tentative price, I left the marketing decisions to him.
In the event, he secured more viewings than I dreamt of under the circumstances, more offers than I expected, and secured a more than satisfactory sale.
During the sale process, Michael and his colleagues were outstanding in their politeness and helpfulness. If any problem arose, they were straight on it, and would ring back with a progress report the same day, smoothing any problems, and allaying any fears I might have had.

Michael arrived at the arranged time and was very friendly, professional and sympathetic. After valuing mum's property he offered much needed advise & information about selling our house - with us being first time sellers this was much appreciated, and he emailed the valuation the same day as he'd promised.
The fact that the valuation fee would deducted from the cost of selling our property, be it this year, in five years time, or whenever is great, and Ushers rates are the lowest we've seen.

In the last eight years I have rented out the property and the support from Ushers has just been outstanding. No question/query was ever to big or to small. I have been dealing with Ushers for approximately six years now, having bought a flat through them, and at the time I was very impressed with the way that they dealt with me , every phone call or visit was treated professionally and promptly . After the purchase was completed, I asked if they would find suitable tenants for the flat and do all the vetting process and contracts for a tenant. They were more than happy to do this for me even though I didn’t want their full management package. Since then I have had dealings with Michael, Stephanie and Kassie on a regular basis, in dealing with the yearly contracts and with them finding another tenant for me over two years ago and who is still in situ. Both tenants that I have had in that time have proved to be superb thanks to Ushers vetting service. Recently and due to the awful situation, the world finds itself in owing to Covid 19 and lockdown, I needed advice from Ushers. Despite their branch closure and working from home, my call was returned promptly, and advice freely given from Stephanie, she then proceeded to draft a couple of letters to me that I could tailor to my own situation regarding my tenants. This is a service I didn’t expect or pay for and is one of the many reasons I will continue to use Ushers for my property.

I phoned a couple of Agents & the professionalism shown from my initial enquiry through to completion by Them was superb.
I dealt with Cromwells on my purchase & they were awful. Never phoned me back, some of the staff hadn't got a clue, I had to phone 3 times to try & view a property, no one followed up my viewing for feedback & once my purchase was finally agreed, I never received an update from them throughout the whole transaction. I had to do all the chasing. I'd never use them as I can see they do very little work for their owners. Ushers on the other hand were polite, efficient, pro active, nothing was too much trouble & they were a pleasure to deal with!
From my experience of Ushers & Cromwells there is no comparison! Thank you to Michael & the team. I've learnt that a bigger multi branch company is not best, so if you want the best for a competitive fee then choose Ushers. They really were a pleasure to deal with & I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Ushers started off managing one property (letting ) for me in 2013. Was very impressed with them, excellent service all round, they are very transparent re fees....which some agents are not. I handed another property to them to manage about a year ago.
I have also used the larger 'chain' type agents and had very mixed results. One issue is often having to re explain things depending on who answers the phone - Ushers have a smaller team, which results in very effective communication. No fighting your way through a phone system.
Michael the owner recently helped advise me on an issue regarding a property that is managed by a different agent. This was very much appreciated, beyond the call of duty - so to speak.

I have used Ushers firstly to let a property and then more recently to sell it. Both services have been excellent - they found a tenant very quickly and the managed letting service gave me peace of mind that everything was looked after. Any maintenance issues were highlighted quickly and dealt with. With the sale, they found a buyer within 10 days but also ensured that they were somebody who was actually in a position to follow through with the purchase as so many buyers these days aren’t actually able to get funds etc. The two ladies, Stephanie and Kassie kept me informed throughout the entire process and were truly excellent - it felt like they were really working to get the sale through which was great. They didnt pressure me into signing with them although I'm really happy I did.

Everyone at Ushers provided us with such a great service from the initial phone consultation with Stephanie to Michael coming to value the property, Stephanie dealing with arranging all the viewings and liasing with our buyers and Kassie. One thing that stood out was Ushers professionalism in securing viewings that weren’t time wasters and on securing an offer on our place going beyond to ensure our buyers had sufficient proof of deposit and mortgage offer! This is particularly important considering the number of friends who have sold and a few months down the line experienced problems with funds and securing mortgages delaying the sell of their property. I wasn’t sure on conducting the viewing but had nothing to worry about as the feedback suggested the buyers were so impressed in meeting us and having questions answered I think it secured a faster sale and offer. Don’t hesitate use Ushers or at least compare to what else is on offer - their very competitive. Thanks for a quick, efficient and almost stress free sale.

