Initially a very promising agent. However, 10 weeks and only 1 viewing so I thought it time to change to someone else. Appreciate the market challenges but there is no excuse to keep to a notice period when you aren't performing. Especially when no viewing can happen during the majority of that period - as was the case. Very disappointed. How anyone can intentionally and vindictively hinder people desperate to sell their property is beyond me. Pleas for rational behaviour fall on deaf ears. Don't sign a contract with these people is my advice.

I have met with Mike Watkinson (Branch Manager) from Wood and Pilcher for property valuations on two occasions, once in 2022 and again in 2024. While my interactions with Mike were always pleasant, I have been consistently disappointed by the valuations he provided.
In both instances, the valuations were significantly lower than my expectations, based on my own research. Consequently, I chose not to list my properties with Wood and Pilcher, instead opting for another estate agent who provided a more accurate and favourable valuation. Notably, I was able to sell my properties for £35-50k more than the valuations given by Mike.
I advise anyone selling their home to be cautious and not take valuations from some agents at face value. It appears that some agents may undervalue properties for a quicker sale.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Wood and Pilcher for property valuations.

Having used Wood and Pilcher to sell and buy properties previously, I had no hesitation using them again to sell a property. Every member of their Heathfield team is superb, very efficient and responsive. I had no issues at all, my calls and requests were dealt with very promptly, the sale process was very smooth, I couldn't ask for more. I would like to specifically mention Mike the manager, Tom who dealt with my property sale and Ryan who assisted when Tom was unavailable.

We had a good steady flow of viewings and we achieved exactly what we were looking for in terms of price.

Wood and Pilcher are excellent estate agents. I found them to be professional, friendly, approachable and efficient. They produced excellent photographs, showed around a steady stream of potential buyers and kept me informed with feedback. Once an offer was received they have been instrumental in keeping the sale on track: contacting all parties and solicitors and keeping me up to date.

All of the team at Wood and Pilcher were fantastic from the start of the process to the end. Very professional, they clearly know the market in our area, and their advise was spot on. The best part for me was the communication. We don't often buy and sell homes, so the process is a bit daunting and confusing at times, but I was actively kept in the loop by the team. We were lucky enough to not only sell our property with W&P, but the house we bought was through them as well, making it as seamless as possible. From our first meeting with them, they have been nothing short of excellent. Firstly their valuation was very realistic and totally achievable. They ensured that all of their agents came to view our property, so that they could then describe it with enthusiasm to potential buyers. All of the viewings were accompanied by them, which we, personally prefer. The marketing material was very professional and really showed off the house and garden's best bits. Once we had accepted an offer, the post offer team were brilliant. Melissa, was our main point of contact and she liaised with the whole team keeping us regularly up to date with what stage we were at. All in all I really couldn't recommend Wood and Pilcher enough and would recommend them to anyone who is thinking about selling.

Having had some pretty poor estate agent experiences in the past, I am naturally sceptical of them all. Wood & Pilcher, and the Heathfield office in particular, have been nothing short of phenomenal for us. They’ve certainly bucked the trend of my past experiences!
Extremely proactive, honest, quick to react when needed, down to earth, realistic and above all, they do all they say they will… quickly. None of the stereotypical estate agent bs either! Thank you for all your efforts on a challenging chain.

Very good feedback about the agent initially. However, a promised call back about a property which was on sale and had just received an offer (TO BE FIRMED UP!!) I was PROMISED a call back after the weekend when the confirmation was to have been done by the buyer. ONLY! No call, no nothing took place. No call, no update. NOTHING!! So from what APPEARED TO BE AN EXCELLENT AND PROMISING START?? It ALL came a tumbling down!
Shame as it was an absolutely ideal property for my Wife And I!! But alas the lack of reply from the Agent!! Was, yes well, VERY DISSAPOINTING!! To csay the least.
