We were really impressed by the efficiency and professionalism of all staff but in particular Hayley and Keira who we liaised with on a regular basis. Thanks for all the help in getting us our family home!

They were patient with me asking lots of questions over the course of the sale, and responded to enquiries/worked through their steps within a reasonable amount of time. I especially appreciated the people who were in the office when I went in to collect my keys, as they were really friendly and shared my excitement for my new home! They must see a fair few people come in for keys so it felt really nice that they were still able to smile and celebrate with me!

Open and helpful about showing my friends and family the property I was buying, when I was in New York and couldn't be there. I've done FaceTime with Wendy so much that I feel like she's part of the family! Now I am in my beautiful new home! Highly recommend!

4th Jun 2025 (12 days ago)I am absolutely disgusted with Bettermove!! They offered to buy my house for a fixed price, having deducted 20%! Which is what I told them I wanted a 'quick' sale. They offered of 2 options. Or, they said they could market it for a month AND actually LIED and stated they HAD investors INTERESTED in MY property!! Within a week I realised they had NO investors!! So, when the 'month' was up I asked if they would buy the house for the price they had stated instead. They said they would take a FURTHER 20% off AGAIN!!! Had they told me this would happen in the first place I would've just sold it to them!!! AND, in the process, they have DEVALUED the market value of my house!!! I think its absolutely disgusting that they seem to act without any conscience. They lie and are not up front with what the options really are. They have set my house selling back by possibly years now!! If there were an Ombundsman or official way to report them I would do so!

21st Mar 2025 (12 weeks ago)Best estate agents in Cumbria. When selling our house we initially overlooked Lakes Estates and went for an established regional agent. That was a mistake. That established agent rested on their laurels and ultimately proved totally ineffective. However, despite initially rejecting Lakes Estates, when approached a second time Glenn happily took over and marketed our property at an increased selling price, achieving a sale very quickly. He knows the market and what buyers want. His approach is personal, professional and ultimately highly effective. He is open and honest - refreshing qualities for an estate agent. Office Manager Hannah is diligent, polite and also extremely efficient in her role. Nothing is too much trouble for her. We encountered some minor issues during the sales process that Hannah easily took in her stride. If you are in Cumbria, these are the agents you should use.