You might think that with the cheapest rates in the area that ushers will provide you with a 2nd class service, but believe me they don’t. In fact not only does their service match the more expensive opposition I believe they exceed it. The photographer they use made our house look so good we had second thoughts about selling it. The back up team will see you through the sale always being available with a great proactive no nonsense approach.

From my first enquiry they gave a clear understanding of the process ahead including; their costs (others do not do this); realistic expectation of value; time scale; and they hit the mark on each of these points. Even though the whole of Micheal's team are excellent as special mention should go to Stephanie who provided an invaluable hands on role to make sure the process kept moving forwards. Overall a small family business that concentrates on giving good service above all else resisting the urge to expand the business to protect that ethos, and Michael provided a fantastic deal as well. I've let my house through another local agent over the past few years but had a bad experience. I was over charged on my management fee, they were not carrying out their inspections of the property & I was regularly receiving my rent over 10 days after the tenant had paid the agent. Very disappointing service.
I googled Lettings Agents in Carshalton and read the many positive reviews that Ushers had. I called them & was very impressed by their professionalism & service. They were happy to quote their total fee which was cheaper than 2 other agents I spoke to and the also included more with their management service. The other 2 agents also tried to quote a lower fee. When I asked what it included, their fee very quickly shot up with all the add ons!
I've now let my property for 14 months & it's gone really smoothly. Rent paid on time, inspections carried out, leaking toilet fixed & no hidden add on fees.
Well done Ushers! I will continue using you and will give my other property to you as soon as that tenant moves out. So pleased I chose Michael & his team. If you are looking for a reliable, professional & efficient Lettings Agent, then don't go anywhere else!

From our first conversations with Ushers it was clear they had a far more detailed understanding of the local market than anyone else we spoke to. They have been available for guidance and advice every step of the way.
I think we were only listed for 10 days before accepting an offer we had hoped for. They only sent viewers who were in a position to buy too, which was much less disruptive than hosting dozens of wasted viewings.
Photo's are excellent, and right to the point of completion they have helped us navigate the complexities of solicitor and Housing Association communications.

From start to finish, Michael & his team were friendly & efficient. I was very impressed with their fee that was lower than the other High Street Agents I spoke to, but I was most impressed with their premium marketing that made my property stand out. Cromwell did not offer this & Paul Graham wanted to charge me a lot more.
A friend has been on with a Purple Bricks, it's been for sale for 3 months & she didn't realise she's liable to pay their fee even if she doesn't sell the house! Ushers offer no sale no fee. She wishes she hadn't signed up with the online agent now.
If you're looking for the right agent then steer clear of larger multi branch agents as they don't give you the time of day. I found Ushers to be a trustworthy, efficient & successful estate agent, who helped me achieve a great price for my house!

My experience with Ushers has been excellent. I chose to sell my property with them due to the many other positive reviews online, and the extremely competitive fee charged. Included in the fee where professional photographs which really made my property stand out as well as 3D floorplans, which brought the interior to life. As soon as my property was published I had a lot of interest and good quality viewings which led to offers straightaway, which were professionally handled by Michael/Alex and the team, which resulted in a deal slightly above the asking price. We received a personalised service from the team having bought the house from them, they understood our needs when it came to the time for sale.
They assigned one of their finest agents who worked closely with us through the sale process. Similar to our experience during the purchase of the house, a profile was created for us on their property portal which detailed each step of the house sale process making it easier to understand where we were at each stage of the sale and how much further we needed to cover before the house was sold.
To summarise, the team visited the house once to view and understand sale requirements, sent in a professional photographer to capture special features of the house, hosted 1 open day event with back-to-back viewings (despite the downpour), and got us 5 interested buyers who were all willing to pay above the advertised price of the house!
Ushers came reasonably priced offering premium services, for us, they stood out from the crowd and especially way above know names.

