I recently moved into one of the properties advertised. When I arrived things were not as I had anticipated, which caused more than a bit of anxiety of my behalf.
Trina was kind, courteous, considerate and explained things in a calm and clear manner. It must be added that this happened on a Saturday afternoon. While many might have fobbed me off to the following Monday, or simply been a lot less pleasant than Trina was, Trina not only stayed late to assist me she did so with good grace.
I would also like to thank Trina's manager (whose name I do not know), who was on call to provide help.

This estate agent one is worst experience. Staff is like head less chickenpox not know what they doing . Person called Stealla one of the world's rudest person. She act she knows every thing but no idea what she is actually doing . Three month my deposit sti have not been returned.la d loarf had spoken but they have no staff communication to update records. Three months u sti have no received my deposit back. Very rude on telephone. Raise sound and abusive on phone worse experience

I instructed Your Move, Egham after being unsuccessful and feeling let down by another agent. Helen and Richard were both fantastic the whole way through to completion. We had a few hiccups along the way, including losing the chain at one point but they found another buyer within 48 hours! They are experienced professionals and gave sound advice throughout, with regular communication and always acted proactively. I couldn’t fault them! Thank you ????????

Absolute amazing cooperation from Cameron – he was extremely helpful over the phone and understanding of our situation. He was able to liaise with the tenants and book us a last-minute viewing which ultimately resulted us loving and getting it in the span of 3 days!
I have talked to countless agents these past few months and no one was as ready to get the job done except Cameron. As soon as we met him and expressed our interest, he was extremely proficient in providing all details and communicating our questions to the landlord. I was very satisfied by the services provided by the agency, they were the intermediate between me and the landlord. Whenever I needed something, they were very responsive and did it for me. Especially Hayley who assisted me during my tenancy period, she was very responsive via email, she sent me an engineer when I had a problem with my boiler, she sent a new fridge when the old one was not working. She made things easier for me. Overall, I would recommend people to rent through this agency since they are very helpful and responsive.

Very slow at getting back to you.
They charge you admin fees for the smallest of changes when renewing contacts
When you make payments, there system fails to show payments, took over 1 mouth to get a name removed from a contact. I had to send a screenshot from my banking app with personal details in the end to get this matter resolved.
Very unorganised, I was postponed 1 week when moving in and found out last minute (1 day before the move date) that it would be postponed a further 2 days, so I had to re-book with the moving company last minute. it was a nightmare and I lost money because of this.
Then had delays on the day when getting the keys, waited till almost 3:00pm
Once my contact has ended and I move home, I will make sure I avoid this branch.

Appalling! My son is a co-tenant of a property let by this team. There is a problem with the bed in his room. It is broken and the repair has been bodged leaving it unsafe to sleep on. The landlord met me there and agreed but has since told Your-Move it is not broken or unfit for use and they will not provide a rebate for the 11 days he has been unable to stay there. I have created a temporary fix for the issue to enable him to stay there now. Shameful service from Your-Move.

Your Move has been helpful throughout our tenancy. As a group of students living in private accommodation for the first time, your move advocated for us to the landlord and explained processes we weren't necessarily aware of. I would like to mention Gabby Casson in particular as she has been continuously supportive and helpful through any problems that we had and through the process of getting our deposit back. Previously poor working relationship with this organisation in terms of communicating with the landlords of our property , no follow up, no information flow and no apparent genuine interest for our situation , for example 6 weeks wait to fix a broken toilet flush .
So it was with trepidation I phoned to advise of a flooded kitchen.I spoke to Gabby ,and she conducted herself in such a way that it was the opposite of earlier interactions.
Gabby was attentive,considerate and empathetic to the situations and said she would follow up, which she duly did.
We have communicated by phone/email and so far Gabby has delivered on anything she has said she would do as well as effectively managing both our relationships with the contractors involved.
Its a huge shift in attitude of Your Move and its approach to customers. Its very much welcome and I hope the professional approach role modelled by Gabby becomes the culture across the organisation.

