Clearly many process and procedural changes since previous move to Whiteley some 24 years back. Walker and Waterer in Whiteley, (Tom and Kelly) were excellent in guiding us through the many unavoidable issues encountered, with the chain completion being archived on the agreed date. Their knowledge of the local market is impressive and I would urge any Whiteley resident thinking of moving to deal exclusively with Water and Waterer safe in the knowledge that their requirements will be carefully and professionally dealt with.

Would give zero stars if I could! Absolutely appalling experience we had with Walker and Waterer. Myself and my partner viewed a property and were very interested. We phoned up and immediately asked to put down the holding deposit to secure the place. The estate agent who showed us around told us this would possible however when calling up we were told we had to make an offer, despite being the first people to offer the landlord declined (OK fair enough) however when I went in the office to ask for why the woman was rude, myself and my partner are not in a great living situation right now and we're prepared to part ways with thousands of pounds to find a property and get ourselves out of a bad situation however the woman just told me to rehome my THERAPY PET and that there was nothing they could do to help us, leaving us upset and shocked that people who are supposed to help you would much rather leave us in a bad situation, they offered absolutely no advice on what we could do to besides wait on a waiting list for something (which isn't going to help when we need to move immediately) and we have now been caused a huge amount of distress from their rude staff who clearly can't communicate properly as we were told different things by different staff members.

Had a vile experience here. We had viewed a property and immediately made contact seeking to hand over the money needed to secure the property as we were in urgent need of a home having taken up new roles in Whiteley. We were prepared to hand over all necessary deposits and the first month's rent. We were told we couldn't do this until the morning after. We then called first thing the next day and were told again nothing could be done as of yet only to then be contacted after mid day and told the property had been granted to someone else by the landlord. Both my partner and I, who had made the first contact seeking to secure the flat, as well as a couple with a child whom I'd have happily lost the flat to were refused by the landlord for a couple who had made contact AFTER we had. I am beyond caring if this is the fault of the landlord as favoritism is totally unacceptable, especially in the current economic climate. If Walker and Waterer are prepared to support this kind of landlord and business then I cannot even wish them all the best. We've been forced into a difficult situation now with our work and lives as a result of nonsensical favoritism when we were the first happy and ready to pay all that was needed to secure a new home.

If you are buying or selling in Whiteley there really is no other place to go.
A very quick sale aided by fabulous photos taken by Tom who clearly knows his business. We mainly dealt with Kelly who is just lovely. So friendly and always happy and positive. Nothing was ever too much trouble and any enquiries were always dealt with quickly and without issues.
The only one criticism is we did have to chase for feedback from viewings but again this was given in a professional manner.

The selling process was really good. Excellent photos and house profile approved by us. They stuck to Covid runs and always fitted viewings in around us. They made it easy for us.
The team then made every effort to get us through a rather complex 2 houses into one move over a two week period.
Throughout the time we were dealing with them, they were always available on the phone and always promptly responded to e-mails. It didn't seem to matter which one of the team answered the phone as they always knew you, your situation and the state of your move.
On moving day they did all the leg work and chasing for us so we didn't have to worry.

Visiting the property:
The estate agent (Kelly), was very natural, and wasn't in your face or trying to oversell the property, or butter me up, like others i've met in the past. She was knowledgable of the property when asked questions, and gave us the mental space to make an impression on the property ourselves, with some guidance.
Offer to completion process:
Caroline has also been great, being a first time buyer the whole thing has been quite overwhelming as i've been unsure on how the process actually works and what each step meant. Being a technically minded person, i would often want the whole picture so i can understand things on a deeper level and she always provided that (she was more helpful on the process than my solicitor). We worked well together back and forth on phone and email which is my preferred way as you just get stuff done and know where we all stand in the process.

We've recently used Walker & Waterer (W&W) for the sale of our property and they were also the agents for the property we bought.
These transactions were in a chain of 6, which meant that the process became very elongated and getting communication up and down the chain was problematic through solicitors.
This is where W&W, in particular Kelly, came into their own!
Kelly, who would have been truly sick of my emails by the end of the process, was incredibly helpful in manage messages, dates, explanations up and down the chain for us, and it wasn't for this, there was a genuine possibility that the whole chain might has collapsed.
W&W truly earned their fees in this transaction, and Kelly more than deserved some fizz, flowers and chocolates by the end :-)
Overall: Local, friendly estates agents who communicate very well and we wouldn't hesitate to use again.