I've been using Ushers to manage my luxury flats for 9 years. Really impressed with their pro active service, regular communications & managing problems when them come up.
I love the fact they're very efficient & I never pay them any additional add on fees, I just pay their very competitive low management fee that includes managing problems for me. Last month my boiler packed up & I do don't have to pay an additional fee to get them to sort it. Other lettings agents I've used have all charged me a lot more than just their management fee. I've used Ushers a few times over the years & think they're absolutely brilliant. This time I used them for let out my house in Carshalton Village.
With all the negative press about troublesome tenants out there I wanted an agent that was experienced so phoned 3 lettings agents. The other 2 were multi branch companies & then also Ushers. Wow the other 2 seemed pretty clueless when I asked a number of questions. One of them told me they do their own in house references?! The others fees were 40% higher.
Speaking to Ushers, I quickly became confident of their abilities. Michael was knowledgable, didn't waffle on & answered every question I asked. Their fees were also the best which I was very happy with!
They presented my property well, had 2 tenants wanting the property, so I could choose the better of the 2, then their thorough referencing passed the chosen tenants.
My tenants have been in the property almost 6 months & I've had no problems. Well done to Michael & the team. This company does not cut corners! They're brilliant.

I liked the more personal & professional service that Michael & his team offered from the beginning I am pleased to confirm this continued throughout the whole sales process of my Bungalow sale.
They presented my property with their free professional photography service better than I could have ever imagined, booked in the Open day, handled the 3 offers efficiently, definitely worked hard to get me the best obtainable price, then saw it through to completion, updating me pro actively on a regular basis.
I was buying off a multi branch agent and they could not have been more different, for the worse I must add. No one knew what was going on when I called them, there was no communication between the staff, so I'd leave a message for the last person I spoke to, to call me back and then a colleague would call back saying they're not available but if I run through again how they can help, they will do their best to help. I also had to regularly do all the chasing. This was so annoying.
When making initial enquiries, I was shocked to find most agents did not even offer the Premium marketing package Ushers did. They tried to say they did, but when I pushed them on it, I was told it was not available...... It clearly costs Ushers a lot more money, but they still offered me a low fee including this. Fantastic!
Choose Ushers over other Carshalton Agents! They promised me the best premium service for a cracking fee & I got just! No tricks or tactics like an other agents tried, just honest & efficient hard work.

No high pressure sales pitch! Michael was professional, to the point & the premium package he offered me for a cracking fee, could not be matched by a couple of other agents I spoke to.
I honestly cannot fault their service. From start to finish, they were very pro active and also very friendly. Nothing was too much hassle for them!
I've never received that service when I had dealt previously with larger corporate agents including Andrews & Cromwells. I ended up doing all the chasing for viewing feedback/ offers then trying to get the sale through. What a joke!

I contacted Ushers Estate Agents to let my Father's property. They talked me through the lettings process, what I needed to do as a Landlord and how they would manage the let on my behalf. They advertised the property and within a week we had a prospective tenant going through a thorough vetting and checking process. They kept me informed of progress throughout and managed all of the paperwork and handover with the tenant. We bought the house through Paul Graham but we're not happy with the service we received as a buyer. They were never interested in helping us, took many calls to get a viewing then 5 phone calls when making an offer as no one ever got back to us! I then had to do the chasing to get the purchase through.
Ushers on the other hand were polite, very on the ball & attentive from start to finish. I appreciated the fact that no matter who I spoke to, everyone there was able to help.

