30th Aug 2022 (1 year ago)Recently purchased a property at auction with Hammer Price Homes. I was a little sceptical first about buying a property via an online auction but was really surprised and happy about how easy it was. I liked the transparency of the auction and felt that it tested what the actual market value of the property was rather than the usual process of placing offers through an estate agent. The additional benefit was that we had time to arrange a mortgage. We had 3 months following the auction to complete and Michael at Hammer Price was great to guide us through the process and answer any questions. We completed 2 weeks ago and have began renovations on our new house last week!

16th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)submitted a tenancy application for a home in Barrow. The application asked whether I'd been subject to a Section 21 order. I thought it was an irrelevant question as it had no bearing on ones likelihood to be a good or a bad tenant; however, I answered the question honestly by stating 'no' because I'd only received a Section 21 notice. Only a court can issue an order. Poole Townsend then accused me of lying on the application and it was rejected. In the end, I should be thankful to Poole Townsend because my experience with them caused me to realise that a miserable, economically deprived, unfriendly and uneducated community wasn't the right place for me and that my talents would be better appreciated elsewhere. With estate agents like this it is no wonder Barrow has such a poor reputation.

23rd May 2022 (1 year ago)House was priced too high to start with so had to lower the asking price within 2 weeks and in the 5 weeks we had the house on the market with them we had no interest what so ever whereas other properties on our street were sold within 3 weeks when they were listed with a different estate agent.
24th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)Good service and friendly, reliable staff We are glad we chose JH Homes to take care of selling my parents' house From the initial appraisal by Martin and throughout the entire viewing process, we encountered helpful and supportive staff, who kept us updated on a regular basis. In fact, all the staff at JH Homes were friendly, helpful and professional in the service they offered. They were quick to reply to any questions and always kept us updated via email or on the phone. When the property was finally sold they recommended an excellent house clearance company which was also a huge help. All in all we can recommend JH Homes for individual and reliable service when it comes to selling a property.

(20 reviews)1st Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)Hands down the most horrendous experience... the old chap couldn't even be bothered to get out of his car to show us around the property, so unacceptable. When we asked him to drag himself out of his car and open the back door of the property, it was met with no enthusiasm at all. He couldn't answer any of my questions about the property either. I remember when Ross' was such a brilliant estate agents, the ladies in the office were always so professional and happy to help, seems like customer experience isn't at the heart of their practise anymore. Following an unreturned phone call from the agency, regarding an offer. After an hour of waiting i called back, the snotty agent who I spoke to was rude, standoffish and condescending, she told me that she couldn't help as the person who was handling the sale wasn't in and I'd have to wait until tomorrow! I wanted to make an offer on a property...Really?? Wow!! Stay away....

Annie was fantastic and replied to every email with a worthwhile response within minutes of receiving it. 6th Sep 2022 (1 year ago)Habitats - now called Agreed. Really impressed with the concept and overall with the site and process. Very quick to get my property online, booked a floorplan and it was carried out very promptly, house was uploaded to Rightmove and Zoopla in now time and it sold in days (although that's down to market conditions too). Overall really happy although the actual site can be a tad glitchy and perhaps from a buyers point of view a bit more guidance is needed...my FTB struggled a bit. Help function generally very responsive though. Sale hasn't yet completed as we are only a week in but if all continues as it started they will deserve 5 stars and I've saved over £1k in agent fees.
