We chose Your Move New Cross to sell our property. They were easy to respond during the first few days but as the time went by, they would not reply to our emails. We had to call them to get a response. I guess this is to prevent anything they say to be recorded on email hence being evidence against them.
I thought i could rely on them to keep the keep the sale moving. I thought wrong. If i didnt keep on chasing, i wouldnt have known that the sellers solicitor have got the wrong email address of my solicitor! It wasnt the agents fault, but if I was not persistent enough, noone would know.
We also lost a property that we wanted to buy because we where reassured that the sale was going as expected. We were told that we can complete but it never happened. We almost gave up with the sale but we were already into deep to pull out.
For the record, we were told that the longest the sale would be was 16weeks. In the end, the sale took 10months!
I dont know if I can recommend them really or is this is really how agents in UK work. Probably paid to poorly to care.

Beyond awful service. Told me (in writing) congratulations I had secured a property to rent and then let me transfer a grand holding deposit then called an hour later to say actually never mind they’d had a higher offer and were refunding me within five days. They then took six months and me calling every day to refund the deposit amount. DO NOT USE THEM.

Phil at Your Move was absolutely excellent - would highly recommend using this estate agent. He managed to sell my property in a really tricky market, was always very communicative, and worked incredibly hard on my behalf when there were obstacles and delays with the sale.
I first tried selling on a self-managed platform (terrible idea!) and then used Phil because he was by far the most knowledgable and pleasant estate agent I dealt with, and Your Move’s commision was also extremely competitive compared with others locally. Just sad I won’t be able to use him in future as I’ve moved to a new area! Thanks Phil.

Phil and David provided me with excellent service in the sale of my flat. I was so glad I chose Your Move in New Cross. I chose them from a list of about five or six other Estate Agents, and Phil was the one I felt very happy to work with, thinking it may be too good to be true, believe me, it was all good to the end.
From the beginning I was very impressed at how Phil worked, he is very knowledgeable, does his homework/ research first and fast, doesn't waste anytime at all, gets things done very efficiently, and what I appreciated mostly, he listened to me and gave me a chance to try my ideas/suggestions first, for which I will always be grateful.

Don't get me wrong, Phil definitely is a salesmen and wants to make his sales, but I found him more honest and helpful than any other estate agent that I delt with. There was no games (like with loads of other agents) that someone else put and offer and i need to put my offer fast before the other one is accepted. Phil really cared to get to know what exactly I was looking for and it was him that found my property and contracted me thinking it might suit me. Phil and his team were always easy to contact and fast with replying. They informed me that the completion went though and I can collect the keys before my solicitor did! I sold a 2 bed flat in New Cross, South East London. Phil and the team from Your Move New Cross were very professional through out the process. Good communicators and pro active in chasing both the buyers solicitors and ours.
We agreed a very fair fee rate, which was far more reasonable then any of the other estate agents that we met. We also found them to be open, honest and transparent. Qualities often not found in an estate agent!
Phil himself has twenty years + experience of the South East London market and this was demonstrated in his thorough knowledge of our area and accurate and realistic valuation of the property.
They seemed to have good connections with credible, no nonsense professionals and this helped us to gain a buyer who could really appreciate the character and value of the property we were selling. This in turn helped us gain a final agreed price that was very much in line with our expectations.
A big thank you to the Your Move team and I would happily work with them again.

A nice refreshing change to be able to deal with friendly and professional estate agent. Phil whom dealt with our sale was fantastic, He kept me informed of every step of the transaction. From our first meeting with him for Phil to value the leasehold flat for sale He gave invaluable advice as to how we should proceed. The flat itself was a Victorian house converted around the sixty's into 2 flats and converted in a quirky manner, as these were done back at that time. Feedback was provided by your-move following viewings which was helpful and questions were also relayed to us that were asked by the potential buyers with respect to a whole host of things such as the shared garden lay-out and so forth. This excellent line of 3 way communication I thought very professional. I can highly recommend Phil to any seller.

I have just come to the end of a long and complicated sale of a flat, involving a long drawn out probate process, made very challenging by the Covid-19 situation, and the fact that I live 200 miles away from the location of the flat.

They showed me a property that wasn’t available, I paid them a holding fee with no explanation as to when how I get it back, they sent me a draft contract with the wrong address [It was for the restaurant below], they led me to believe they were managing a property that they weren't.
As far as I’m concerned, Your Move New Cross is sneaky, duplicitous and you need to read under their tongues to view the small print pertaining to anything that comes out of their mouths.
I am still in a hotel with my belongings in a Big Yellow Storage with no idea when I get the keys for the place I have paid for.

My housemates and I were utterly scammed by the letting agents at Your Move in New Cross. Marcus Lee and Marcel completely misled us about the state of the house and the furnishings. We signed a contract upon agreeing and confirming that certain refurbishments would be completed, and we turned up to a flat that resembled a building site. Furthermore, the flat was supposed to be furnished and it was completely empty upon arrival - not even a bedframe. Marcus gave me a key at the agency on moving day and told me the landlord would have the other two keys for my housemates, which was a complete lie. I turned up to a house full of mould, with a half broken front door and holes in the floorboards. The house was filthy and hadn't been cleaned as agreed whatsoever. We terminated the contract on that day, but it took us months to get our money back. The agency tried to blame everything on the landlord and vice versa, refusing to compensate us or give us our money back. We had to constantly call the central agency in order to finally get a reduced refund back. Both Marcus and Marcel were rude, patronising, and disregarding of how much inconvenience and stress they cause us. We were left without an apartment on moving day and had to stay with friends till finding a new apartment. Would not recommend whatsoever.

