We are a privately owned estate agency partnership in business since 1850 specialising in the sale of individual properties, be they period/classic or individual modern, in and around Ipswich up to a 20 mile radius. We set a high priority on customer service, keeping in regular touch with clients and buyers to enable sales to go to conclusion: not all agents do. We have a London Mayfair Office which gives us a useful draw of buyers from the Capital and around, using their website and that of Rightmove, Zoopla, Prime Location. My wife and I viewed a property several months ago, which was lovely but in all honesty overpriced. We put in a more reasonable offer below the asking price, to which the agent seemed to imply it was not a sensible offer at all - despite us being first time buyers, no chain, etc. Another offer at asking price was received and seller opted for that - fair enough. A few months later the agent rang asking to see what our situation was as the other offer had fallen through - by which point we had found somewhere else with an agent who made us feel respected and valued as opposed to judged for seeing that the asking price was above market levels. I appreciate the agent will push for whatever price they can get, however their behaviour here arguably cost them our business.... Read more