From the start, upon arrival at the property the agents had failed to clean to an acceptable standard. Predictably, upon check out they then saw fit to charge us a full fee for property cleaning (something I suspect they had also done to the preceding tenants). With a contractual obligation of no more than 10 working days to provide deposit return, I am now over one month past the end of my contract and still waiting - whenever I or my housemates have phoned or emailed we have received confused, obfuscating answers or excuses, rather than being paid the money we are owed.
They have mishandled deposit payments between tenants, as well as between ourselves and the landlord. Despite one or two good, hardworking individuals, the company as a whole is very unprofessional, does not manage properties well, and frankly receives money for managing properties that they appear to have no intention of managing. This is my second tenancy with YourMove Egham, and the second time out of two that I am having to consider legal action for basic deposit return fees. I urge anyone to avoid renting - or indeed, letting - with this company. No matter how nice the property may appear, it is not worth the hassle and frank unprofessionalism that comes with the establishment.

Appalling service, paid my legally protected deposit to someone I don't know and expected me to chase it up. Every time I tried to contact them they tried to pass me off to people who still couldn't deal with it. It is very clear that the staff are not trained properly and have no regard for protecting their clients' interests, which is a direct contradiction to the statement on their website.

He made the whole process of renting straight forward and hassle free. It is not hard to find praise for Your Move and Gabby Casson. All the staff were professional, courteous and efficient. Furthermore all calls/emails were returned within 24 hours and my son and his fellow tenants were always kept fully informed of any inspections/viewings. Gabby was particularly helpful. While always acting in the best interest of her landlord, she made sure that she was available for the tenants. Speaking as someone who has had their own Estate Agency business, I am sure that Gabby will go far and is a credit to the company.

We have recently been dealing with Gabby at the Egham Branch of Your Move and have found her to be very friendly, professional and above all incredivly effective in managing the end of our tennancy at a rented property in the area. Moving home is usually a very stressful time, but through Gabby's hard work and assistance this has proved to be as smooth a transition as possible for us and we are very thankful for her help and support throughout the process. Instead of holding our deposits, YourMove gave our deposits to our landlord to keep safe, which is VERY illegal.
This means we are now in a legal battle with our landlord to try and get our deposits back.
Also, a lot of houses we were shown on our tour when picking houses out were in poor condition. I even saw a house where the ceilings had so much mould in them, it was basically black.

I’ve moved in for almost 2 months and there were some serious maintenance issues I reported several times but no one followed up until Gabby took handle! Gabby is so helpful and truly keeps things in mind, all the problems are solved perfectly under her help! She followed up every process to make sure my requests are fulfilled. If every one working in Your Move or any other service industry has the same attitude like she has, all the customers will be satisfied as I am. Thank you Gabby:)

One of the worst estate agents. DO NOT use this estate agents. They do not know the current laws and legislations and appear to not even follow through on their contract. Their customer service is unprofessional and whenever you have a problem, they simply state 'ask the landlord'. They are of no help throughout the year and are untrustworthy. I would 100% not go for them if you are a student looking for a house. Its a shame that you cant post with zero stars, because that is what it deserves.

When I quickly signed up and asked them whether I can view the room today and they were able to accommodate me on the day I called. Less than 5 days of moving into my new apartment, I couldn't be any more happier. Thank you Ben!
Customer service is extremely helpful and they are always able to answer all of my questions!
Their availability is also quite good (you can walk in and they will be able to deal with you immediately) and there are no waiting lines. When I ask them if I can see the same room again they let me see it.

They have no respect, totally unprofessional service and they never reply/respond to emails or calls. We are not the only one's who have had issues with this firm and if we continue to use them, we will not be the last.

Well again Your Move have anticipated our search for a new home and come up trumps with 2 properties that would suit our needs. Sue and Michelle have particularly done us proud with what has been offered and another sigh of relief from me for not having to worry and leaving everything in their capable hands. Could not recommend them highly enough.
Great service all the way through our tenancy ,everyone in the Egham branch is so helpful and the management has been first class. Whenever there has been a problem the maintenance people have been with us very quickly and remedied any problem expeditiously.

