What started out as viewing a house that Allen and Harris had advertised turned into the most amazing experience. It started with phoning to view a house which was advertised through this branch. Lori was absolutely amazing, taking time to answer questions and took her time showing us a property (which by the way wasn’t the one we bought, we didn’t even buy a house through Allen and Harris.) Lori asked varies of questions about what sort of house we were looking for and about mortgages, we ended up at the branch speaking with Greg, the most amazing mortgage advisor. He took his time to find out about what our lifestyles were life, what sort of house we were looking for, and what our budget was. The process was so straightforward and totally stress free (being told that buying a house is the most stressful thing someone can do except for divorce.) we started looking at houses within 11 weeks of looking at a property until moving into our forever home it was done and dusted. Greg was always on hand to answer questions, phoning us for updates and just generally asking how things were going in between his own holidays and moving house himself. If Greg wasn’t available it was Lori that was on hand, enthusiastic and keen to help and always made sure that the message was passed on. If anyone considers selling or buying a home through Allen and Harris look no further than this team.... Read more

We first got in touch with Allen and Harris to look at a house, which Lori arranged. From there, after a great viewing of a house with Lori who was amazing with us, going well above and beyond to arrange the viewing and chat with Greg in the office about mortgages and everything else we hadn't even considered we found ourselves completely relying on the team. In the end we didn't buy the house we saw with Lori, but Greg has become our go-to guy for everything to do with the buying a house and making sure all our insurances and wills are in place. Greg took lots of time to spend with us going through everything over a couple of different visits, sorting everything we needed. Any questions, worries, or concerns that came up through the process Greg was on hand straight away to help out, he called back extremely quickly any time we emailed in or left messages and gave exactly what we needed to hear. In between everything Greg had holidays booked and in his absence Lori was on hand to make sure someone dealt with everything, never with any complaint or question over our queries, all of which were us just wanting to be involved with everything going on and updates which we always got. I honestly cannot praise Greg and Lori enough, they put up with us going through everything, kept us up-to-date with every small detail, advised on the best options which were personalised to us and made the entire process as smooth as possible, including speaking and dealing with the solicitors to make sure everything was done in our very quick timelines Anyone looking at selling or buying a house, you will realise yourself you can trust the team and rely on them without any issues at all, getting you the best deals and keep everything calm and relaxed... I requested a visit for a valuation at Allen & Harris estate agents and had a date booked. I was allocated an estate agent from the start and he made contact with me by email to introduce himself. This gave me reassurance and comfort that I had a direct contact with an estate agent from the beginning and I didn't have to call a shop and wait to be put through to speak to an estate agent. Due to a change of circumstances I had to change date of valuation and contacted Tony my estate agent to see if he could attend my home that same day. To my surprise Tony fitted me in for a valuation the same day! I was delighted with the service. It was unhurried, straight to the point and most importantly I didn't feel under pressure to choose them. The whole visit was finished within 45 mins which suited me as I had other things to do that day. More importantly Allen & Harris had the best rates compared to other estate agents. Since choosing Allen & Harris I have been in contact with my estate agent Tony nearly everyday asking questions and finalising my plans. Tony always returns my emails promptly and nothing is ever a hassle! I wasn't looking forward to having estate agents visit my house and listen to their marketing spiel but Tony was different and made choosing an estate agents easier than expected. I cannot recommend Alana Docherty at the Stirling branch of Allen & Harris highly enough for mortgage advice. I had originally been planning to use a well known 'free' broker, however I'm so glad to have found this service instead. Alana is extremely knowledgeable, super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. She was a brilliant support throughout a couple of unsuccessful offers until we eventually found the perfect home. This was of non-traditional construction, so not straightforward, but as always Alana made it extremely simple and took a lot of the stress out of it. She found me the best deal, sorted out insurance and life cover too. We were buying as first time buyers, we had no idea what we were meant to be doing and when. Our sale wasn't the easiest due to many complications from the developers, but Carly and the team really went above and beyond for us. This is my daughters first property and I'm so glad we happened to walk into Allen & Harris one Saturday. Tony was there he advised us to speak to James the mortgage advisor which we we did, and it's been plain sailing from there, found a property and James has made the whole transaction very smooth, even his recommendation on which solicitors to use.
