From my initial contact, they have relentlessly kept great communication in what is a difficult market, to find our "forever house". Tom and Edward's experience is second to none. Just a quick review to say that the service we received from Savills and Tom Smith in particular has been superb. Although we did not purchase our property through Savills, we were so impressed with email correspondence and contact from Tom about properties which were yet to appear on the market. I think our reviewing Savills without buying a property from them is testament to their quality of service.

Spoke to Tom in the office who arranged very quickly for us to view a house they had just put on the market. Our house had sold & we were very specific with what we needed (basically 2 houses in 1) & we needed to move fast with the market being so buoyant. We viewed on the Saturday & decided there & then to put an offer in so I emailed Tom knowing full well the office was closed but hoping Monday morning our offer would go in & be accepted. Tom phoned us as soon as he was in the office & our offer was accepted that day. Great service, we had a few teething issues with moving dates etc & spoke to Ed a few times who also was very friendly & positive to us. 5* team & a very Happy family.

Nothing was too much trouble for her and her professionalism, persistence and sheer hard work was very impressive. There were some initial communication difficulties (due mainly to the Head Office’s policy during the early stages of Covid) but these were overcome.

Fabulous , professional service every time we viewed. Jennifer at "River House" York office is wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. Claire , who accompanied us on a viewing was equally helpful. Both girls give liberally of their time & that was a rare quality which we did NOT encounter a great deal with other estate agents! I would have no hesitation in recommending Savills . Fantastic, friendly service. From the first viewing when we initially met Ben, we knew the whole process of the sale of our second home was in safe hands with Savills. Jennifer Kendrew was our daily point of contact with Savills York and we consider ourselves very lucky to have worked with her throughout this process. We received invaluable advice prior to putting the house on the market and throughout the sales process. Their photography company, who completed the images for both the sales brochure and internet images, were highly professional and worked wonders. There were a few hundred miles between our residence and the house we were selling, leading to its own challenges, but Jennifer could not have been more helpful and motivational. From the one and only open day, which Jennifer attended, several offers were received, culminating in the final sale. No mean feat in the current uncertain and challenging economic climate. Regardless of the issues to be discussed, Jennifer handled all communication with ourselves in a pro-active way as well as tricky negotiations with 3rd parties. Should a problem or delay arise, Jennifer always found a way to solve it with excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude. We would not hesitate to recommend Jennifer and the Savills York team for anyone considering selling their house in the area.

We had initially commenced marketing our property through a well established local agents, after 12 months we had very little to show for it, and a similar result using a well known "On Line" agent. Following advise from another agent we moved to Savills. What a difference right from the start they really did their utmost to actually try and find potential buyers. rather than just using their web site and office window. Ben Pridden gave us some very sensible advise about the market, our actual geographical position, and what we could realistically expect in our situation. Jennifer Kendrew worked diligently in exposing our property to the market, appearing regularly in many publications from national papers to niche magazines. Having eventually found a prospective purchaser she lead them through the financial details resulting in a 'done deal'. Their dedication and perseverance were outstanding.

Savills at York have been consistently excellent.
Jennifer Kendrew and Ben Pridden in particular always provided me with realistic and practical advice from start to finish and worked professionally and tirelessly to achieve a sale.
Other parties in our chain caused a great many difficulties but the experienced staff at Savills solved them all and where she was able to Jennifer led the chain and drove the pace of the sale when others seemed reluctant to take the initiative.

I can't rate Savills of York high enough after the recent sale of my home. From beginning to end they were exemplary. It is a rare experience in today's world to find any organisation that can perform consistently to such a standard. From the initial telephone call, to completion, everyone at Savills demonstrated the highest professional standards. Telephone calls were always returned quickly and action was always taken when requested. This applied at every level of the York office. My property was sold to the first person Savills arranged to view, without going fully on to the market. But they had many more prospective purchasers lined up in the wings. But this swift sale did not distort my view. I have bought and sold many properties over the years and understand why some agents have the reputation they do. If everyone performed to the Savills level that would not be the case.
