I highly recommend Watson Bull and Porter, Newport, Isle of Wight , specially LAUREN and DANIEL for being so responsive with all my queries. They were very quick to find a property that suits me even if I was a newcomer and this is the first time that I will be renting a property given the competition in the letting market in the island without any hassles. They do it without prejudice and they are very approachable. They never turned me down and was the first one who approached me for a possible available property since I walked in their office.

Daniel and Lauren have both been fantastic, they both helped me into my first new flat and I couldn’t be happier, they have helped me above and beyond to get me into this flat and made it so easy when I’ve never done this before, I really recommend if you are looking for a flat to rent these guys will do all they can to help you and lead you in the right path.

I was a buyer and the way this Estate Agent has treated me and the way they spoke to me including their advice is appalling. I would not use or even consider using this Estate Agent for selling, buying or anything ever again..
I was told much false information (dates they kept informing me was changing constantly).
My Dad & Uncle were in hospital at the same time and I was next of kin. Despite this, I continued to action any requests from my solicitors and liaised with the Estate Agent. Their response was "I know you have a lot going on, but you are delaying the whole chain and its about to collapse. You just need to exchange now" - To note: at this stage, my solicitor was still waiting for answers from the sellers solicitors and had advised me we weren't legally ready to exchange.
I was being pestered by the Estate Agent constantly with phone calls and emails. Which is very funny, because once I put an offer in at the very beginning, they failed to return my calls or answer my emails.
My mental health deteriorated because of the way they managed my purchase. It was that bad, I got close to pulling out from buying the property.
The Estate Agent also played on the fact I was a first time buyer. They attempted to refer to me to mortgage brokers and solicitors who ripped you off. The solicitor they referred me to, meant I had to liaise with 2 different companies (Country Wise & PCS Legal) and neither spoke with the other. I was told by all 3 companies (Country Wise, PCS LegaI & Watson Bull & Porter) that as a first time buyer I had to ay stamp duty (this is incorrect and was only rectified when I sent them links to the government website showing I didn't have to pay stamp duty). I was also given various different quotes for the invoice, none of which matched and I was asked for my deposit money within the first week of being with them, before they had even requested the searches. I didn't give it to them. Eventually, after a couple of complaints, I switched solicitors with no penalties for myself. After I resolved this issue, the Estate Agent didn't explain the situation to the Seller at all, so I had to drop the seller a quick email and apologised for doing so.
I experienced extremely poor customer service. They are only concerned about meeting their targets. I would never use this Estate Agent Agent and would recommend others to consider using them.

I have used Country Wide Lettings in Newport for 5 years for properties I own and they have always found me the perfect tennant. They go above and beyond to help with all the paperwork needed and are in regular contact with you at all times. Lauren is always so pleasant and answers emails straight away. Daniel has been especially helpful with any professional advise.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking of renting out their property. It’s been a pleasure using them. Defo 5??
