I have been realy pleased with the level of excellency in providing rental services. The person in charge of the current tenancy; Morgan Rooke, has been attentive to my instruction, needs and tenancy requirements. I have been using William H brown for a good few years and have two tenancies via them. I would say, hopefully it continues to provide the level of excellence they have done so this time.

would like to start by saying if I could leave 0 start I would.
from start to finish a complete shambles. the service was very sub satisfactory to say the least. was offered a tenant that could not generate a rental guarantee so was offered a payment plan that verbally was not clearly explained enough as I found out 4 months in to my contract with WHB. spent the best part of most of my honeymoon chasing for answers and got nowhere. had to fly back to England ( I live in Spain ) to get answers. this is the tip of the iceberg.
7/10 times I email I get a bounce back saying they they are on annual leave. when it came to my Tennant paying again it was left for weeks and finally the lettings department email me asking what is going on with my tenant. I pay for fully managed and I am supposed to telll these guys.
constantly chasing and eventually leaving my Tennant in my apartment with no guarantee of safe guarding for my self. left completely vulnerable and then he leaves my apartment in a mess.
the list of negative feedback could go on for a long time but I don't want to bore anybody. nutshell terrible company and terrible staff totally dissatisfied and have changed since and very happy. will never use nor recommend to anybody

After meeting Lisa from William H Brown Brentwood we were so excited to get our flat sold. However, a few weeks after we signed our contract Lisa moved branches and we were passed over to Ashleigh and Tara and we feel that communication on all levels completely disappeared which was really upsetting. It took days for whatsapp messages to be answered, phone calls not returned, emails ignored and the 3 viewings we did have were with buyers who didn’t have the financial budget to pay what the agents had recommended we sell for. Even after cancelling our contract, I have asked 3 times for someone to get back to me regarding the purchase of our marketing photos and after almost a month of waiting I have now given up and paid for new ones to be taken.
I understand this is a busy company and have no doubt that many people have positive experiences. However, in our experience we felt completely forgotten about and have wasted almost 4 months and delayed our selling process.

Ashleigh Saunders at W H Brown Brentwood was nothing short of outstanding throughout my purchase. The purchase took around 4 months to complete, and Ashleigh was by far the best part of the experience. Whenever a problem arose, she was always on hand to make sure it got sorted quickly and efficiently. I cannot recommend William H Brown highly enough. Lisa and Ashleigh in particular have been outstanding. Nothing has been too much trouble, they went above and beyond for us. Our property sold very quickly with them after being with other local agents for some time.
They kept us up to date with feedback from buyers immediately. The personable experience we have had from day one has been a breath of fresh air and I would only ever use them now.

If I could give zero stars for the brentwood/gidea park branch I would. They Lie to get you to sign the contract, then zero communication or attempt to sell your property and lack experience. Continously ignore basic email questions. I expected at least one communication from the assistant branch manager who original gave the sales pitch. Instead Lisa just ignores emails or gets administrator with no experience to contact you.

We would never try to buy a house through William H Brown again and would advise anyone looking to sell a house to also not use them. We felt constantly lied to which resulted to us pulling out for the sale about 5 months down the line. Whenever we tried to call the branch the person we was trying to contact was always conveniently on another call, when told they will get straight back to us we was left waiting hours and would often have to call again just to try and chase things up. William h brown seemed in no rush to help with the sale of this house and I feel extremely sorry for the elderly lady we was meant to be buying the house from. We did also end up complaining to higher up however this didn't even help the situation. So after money and time lost we pulled out of buying the house, we are now buying another house through PURPLE BRICKS and cant fault the service at all. From offer to completions it has only taken 2 months. AVOID THIS ESTATE AGENTS!

After selling my property through William H Brown in Grays I have now just purchased a property through them in Brentwood.
My decision to market my property through them was due to the excellent service I received from the Brentwood Office whilst I was looking in that area for a new home.
The service I received from them was excellent and I cannot recommend highly enough, Tara, who I dealt with mainly. She provided me with a professional and friendly service and has helped me throughout the entire process from the initial viewing of potential properties to the end conclusion of purchasing a new home.
I have no hesitation in recommending their services based on my experience of buying and selling a property through them and would particularly like to thank again Tara and James for all their help. I would without question use their services again.

A great sales pitch to get your business then a complete shambles.
Poor attention to detail and lack of communication from the team.
Adverts wrong, lack of feedback - always having to chase, over valuing, windows not updated, prices not changed ....

