I went into the home buying process as a first time buyer feeling slightly apprehensive about the whole thing, having heard some less than stellar stories about estate agents and knowing that the house I was purchasing had some unusual circumstances to it. Williams of Petersfield couldn’t have proven my assumptions more wrong.
Tina and Julie were utterly fantastic the entire way through. I felt entirely supported and well-informed by Julie throughout. I found her warmth and down-to-earth honesty refreshing. She was brilliant at managing tensions in the chain when things were getting heated towards end, and was the first to call and congratulate me once we got there. Can’t thank her enough! I’d absolutely use Williams again when the time comes.

Unlike some agents in Petersfield, who are dishonest rogues, Julie and her team provide an honest and straightforward service. They are knowledgeable, courteous and make themselves available to support and guide through what can be a difficult process. I would recommend them over some nearby agents who feel it's OK to lie to customers.

I would like to thank Eric for his assistance during the "check out" after recently having to move out of the flat I had been renting .
Due to work commitments I was unable to be there when the Inventory was done. Eric reassured me that it was fine and once completed would be in touch.
I was able to respond to the completed Inventory by email with my answers - which Eric forwarded onto the landlord.
The whole procedure went smoothly and I would like to thank Eric for his professionalism in this regard.

Having had a poor experience with our previous Agent, We were concerned about making the same mistake again.
Our fears were soon laid to rest By Julie (the Manager) And sales staff Juliet and Jenny, all delightful. They were always contactable and never failed to keep us up to date as the sale progressed.
As we were out of the country for the latter part of the sale they offered to carry out a routine inspection and even read the utilities on the completion date

The property was listed via dual agents and I almost missed out on the property due to some underhand tactics from the opposing agent. Fortunately this wasn’t the case, Juliet in particular was extremely helpful in this scenario and even arranged for me to view the property on her day off; she really went above and beyond. A dreadful company, they sold us a residential apartment in Petersfield that turned out to have a commercial lease. We only found out after our solicitor reviewed the contract. £1200 in legal fees and 2 months of our time wasted. Williams are refusing to even apologise, presumably because that would admit their incompetence. Just be very careful dealing with them and don't trust anything you are told both verbally and in writing. They are a disgrace.

Williams gave the most positive (and as it turned out - realistic) valuation of our property, and delivered with finding us the right buyers. Their fees were also very competitive. Any hiccups along the way were down to solicitors, and so Williams (Juliet in particular) did exactly what they needed to to get us to the finish line.

I have given 1 star because you can’t give none.
Our property is on with Williams (I think). We were told you get a weekly update. This just doesn’t happen.
I called the office Friday morning, was told a call back would happen shortly, it’s now Saturday evening, still waiting for the call.Our house has been taken of the internet and not even advertised in the shop window, it’s now a bank holiday weekend and our property cannot be viewed by prospective buyers until at least Tuesday the service is diabolical, how they stay in business amazes me.

Williams of Petersfield were absolutely fantastic. We tried to sell our house via Haarts who massively over priced it and did very little to increase our chances of selling. Colin and his team clearly have great knowledge of the local market, and our house was sold within a few weeks. Williams of Petersfield were very easy for us to work with; honest, reliable and trustworthy. We found them to be incredibly approachable; nothing was ever too much trouble. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for agents and cannot thank them enough.

Alistair Hire the letting manager called me following my initial review to threaten and attempt to intimidate me into taking my review down. My review is an accurate account of my personal experience of Williams and I will not be taking it down despite Mr Hires threat of legal action. My comments were. 1. Unnecessary and unauthorised repairs . 2 no sensible rent reviews. 3 tenants said the house was cleaner when they left than when they moved in despite me paying for a professional clean via Williams and rude bullying behaviour demonstrated again by Alistair telephone call.
