20th Oct 2025 (27 days ago)A first class service from beginning to end. MOV8 seamlessly navigated me through sales and purchases and not only did they see to all the legal side of things they also provided understanding and reassurance when required too.
22nd Oct 2025 (25 days ago)Very disappointed with my selling experience with McEwan Fraser. I paid for the upgraded service and definitely did not feel this was value for money. I think all estate agents aren't very good, but I couldn't with a clean conscious suggest McEwan Fraser to anyone. It would often take at least 24hrs for someone to get back in touch with me (sometimes almost a week) and if I called after 6 then the only option was for them to ask someone to call me back the next day. This is one of the key selling points of their upgraded package and it was a total waste of money.

From communication through the entire process, arranging the home report and photographs, and the negotiations with our buyer I cannot recommend them enough. My property was on the market for 7 days before we exceeded the expected offer. Highly recommend, Rob & Karen brilliant.

31st Oct 2025 (16 days ago)Wow! We’ve met Colin on a couple of occasions while looking for our next home, and there are not enough great words to describe the experience.. His enthusiasm, knowledge and customer care is above and beyond and he’s now secured our new home for us!! We’ve bought and sold many houses over the years in England, Wales and Scotland and If we were ever selling a property in the future he’d be the only one we would contact to help. Thanks Colin, you are amazing at amazing results
5th Aug 2025 (15 weeks ago)I can’t praise Angela, Isla and Leigh enough! Their communication was great, always on hand to advise and reassure as well as extremely quick to return calls! They went out of their way to help and nothing was too much trouble for them. Angela has a down to earth way about her that makes everything run smoothly and her friendly manner makes the whole house selling/buying process as stress free as possible. Would definitely recommend.

21st Nov 2024 (11 mo. ago)We had quite a few estate agents out to the house for a valuation but from the minute Scott entered our house and we began to discuss the house and valuation we felt he was honest, approachable and most of all being the sellers of our much loved house he listened. At no time did we feel pressure or an obligation to secure him as our agent. May I also add that when contacting the Glenrothes branch and speaking to the rest of the team they also were very approachable and no amount of questions were to much. I cannot rate Slater, Hogg and Howison highly enough.

10th Oct 2025 (5 weeks ago)If I could give more stars, I would. Grant at the Cupar office has been wonderful helping us buy our first house. He covered all bases, was very kind and patient with us when we asked a million questions, and was so quick that we had moved within the month! The whole thing was super easy for us and very afforable. We're grateful for all his help, and will recommend Thorntons to everyone as a reliable and trustworthy firm, especially for first time buyers.

20th Dec 2023 (1 year ago)Absolutely pathetic service. We we lied to from the onset. Rod wouldn't get back for up to a month at a time. Carried out useless work for over inflated prices without permission. Incidentally nothing materialaliaed with anything that he said he had done. Sorry excuse of an Estate Agent and I would keep away real nightmare of a man. He would phone up every 3 to 4 months and say how much did you pay for your property originally and did this for years.

18th Jan 2024 (1 year ago)Office staff were not impressive and office hours seemed to vary a lot . Not impressed . Didn’t feel they proactively pushed our property even though the property we were buying was also marketed by them . ( double fees)

13th Aug 2025 (14 weeks ago)5 stars is an understatement! I have recently sold my flat through Venters and haven't had a single issue with them. Kirsty, Gavin and Lee have all been amazing at communicating with us and I have thoroughly enjoyed our selling process (There aren't many folke that could say that). The Teams knowledge of properties across Fife has been second to none and the support they have offered has been invaluable. I without a doubt would use their services again as I have been truly impressed!

Gave them a quick call and they laid out loads of solid investment options with proper returns, not the usual fluff you get from other places. They know their market inside out and make it really easy to compare deals. If you’re into building long-term income, these guys are definitely worth speaking to.

Houses have sold relatively quickly and keep me informed throughout the process. Nothing less than a positive experience dealing with them both and would highly recommend.