Viewed a property to buy in Brentwood via this estate agent on 3rd September 2017. Ellie was the person who showed us around.
The property was tidy but dirty. Whilst in the property I had an insect crawl over my foot which I felt as I wearing Open sandals. Ellie was aware of this as I was standing right next to her. I genuinely didn't think anything of it.
On leaving the property we noticed a cat litter tray bagged up but no cat was present. I was advised the owner was on holiday.
After leaving the property and coming straight home I removed my shoes to see red bites on my feet. I then saw fleas on my wooden flooring.
I contacted Ellie straight away and advised her that this property has fleas and my 4 month old daughter and grandmother was with me when viewing this property. Ellie apologised and stated she wasn't aware but would have her manager contact me on his return.
I received a call from Daniel the manager of this branch who pretty much stated I could not prove these fleas were from this property. This I would agree with. In my defence I do not have pets myself, I have wooden flooring in my home and I certainly would have noticed the bites received on a regular basis. Let alone the fact Ellie herself was aware an insect crawled over my foot in the property.
I have tried to deal with the issue in my home with sprays etc but this has not worked. After three days and the risk to my daughter I have contacted an exterminator.
My other half contacted Daniel for a contribution or kind will gesture to the cost this has incurred me. Daniel repeated what he said before and stated his colleagues and other people have viewed the property and have not found this problem. The landlord has also stated he does not have fleas and there is nothing they will do.
I understand fully their position and that the landlord does not wish to admit his property requires investigation but if anyone is going to view a 1bed in William hunter way be cautious it is riddled with fleas and I am sure Daniel or the landlord will not be admitting this to prospective buyers.
Sadly estate agents have not changed and where I have been honest with this company they have chosen to deceive. I will ask if the landlord is on holiday how does he know he doesn't have fleas?
Maybe the staff at this agency also need to check there office and homes if they have been in and out of the property because it only took five minutes of viewing to have them in my car and in my house.

William H Brown in Brentwood did a great job of selling themselves to us in order to win our business. Sadly, once we'd signed a contract for them to market our property that's where the 'great job' finished.
The service we received from William H Brown in Brentwood was utterly 'underwhelming' every step of the way. Things started badly when a 'Senior Negocitator' (!) took the marketing photos of the house with his mobile phone. They were dreadful. My children could have done a better job. William H Brown instructed a proffessional photographer to take some photos free of change by way of an apology, we were hoping the service would improve....
Sadly, it didn't. We accepted an offer and 3 weeks into the 'sale' we were told the buyer didn't have the funds for the house. William H Brown had put a 'Sold' sign up outside the property, and on the website, before the financial checks had been carried out, or even a survey had been done!
A few months later we accepted a second offer. We were told the sale would complete within 28 days. As the weeks ticked along we expressed concern to William H Brown that nothing had happened, no survey, no nothing. On the 28th day the buyer pulled out, again, lack of funds!
Our opinion is the staff at William H Brown do not have enough experience in the industry, they are all very young and come across as enthusiastic but in our opinion they lack any 'edge'....
...and they obviously aren't dong the basic checks at the beginning of the 'sale' to ensure the funds are available.
One day one of the agents left a voicemail for me, some feedback to tell me how a viewing had gone. Apparently when the prospective buyer had expressed a concern about the fabric of the house next-door the agent had 'reassured' him that "the neighbours house must be ok because they drive a BMW, which is an expensive car". The fact the agent shared that with me was really concerning. The fact that he had no other come back to an objection from a prospective buyer, other than comment on the price of someone's car, made him sound very immature.
We feel like we wasted 3 months with William H Brown and the moment our contract with them came to an end we were very pleased to change agents (we have signed up with a more mature agent who really know how to engage with prospective buyers!). I have already written a long review, but this doesn't detail even half of the total shambles that William H Brown called a 'marketing service'. Awful, awful, awful!!

Just wanted to show some appreciation of the service provided by Daisy. I noticed she is fairly new to the lettings industry, yet has without question been the most competent and attentive agent I have dealt with over the past few weeks.
I manage a large Estate Agency in London and cannot believe how utterly hopeless 90% of the agents in Brentwood have been. She actually listened to the criteria and understood what was relevant to me and what wasn't. Clearly trained her well - Be careful though as I was somewhat tempted to poach her from you!

Daniel was one of the agents I asked to give me a quote on selling my house. We decided to give him a crack as he seemed to be the most passionate about working for me. He launched my house with an open house and came down and ran the day for me. We received two offers and selected one based on the position they were in. Sarah then ran the sale and updated us and my chain on a weekly basis. I would recommend William H Brown Brentwood.