Susan, the estate agent was so lovely and patient. She really listened to my requirements and showed me houses that she knew I would like. The paperwork took 2 days in total and then the inventory check was very quick as well. Perfect to find student accommodation. Would definitely recommend.

Wish I had come to see the review before going with your move egham...my whole experience of living in UK has been spoiled by them. These people are very dishonest, disrespectful and Cruel. Before getting it to lease, they’ll promise you the world. But once you sign the lease, they’ll treat you in one in billion. For every issues, they’ll have reason” we have other tenant orders to fix or take care”. Wish they had told me this before I signed the lease. It’s definitely a life changing decision (worst decision )to go with your move... Again I wish, we had a zero rating to rate them, that’s what these guys deserve.

Constantly stressing us out by putting the property back onto the open market ‘as the landlord has requested’ which is not true as I have checked with the landlord. Only respond to emails when they want to. Never called back when I left a message. Witnessed when I was in their office how they never take any responsibility and blame other colleagues when they make a mistake. Ridiculously unhelpful and unprofessional.

Writing this anonymously since I still haven't received my deposit back.
Where do I start.
We signed to take the house last year with Holloways. We had no contact for 6 months, even after sending multiple emails. Turns out, Holloways had been acquired by Your-Move. Did they bother telling anyone? Of course not. So all of our emails fell on deaf ears as Holloways no longer existed. We eventually got contact from them, demanding tons of paperwork, and to sign a contract. The contract had several errors, with many names spelled wrong. We of course then asked them to revise it. Except this happened multiple times, to the point where I don't even know which contract is the current one and we even moved in with no contract due to them still revising it.
We wasted many days waiting to move in as they had lost multiple deposits and were claiming we owed them money -- we did not. 3 days later, they "found it" in another account that they had not checked(?).
The landlord entered the property multiple times without prior permission from us, the tenants, even to the point where my housemate locked herself in her room because she was terrified we were being burgled. We complained to your-move, due to this being an obvious violation of the contract. Of course, absolutely nothing happened and the landlord did it a few more times.
The shower became blocked, we attempted to unclog it only to find that sewage started spewing out from the plughole. No-one could wash and daren't use anything that drained and it wasn't fixed for 2 weeks. It was disgusting and I had to travel all the way back to my mother's house and live there for a few weeks.
We later found out that the tumble-drier we had had a manufacturing fault. We, ourselves, booked for an engineer to come around and make a modification. The engineer wouldn't touch the house due to the extremely dodgy and outdated electrics -- we didn't even have a fusebox. We informed Your-Move. Again, nothing. This happened again when the entire downstairs lighting stopped working. Engineer came over, said it was bordering on dangerous, they informed Your-Move. Nothing.
The mould got so bad in one room that it was causing an electrical outlet to shock one of my housemates every time she used her laptop charger or any other device. The "engineer" that came over claimed it was static from the carpet discharging and no further action was taken.
Living in a house where neither the landlord or the letting agent gives a single damn about how safe it is, is simply terrifying. It wasn't like it was a cheap place either - I pay £50 more per month now to share a lovely 1 bedroom flat than I did sharing a 5 bedroom house that was in absolute ruin and was quite frankly a danger to everyone occupying it.
The icing on the cake was when I handed in my keys. We had an inventory a few days later after I handed them in, and they claimed they never received them. They had lost them.
Their employees are rude, patronising and they are money-grabbing scumbags. I can't speak for how they are towards landlords, but to tenants -- you're basically treated like a piece of dirt.
Any student considering renting with your-move, even if the place is beautiful and affordable -- I urge you. Do not. It is not worth the stress and anxiety it will bring you. You're not human to them. You're a second class citizen and that's how you'll always be in their eyes. Don't even bother viewing a place if it's with your-move.
I've heard Your-Move is losing business, and landlords are jumping ship. I'm not usually a resentful person, but good. They deserve the loss in business. They deserve to be shut down.
Goodbye Your-Move, and good riddance.

