Friendly and helpful staff. When there're some problems in the house, Mighty house is very efficient at solving them. The staff also gave me some very useful suggestions. So lucky that I chose Mighty house.

FOR CLARITY THIS REVIEW IS FOR MIGHTY STUDENT LIVING NOT MIGHTY HOUSE
Just a warning to Lancaster students, if you rent with Mighty Student Living this is what you can expect...
We paid £50 to change our move in date a week back. When my first house mate arrived with all her stuff she was told the house wasn’t ready. After waiting for 2 hours outside the property the cleaners eventually came and she saw the state of the house (the pictures of the rubbish outside - all of that was inside the living room to start off with). The cleaners came and did a really awful job so had to come back a second time. The pictures below were taken after the cleaners had been TWICE so we had to get a different set of cleaners in for a third time but this was over a week after we moved in. As well as this there were numerous other issues with the house that actually violated the housing act:
We couldn’t cook as the microwave was broken and every time we turned the hob on it tripped the electric in the whole house
We could only use one shower as the seals were broken on the rest (we were paying extra for en-suite)
We only got given 2 keys between 6 and after 5 days got fed up and decided to get our own keys cut (they didn’t tell us where the other four were which was worrying)
There was also a hole in the basement where anything could have got in.
The above all violate the housing act.
As well as this the walls were disgusting, there was rubbish in the house that wasn’t ours and I found a dirty bra in my draw.
The Hoover was broken when we arrived too! We had no mop or dustpan and brush so we were pretty unable to clean the floors!!! There were loose kitties tiles near the front door which somebody could have hurt themselves on! One of the drains didn’t drain properly all year! And when we asked if somebody could come and sort it they said we would have to pay because it’s the tenants responsibility for clogging it but it was like that the whole time!!! The boiler kept going off because it was obviously not working properly and they told us how to turn it back on instead of losing pressure when they could have sent somebody to fix it/replace it!!!
All we asked for was our admin fee and first weeks rent back. MH have said they will give us back the admin fee but are refusing to pay the first weeks rent back.
On top of this they tried to charge me for a mattress clean (£18) and wall repaint (3 walls = £90) out of my deposit which is just awful considering that needed doing before we even moved in. They cleaned my mattress but it was weeks after we had moved in.
Also during lockdown whilst my housemate was staying at the property they emailed to say they were coming to do a survey on the house and would be in full PPE, they came in and didn’t wear masks or gloves putting my housemate at risk.
You may say it’s just a bad landlord but our landlord was in fact the DIRECTOR OF MIGHTY HOUSE.
We don’t want other students to have to put up with what we have put up with, you can get far better for £120 per week.
Just an FYI they took £32,500 for the year in rent from us ????