Thank you to Michael, Alex, Stephanie & the team for such an efficient job in selling my house for me!
Selling through Ushers & buying through another local agent was like chalk & cheese…. Your company were on the ball with placing my property on the market, very competitive giving me the best deal locally on the fee, upgrading my marketing to “premium” marketing which other local agents wanted to charge me extra for, pro actively booking in the viewings, to negotiating effectively on the 5 offers you obtained for me, then progressing the sale right up to completion. I also absolutely loved your portal Checkmymove, which pro actively kept me updated on my sale from start to finish with regular emails asking me to log in for the update. This was so handy as I am often in meetings so could access the update in the evenings if I couldn’t do it at work.
The other agent, which was a multi branch agent, were the opposite. They were laid back, no one seemed to know what was going on, I had to do all the chasing as they never progressed the sale themselves despite advertising they have a “sales progressor” and did not seem like they were fussed about getting the exchange of contracts/ earning a commission. I would have been very unhappy if I was their owner!
I really appreciated being able to deal with the owners of Ushers as well as experienced staff. With the multi branch Agents locally, you never get to meet the owner and the service is often very impersonal. I have also come across a number of inexperienced staff at these other agents when I was looking for somewhere locally which is frustrating. Ushers tick all the boxes & there is no need to look elsewhere if you want the best. Choose Ushers!

I will never use a chain Estate Agent again as dealing with this family business was stress free & a pleasant experience!
Well done to Stephanie & Michael in particular for helping me achieve a higher price than another Agent valued my house for & for getting the Sale through in under 8 weeks which was paramount for me as I was emigrating.
In a nutshell Ushers were more welcoming than the other Agents in the High St, their fee was extremely competitive, I appreciated their free premium marketing, they fought my corner when some issues came up on survey & as mentioned they helped me get my quick completion!
Don't waste your time with the multi branch agents, this family business tick all the boxes!

I have to agree they are "Simply Better!" than other agents I've used in the past!
I have dealt with other Agents in Carshalton over the years but was so pleased I was recommended to Ushers :)
To summarise my fantastic experience, Michael was the most professional Agent I talked to when phoning 4 but then narrowing down to 2 to visit. 2 refused to even quote a fee for selling & were quite rude in particular Cromwells, but Michael talked me through his "Premium" service & also the fee. The 2nd agent just offered a very basic marketing package telling me it was the best but there was no comparison vs Ushers! The rest is history as they sold my house from the Open Day, with 5 offers, achieving more than I was expecting then excellent comms right through to completion.
Don't waste your time with the bigger multi branch agents who treat you like a number, Ushers being a family business shine in Carshalton & work efficiently until the end. Well done Michael & team!

5 star service from a fantastic Family business!
I decided to talk to 3 agents in Carshalton. I spoke to Silverman Black, Paul Graham & Ushers.
The 1st agent- SB seemed very limited in staffing & resources from my visit. There was only 1 staff member in the office, the phone never rang whilst I was there for 20ish mins, I was also warned they tend to over value to get business & then knock you down.
The 2nd agent- PG were very expensive, I didn't get a positive vibe when I said I lived on St Helier in a 3 bed house & it was evident they seem to prefer selling much bigger properties. Their fee was also very high at 1.5%+vat
The 3rd agent- Ushers were a breath of fresh air. I loved their premium marketing, they happily did me a deal on the fee under 1%+vat & their pro active communication from marketing, to viewings, to offers & to sales progression was faultless.
Well done to Alex, Michael & the team at Ushers! I will definitely use them again :)

They are a fantastic, independent, family-run company with a high level of service that I know, from past experience, other estate agents do not offer.

My house sale was smooth from start to finish!
Michael offered me a cracking fee, Ushers offered the best marketing package, they had 6 offers from the open day & I sold for over £10,000 above the asking price.
Dealing with an Independent "family" business was also important to my wife & I as we had a bad experience with 2 large multi branch companies- Cromwells & Andrews neither of which we would ever use again.
The team at Ushers were pro active every step of the way & we would thoroughly recommend them :)

I was very unimpressed with their customer service. I was interested in a property they had on their books but unfortunately I was attending a wedding on the open day they had planned. I rang to ask them if there was anyway I could see the property before the close of the bidding process. They were not interested at all. They refused point blank to notify the seller of my situation. I am a serious cash buyer that has just been let down on another purchase.
I find their approach to potential customers unbelievable and I am really glad I did not have them sell my house. Because it's a sellers market at the moment some estate agents treat potential buyers with disdain and disregard Ushers appears to be one of them.
Seller beware... Would you like to get as many people to see your house, so as to ensure that you get the best price? I know I would.