Lost my passport photocopies then had the gall to tell me I hadn't handed them in when I'd watched him scan it in front me me. Drew up our first contract on the back of a scrap piece of paper, tried to take the house and put it back on the market twice. Charged hundreds of pounds in administrative fees that I would dearly like returned (we are students) and was all around inept, hard to reach and useless. Also, their reference program crashed so we had to do it twice.
The sooner a law is passed restricting the ability of letting agencies to charge at will the better. This company should be closed down. The actual landlord was lovely and was similarly aghast and struck at their incompetence.

YourMove Egham worked very hard to find me good tenants. There were a lot of viewings and some tenants pulled out after everything was agreed, but they carried on with enthusiasm until good tenants were found. In particular, Sue & Dean on the viewings, and Abbie on the admin, were excellent. When I phoned or emailed Abbie, she always came back to me really fast, which is quite unusual. I will definitely use them again when the need arises.

Just awful. Stood in the pissing rain for an estate agent who never showed. Then they tried to show me a house yet "forgot" to mention it had no central heating and had mould in most rooms. Woman (Sue) was extremely rude over the phone without any provocation.

Very greedy agent. Charged me a lot from my deposit. Even all those damages were made by last resident and also showed in check in report. After I rised a dispute, they suddenly made up a check out fee, which they never mention 2 month ago. Their service is really bad. After you rented with them, their attitude will changed. They only care landlords' interested. They don't protect residents' rights who rent whit then. Think carefully before you rent with them.

My housemates and I were struggling to look for a place to stay due to problems with our other rented property. All the team tried extremely hard to find us a place and gave us advice on what we could do in the meantime. During a large panic on our side, they managed to calm us down and supported us through the process. My experience with Your Move has been amazing.

WORST ESTATE AGENTS IN THE UNIVERSE!
Your-Move (Egham) believe they know what they're doing but they simply don't! As I'm a student they believe they can take as much money from me as possible. I seriously would not recommend any student to go through this estate agent at any cost!
Our toilet over our 1 year tenancy contract did not work intermittently for a total of 18 days. After many attempts to try and get this fixed, Your-Move just gave up. They even offered to fit a new toilet into the house, but that did not happen. Would you pay your rent for a house with 1 toilet that doesn't work? I don't think you would.
The staff at Your-Move (and Holloways Residential) are very rude, impatient, cocky and to be honest, don't even know what they're talking about half the time. They assume that because we're 'students', we don't know how to deal with renting accommodation as we have no experience.
I agree with all the other reviews regarding the appalling service Your-Move provide; this doesn't even deserve 1 star.
Another bad thing about Your-Move is that they don't inform the landlords regarding the issues the tenants are having; there seems to be a massive lack of communication between Your-Move and the landlords (the communication between tenants and Your-Move is also appalling).
We are now in the process of trying to get our security deposit back; the check-out inventory wasn't even sent to us until we asked for it (they most likely weren't going to send it us so we couldn't dispute the inventory and so they could take more money from our deposit). Disgraceful.

I am the mother of one of the students that used this service. I can not advise any body strongly enough not to use this agent.
I concur with the rest of the reviews strongly about the staff with the added bonus of their lack of understanding of the service they are providing around certain legislation around renting out property
It started off bad at the start of the academic year when we turned up after a nine hour journey to retrieve the keys in the opening hours they had posted on their web sight. Only to find they had closed. We had to find a hotel to stay in for two nights before my daughter and I could get into her house. Which was an extra cost we did not need or warrant.
Their excuse staff shortages and that they had to sort out an emergency. Well we were an emergency as no one had thought to take a mobile so they could deal with enquiries trying to use their facility when they should have been their.
Secondly we are trying to retrieve my daughter's deposit as we speak yes in September the tennancy ended at the beginning of July.
Again numerous phone calls no response to my emails at all and three different stories as to the situation of the deposit.
They did not even know it was being held in a secure deposit scheme.
So if you are renting using this organisation this academic year. Be aware be very aware.
So I rate this company minus unfortunately it does not go that far back

Unnecessary stress, rude and unhelpful staff and complete inability to do anything. I've heard sly remarks behind my housemates backs from a staff member, I've been unable to regain my deposit due to the staff not keeping up to date and not bothering to do anything even after countless phone calls and visits and students are forced to use this service due to a lack of alternatives. Shameful and dissapointing.