When a smarter and more proactive estate agent negotiated better and got the deal closed, he resentfully phoned and aggressively asked for a reason. Really mixed feelings about this agency. Their processes when I signed up in 2016 were slow, they held up our on-boarding process with spelling errors in official documents and referencing. When we came to renew each year their process was archaic and bureaucratic (they used to require wet signatures from all tenants at the same time in their office that wasn't open after working hours but I believe they were changing this to email signatures a year or so ago). My tenancy with them ended in 2019 when the house was sold and landlord changed. The main positive I would say is that they did not break the rules with us, they weren't intrusive, imposing, and never visited without 24 hours written notice; although in fairness we dealt with maintenance issues directly with the landlord. Not the best agency, not the worst agency.

Abysmal, properly awful company and flat. Felt like I was undercover on Cowboy Builders or Watchdog. I wouldn’t stay in their places if they were the only houses on Earth. Rooms literally covered in mould, half the appliances were broken, they never respond when you ask them about things- one guy called Marcel told us if we didn’t let him in when he wanted, he’d just let himself in whenever. They hired a painter who damaged everyone’s equipment, there were flies in every room before we moved in, they don’t give you your landlord’s details, they sent us letters threatening to evict us over late rent before it was due, they refused to supply furniture they initially promised...there’s prob more as well. Oh yea and they charged a £1421 deposit for a mouldy flat haha. Sleep on the street before you rent with this lot, unless you’re desperate to relive Silent Hill 4.

We wish we could give zero star. We have had a bitter experience with this company. My wife and I were looking for a new home and came across this estate agent on rightmove website. Initially we requested to view a flat in new cross which was taken by another tenant but the estate agent offered us to view another property in old Kent road which we really liked and choose to make our new home. The agent was informed that I am working full-time but my wife is student and working part time and would be back in full time at her current position a month after. The agent never informed us that we are required to have £37k income in total. However, we paid £462 holding deposit and he took 5 days to start referencing. He sent us a form after taking my payment over the phone and the form had a wrong figure. We told us to change the figure after we pointed to him. We offered £1240.00 and landlady accepted. We had less than 4 weeks to get new home. He took more than a week to complete the reference and five days more to tell us the result. He rang us and told us that our annual salary is less than the required income. He was asking us to provide a guarantor but we told him that we got none. He said he will speak to landlord and get back us on that day but he didn’t reply. In addition, he never got us back to us on two time when he said he will get back to us today or shortly. We lost so much time because of not communicating quickly. Last time when I spoke to him, I told him that even you can speak to my wife’s manager who can confirm u that she would be back to full time next week, he asked for the manager’s number but he never communicated him. The agent told me he will give me the final decision on that day but he never called and sent any message but we ranged him so many times. At night we found him advertising the flat again on the website without letting us know (even though he has our holding deposit). Anyways he called my wife next day saying he would refund us the money but the most important fact is that we had only 9 days to look for a new flat. This is was really frustrating for us. If we knew we won’t get the flat for not having income of £37k then we would never have given our holding deposit n waste our time. We got money back today after 3 days but surprisingly we were refunded only £282 in place of £462. It was written on the paper (which he sent us after taking the holding deposit over the phone) that if we don’t pass the reference or withdraw the offer then we won’t be refunded but here we didn’t pass any wrong information or have withdrawn the offer then we are refunded only £282? This is really really frustration from an estate agent like your move. Is there any solution ?? U wasted our 3 weeks almost and left with no choice to get better place or almost becoming homeless. Does this go with your company ethics????

We recently completed on a house purchase in Peckham SE15 where YourMove New Cross were the sellers agents.
Harry was our sales negotiator and main contact in the 4-month purchase process, he is a young and talented agent and has proven himself repeatedly to be switched on and professional, occasionally we have also dealt with the branch manager Phil who has also been great. Harry is very approachable and chatty which can help to establish a rapport with buyers, he certainly succeeded with us.
But special praise must go to James whom went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure the sale went through, we really believe this sale might have not happened if it wasn't for his efforts early on. (this is my personal feeling about the situation described objectively in the second paragraph .)Tried to kick me out from property making up a story that notice has been delivered to me months ago. They didn't know how the notice was delivered or by who or where. Later they admitted this was a mistake. Really? First three people tried to convince me that I received a notice. Very stressful without reason. To clarify the situation has been resolved at the end positively to me however caused a lot of stress to me.
I have received a phone call from the agency in which employee stated that I have to move out as soon as possible as Notice Requiring Possession has been issued two months before the phone call. Following the phone call I have visited the agency and below there is summary of conversation:
• Employee stated that the Notice Requiring Possession for the Flat has been issued two months ago, however he was unable to identify who delivered the Notice. He didn't have any form of confirmation that the Notice was delivered.
• Your Move employee has signed the Notice
• Branch Manager and Employee were unable to identify how the notice was delivered, as stated that "probably" it was left in the communal area.
• I have stated that I or my wife never received Notice Requiring Possession from Your Move, and none of Your Move employees stated to me (before now) the date when I need to vacate the Flat, or that the Notice Requiring Possession has been delivered to me, even that me and my wife spoke with Your Move employees many times since the date indicated on the notice.
• We have looked in to the Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreements for the Flat and established the date of moving out and last payment.
o a new Notice Requiring Possession has been issued
o the Landlord, mentioned that he was not aware that the Notice Requiring Possession for the Flat was issued by Your Move until his conversation with Your Move representative (unspecified date).
• Your move agreed that in the light of above points you will issue a new Notice Requiring Possession of the Flat, and the Notice Requiring Repossession signed by employee on two months ago is not valid.
• The Notice Requiring Possesion of the Flat has been issued on again and I have confirmed receipt of this document.
