18th Jan 2024 (6 mo. ago)I was initially sceptical about placing our property on the market in October however, the reassurance from Gavin and his team quickly erased any doubts and the first class presentation which included over 50 stunning photographs of the house resulted in a sale after only two day's of being advertised. A first class service offering extremely good value and advice and one i couldn't recommend highly enough.

2nd Jul 2024 (25 days ago)I appreciate the staffs and their efforts. However, very unfortunately, at least some (if not all) pictures of the properties are too old and so are misleading. I drove 3.5 hours to Stirling to view the property at 10A Upper Craigs, to which I said I was even ready to pay the deposit even without viewing the property. The advertised images were fantastic but when I was stressed to come for a viewing, and I did, it was a messed up property which had all doors broken, walls leaking/dripping, punch-broken doors, hung cabinets and unclean floor and shelfs. The place also had bugs and insects and showed no signs of maintenance.

26th Sep 2023 (10 mo. ago)I requested a visit for a valuation at Allen & Harris estate agents and had a date booked. I was allocated an estate agent from the start and he made contact with me by email to introduce himself. This gave me reassurance and comfort that I had a direct contact with an estate agent from the beginning and I didn't have to call a shop and wait to be put through to speak to an estate agent. Due to a change of circumstances I had to change date of valuation and contacted Tony my estate agent to see if he could attend my home that same day. To my surprise Tony fitted me in for a valuation the same day! I was delighted with the service. It was unhurried, straight to the point and most importantly I didn't feel under pressure to choose them. The whole visit was finished within 45 mins which suited me as I had other things to do that day. More importantly Allen & Harris had the best rates compared to other estate agents. Since choosing Allen & Harris I have been in contact with my estate agent Tony nearly everyday asking questions and finalising my plans. Tony always returns my emails promptly and nothing is ever a hassle! I wasn't looking forward to having estate agents visit my house and listen to their marketing spiel but Tony was different and made choosing an estate agents easier than expected. I would highly recommend Tony at Allen & Harris, Stirling.

Quite different from my experience with other estate agents whom I have used in the past. 100% top class service

(2 reviews)21st Sep 2022 (1 year ago)Used them as our solicitors when buying a house. Would not recommend, the guy was on holiday a lot and took a while to get back to us. No real sense of urgency.i can live with that. They knew we were foreigner's and failed in their duty of care to inform us that you can claim certain things in Scotland when sold a place if they are not in working order. Yes I had to renovate the property but this could have potentially saved me a lot of money. At the very least they failed to disclose this information which was incompetence on their end. The only reason I knew about this was because when we sold the house the buyer tried to take the mick and claim stuff under this rule that fell outside of it and I had to research it. We had no mention of this from the firm which they really should have told us about considering we were paying them and all.

From the start, they were incredibly helpful and always gave honest advice. Their knowledge and professionalism were obvious, and they consistently provided valuable insights on the buying process in Scotland, which is slightly different from England. Our first thoughts were they are a good local estate agents after viewing a couple of properties with them. When we found our dream home, we were delighted it was being sold through them. What really stood out was their responsiveness. Nicola, Pam, and Morven always got back to us quickly, ensuring we never felt out of the loop. Even when one was unavailable, they all seemed to know exactly what was happening with the purchase. This level of communication was reassuring and made a huge difference throughout the process. Thanks to their efficiency, the entire purchase went smoothly. If your first impression is like ours, then you can expect that to continue throughout the process. We highly recommend Nicola, and the team at Cathedral City Estates to anyone looking to buy a property. Thanks for everything! Adam
14th Nov 2023 (8 mo. ago)Cutting corners on assessments and causing issues with incorrect EPC assessments. Managed to lower our EPC by a whole 15 points while only improvements had been made from prior. Thankfully due to getting an independent assesor out. This anomaly has been fixed. Be wary.
