Absolutely cannot fault White & Sons Reigate branch. After a really disappointing experience recently selling a property with a "disrupter" agency gaining profile in the area, it has been such a joy to work with a traditional agent who really knows and understands the local market and has an experienced team on hand to manage every aspect of the sale. Ed Macfarlane's carefully considered, honest appraisal of the property meant that we launched to market at the perfect price, gained plenty of interest and had several offers to choose from. None of the "price to entice" or "test the market" gimmicks, just a straightforward asking price which he managed to negotiate for us with a well-proven strategy that buyers and sellers universally understand. Although Ed has been a pleasure to deal with throughout, keeping in touch with us and our buyer just the right amount, credit is very much due to his friendly, responsive, highly-organised and tireless team who each took the time to view the property themselves before launch, then brilliantly managed the deluge of enquiries and viewings that their listing generated. We were delighted that our property launched to market, with excellent photography and accurate floorplan, just a few days after instruction and was under offer within a month. Smooth, efficient and highly recommended - these guys are good at what they do.

My worst experience with White & Son Agency Dorking! They're the worst agency to work with, and some of the employees—like 'Elly' from the Block Management—are extremely rude to the clients! She doesn't respect customers and is the rudest person I've ever encountered. The next time the owner hires out, I believe they need to pick the right individuals! If not, organizations like these will eventually die! In the future, dealing with AI systems will be far more pleasant than dealing with individuals of this nature.

Understated professionalism is the best way to describe James who has been amazing throughout the process. Right from the time my offer was accepted, James has been a massive support. James has been instrumental in helping me finding the right & efficient solicitors too.

The Reigate team are lovely and super helpful. My previous experience of using estate agents had been a bit of a horrow-show, so this time rather than using huge companies whose sole business model is achieving commission but never looking out for their customers when it really mattered , I decided to appoint a more local company based in Reigate who understood their local demographic and the needs and stresses of local customers and who had carved very close partnerships with local Solicitors, Surveyors and whose priority was to put their customers first and sales commission afterwards. So I chose White & Sons of Reigate. From the outset, Whites' senior consultant, Jackie Nathan who came to value our house demonstrated nothing but experience, professionalism , friendliness, confidence but it was her openness and honesty that shone through as someone we could trust to deliver. And boy did she deliver. Without us ever having to prompt, she regularly phoned us with updates and chased any issues away with ease. I even received an update by email from her one night at 9o'clock in the evening ! How good is that ! Which demonstrated beyond anything else to me, just how much she cared about reducing our stress and to reassure us that she was working tirelessly to resolve a problem, which off course, she did. Her talent, ability , professionalism and customer commitment was further recognised halfway through our sale by the news that she had been promoted to Assistant Branch Manager - No surprise there at all to us and extremely well deserved - Also during our sale , they had a new branch manager join their team, which you might have thought would be disruptive and cold have undermined their service. Not in the slightest. The new branch mgr, Richard Chaffe hit the ground running and who personally covered for Jackie whilst she was on holiday by providing solid support to us with updates chasing solicitors, surveyors, etc. We can't thank him enough. A business is only as good as its staff and Whites are served by people like Jackie and Richard who make a REAL DIFFERENCE, so our thanks reach out to you both and your team including Edward for giving such fantastic service , support and friendship during a very stressful time which included the stamp duty holiday and all of the pressure that came with it. Put simply, we would urge EVERYONE to use White and Sons Reigate, its as simple as that.

We have finally managed to buy a nice cottage in Reigate after 9 months of disappointments. This was largely down to the excellent service we received from the White's Reigate Office - and Richard Chaffe in particular.
We had earlier tried to buy 5 properties before we were contacted by Whites regarding the sale of the cottage. They were immediately sympathetic to our situation and provided us with moral support as well as excellent professional services.
The key difference from other Agents was that Whites worked with both vendor AND the buyer to get the deal over the line against a tight deadline. No request was too much trouble.

I recently viewed a house in Reigate through White & Co, Reigate. I really loved the house and requested the advise from the agent as to the best way for me to proceed. I was told to offer full asking price of 850k which I did and I was told that there were no other offers on the table.
Within half an hour of leaving the viewing, I was told someone had matched my offer. Therefore, I asked if I should increase my offer and was told no and to wait until the following morning when the vendor would make his decision. I knew that I was in a strong, favourable position to proceed with the purchase of this property immediately, so I had hoped that this would go in my favour.
I rang Richard at White & Co first thing the following morning and once again I was advised not to increase my offer. At midday, I received a call from Richard to be advised that the vendor had accepted the other purchasers offer of 850k because the vendor and the purchaser knew one another. Richard then told me that even if I increased my offer by 20-30k the vendor would not proceed with me, despite my increased difference in the accepted offer price.
The web of deceit unfolded before my eyes when I received an email from a local conveyancing solicitor, requesting to assist with the purchase of the house. The form the solicitor provided confirmed an accepted offer price of 880k and had all my personal details on it, which were provided by Richard at White & Co. They had accidentally provided the solicitor with my details instead of the other buyer.
Not only was this a major GDPR breach but they lied to me about the other sellers offer, didn't give me the chance to represent an increased offer and they were not acting in the best interest on behalf of their seller. I was unable to purchase this property because of their dishonesty and deceit and they embarrassed the local solicitor who were now involved in their underhanded practise.
My only advise, if you are a buyer or seller, avoid White & Co.

What I liked the most is that i was able to contact Edward ( who was dealing with the sell) any time. Fantastic agent, thank you in particular to Jackie.
They couldn't do enough to help us with the sale of our property, they also dealt promptly with any issues we had further up the buying chain. A polite, hard working group of staff that were always available to offer advice and help us throughout the process.
We had been on the market last year in an attempt to sell and found that the other agents in our area were keen to keep the sale price low for a quick turn around - It seemed like they were operating on a 'get them in, get them out' routine. With White and Sons it felt like they cared much more about helping us achieve the best price we could, as well as making sure we had a solid buyer that would not be a liability once the conveyancing process started.
I would happily recommend them... and that's not something I could say about other agents I've had dealings with in the past.

Using an agent who have been established locally for over 200 years is the sensible way to go. They GENUINELY know the area and the market which gives them an edge. They are methodical, thoughtful, give sound advice and, most importantly, don't rush you into any rash decisions. I have booked a viewing for a property with the Reigate branch. Unfortunately nobody came to the appointment and me and my wife were left there waiting. When we called the office they told us that the property was already under offer. They just didn’t bother to let me know and cancel the appointment. Very unprofessional and irresponsible behavior.
