If I could give 0 stars I would. Their communication was poor, despite claiming to be available until 10pm. Our viewing was booked for 5pm. We turned up at 4.59pm and were told to go and wait in the car, because there were still people viewing. When the previous viewers had left we entered the house. Tony rushed us through the house in about 10 seconds explaining ”hallway, kitchen, outdoor tap, outdoor electric.” He sat down on his phone for the remainder of the viewing. He took 2 phone calls during our 5-10 minute viewing. Tony made me feel uncomfortable. He told us that Hamish Homes are the only letting agents that do not use fisheye lenses to take pictures, which is a lie. When I asked if we could leave the property by the rear entrance to see the rest of the property, Tony stared at me and said “that’s a really weird question”. The properly was offers over £210k so we put in a very good offer of £218k (which it wasn’t worth to be honest), and the house had been on the market for months. Our solicitor was then told in writing that no offer below £225k would be considered. If we’d had this info previously, we would have never made an offer through a solicitor, that we now have to pay. Massive waste of our time and money. The only way we found out that the property had actually sold, was through Facebook. Tony comes across as a guy who is fed up with his job and will squeeze every penny out of buyers regardless of value. Basically a big waste of money and time, and I believe the property was misleadingly advertised for their benefit. We have since purchased a different property through a different estate agent.
