Bought a house through Richard James, the person who showed the house was nice. But after I was handed to Danny, he applied pressure and pushed us to use ASAP Assured Sale and Progression. Informing us that the sellers were going to use this too so it would make the process easier.
This was not the case, not only did the sellers not use ASAP but ASAP were the worst solicitors I’ve ever seen. They wrote inaccurate reports, didn’t respond to messages or read documents sent to them. I can only assume that Danny recommended them so he could get further commissions.
When it came to the day of collecting the keys, the agency didn’t even bother to meet me in person. Instead opting to leave the keys with the building receptionist and washing their hands.

The service provided during the purchase of our new house in a new region of the country was impressive from start to finish. A quick understanding of our requirements enabled us to see the property as soon as it came on the market. Laura's gentle but tenacious approach ensured the whole process moved along at pace to a successful conclusion and we moved in on the date agreed at the outset.

Not transparent with information.
A simple query like - the vendor has done modifications, have they got any approvals or planning permission in place is not answered.
The buyer just gets told that "Your Solicitors will need to find it out".
So basically they are expecting the buyer to pay money to solicitors and find this out almost two months in the sale.
Ridiculous!!

Great service from Richard James. Laura Woolley and Ellis Smith we very instrumental in getting a difficult purchase over the line. It nearly fell through due to solicitor delays. But their proactive management of vendor frustration got this over the line. Highly recommended.

Moving into UK for only 3 weeks, we have successfully rented a new build with the help of Richard James. The sales were helpful and the manager, Gemma Cowley was most responsive n efficient in our email exchange, clearing all our queries as we are new to the country.
If we were to buy a house in future, we’d very much like to stick to Richard James.

At the start they were fantastic.
Giving us advice on the value to market at was poor and we ended up
Going with my recommendation.
Negotiation with offers was terrible.
Overall I was really disappointed and left wondering why I am paying them a fee. I felt like no one wanted to work for my sale - just take the first offer.
However, we are also buying from Richard James and Alex from the wroughton office has been outstanding

James and staff at Richard James wroughton were brilliant. Kept us informed at a times. Handled all our enquires politely and efficiently.were very sympathetic when I was very ill and tool a lot of the stress and pressure with the buying of the bungalow off me. Thanks again
