2nd Mar 2019 (5 years ago)We are student at Durham University and we decided to rent a house. I called the estate agent and they agreed to send us the agreement and everything to rent this one house that we really liked. We were supposed to arrive a week later to submit the forms and pay deposit. When I got the papers, they confirmed with us that the house would be definitely be reserved for us. However, the morning we were supposed to hand in the papers, I got a short, badly articulated email saying that the property was no longer available and that we should look somewhere else. No explanation, nothing. We were angry because student accommodation is competitive and we lost so much time waiting for this house. Upon emailing them multiple times, they finally said that the previous tenants decided to stay for another year. Didn’t they confirm with the current tenants that they would be moving out? Why would they even list the house if that was an option? .Why send us the agreements and everything? They didn’t even bother trying to find us other options that we could stay at instead. All and all, I would never use this agent again because their service is absolutely terrible

11th Jul 2019 (4 years ago)I never write reviews but I feel so strongly about this company. They treat tenants like second class citizens. We reported problem after problem but they just got ignored and didn’t get fixed. However when we moved out we completed checklist in order for our bond to be returned. Renown gave excuse after excuse for the bond not to be returned. We were being lied to over and over again. Absolute disgrace.

8th Sep 2022 (1 year ago)Goodfellow’s helped sell our flat in HEATON within two days of it going on the market and for well above the asking price. Although the sale is, of course, subject to contract, they made it an easy and straightforward process.
