If it weren't for the outstanding work carried out by Y Homes during our recent move, we'd still be in our old house. Without Y Homes, our move would not have happened. At various points it seemed our chain was going to collapse for a variety of reasons. Other estate agents and various solicitors involved proved difficult to contact, unreliable and often unprofessional. Y Homes was the opposite of this. Of the many solicitors and estate agents involved in our chain, Y Homes are the only one I will be recommending anyone else use. Becky and the team were outstanding. Constantly supportive, communicative and reassuring throughout, I cannot praise this company enough for the incredible effort they put in to help ensure my little family were able to make our dream move happen. I recently purchased a property through YHomes and couldn’t recommend them enough. The team were absolutely fantastic, from my initial viewing, to pre-purchase survey recommendations, all the way through to a post purchase check-in. Despite challenging and busy times, with COVID and a rush on the market due to the stamp-duty holiday, they were always friendly and professional and provided regular updates whilst we waited for our chain to fall into place. Really lovely team and I’ll definitely be keeping them in mind for the future.

Honestly, this team are a breath of fresh air!! Although I was buying a house they offered for sale, and so I was not paying them in any way, their service, professionalism and moreover CONTACT with me was exemplary. They kept me up to date with key news and had weekly updates as well, exactly what I wanted. They were even very helpful with some after sales queries that I had. This is the 3rd time in 4 years my son and I have used Y Homes when selling a property in York. The team offers a 1st class service from preparation of sales particulars right through to completion communicating efficiently at every stage with feedback after every viewing. I have no doubt that Becky's liaising between buyer's solicitor and ours helped us achieve the desired completion date.
The apartment we sold was a holiday let so viewings (conducted by a Y Homes team member) had to be worked around occupancy, I can imagine that this may have been inconvenient but they did so at their very competitive rate.
I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Y Homes; a small but perfectly formed team of Andrew and Becky with Jessica and Lisa assisting in the office. Your sale matters to them, that's why they go the extra mile!

Andrew valued realistically and achieved that price, no pie in the sky valuations to come down when no viewings forthcoming.
Very professional and informative of buyers position and backed up with facts.
The sale is the easy bit,it's the work behind the scenes that Becky and Jessica put in to keep me informed and stress free.
Things got a bit difficult towards completion due to the chain, but I was kept informed of everything.
Half the price of other agents but twice as good.

After an unpleasant experience with our first estate agents, it was a pleasure to do business with yhomes. They were professional and sincere and always kept you in the loop as to what was going on. We sold within the first week and I don't believe in coincidence! Andrew and Becky were a pleasure to deal with and you just knew they had your back. Jessica was lovely too. I think because they are a family firm, you don't get lost like you do with some bigger outfits, who promise the earth and deliver nothing. Hello Preston Faker, who did not even notice our house sale was falling through till we made them notice. yhomes were recommended to us and Andrew came out and was straight and honest. We waited 6 weeks to ditch the other crew and never looked back. yhomes give you the option of doing your own viewings which suited us. We had a dozen viewings very quickly and ostensibly sold in the first week. Always had feedback which was great after the first experience where you had to keep chasing for it. Many thanks folks!

Selling a house while we were overseas is obviously much more difficult for any estate agent. However, my choice of Yorkshire Homes proved to be absolutely excellent. If you're thinking of using an online estate agent, read this first!
I had intended on just getting a valuation from YHomes and planned on using an online estate agent to sell my home given their competitive rates and the buoyancy of the York market at present.
When I met with Andrew, his professionalism and local knowledge, coupled with the exceptionally competitive rates, made me think again. I made the choice to use YHomes and I could not be happier with that choice.
The YHomes team organised viewings with people who were in a great position to buy, they kept me updated and I had regular contact with their friendly, helpful team. Their longer opening hours also meant I could talk outside of my own work hours.
Within a few short weeks, my property sold and then the fun process starts...dealing with solicitors, surveyors, mortgage providers.
This is where YHomes were absolutely invaluable to me. Coordinating multiple parties, many of which they had established relationships with, keeping everyone on track, hearing from all involved and picking up where there might be misunderstandings or miscommunication. I would never have been able to navigate this process successfully without YHomes.
I can hand-on-heart say my sale would have fallen through if it weren't for Andrew, Becky and the team's dogged-determination in getting us to the finishing line. I don't often make recommendations but YHomes has earned this ten times over.

Our property was expertly marketed and sold within a couple of days with Andrew and his team keeping us abreast of the situation. Indeed the whole customer experience was as painless as it can be when selling a property. With Y homes selling fees at .75%, this is the best deal in York in my opinion, so 'Y' bother going elsewhere.

Really impressed with the dedication shown by Andrew & Y Homes with our recent sale. This is a competitively priced Estate Agency but without any detriment upon the service you will receive. Indeed quite the contrary. We required, from an Estate Agent, someone who took a personal interest who had long office hours and who would offer a reliability and professionalism. Y homes delivered on all of these points.
We were fortunate and had a quick sale but would like to make special mention of Andrew's post sale diligence which made the period from offer to contract as stress free as possible.
I will be recommending Y home to friends and family - not just on price but also on service.

I cannot recommend Y Homes enough, his fees are simply the icing on the cake and it just goes to show that you don't need fancy offices in town and a fleet of cars to sell houses.

Andrew at Y Homes negotiated the sale of the house we bought in a very professional manner. He maintained excellent communication throughout the process even though it took 8 months to complete. But the feather in his cap came about when he resolutely contacted every solicitor and agent down the chain to identify what was delaying the sales process when none of the other agents or solicitors were interested in taking responsibility.
