11th Jul 2026 (16 weeks ago)We selected Reeds Rains- Gosforth as our agent because they seemed to be the most knowledgeable about the market for our property. They recommended an asking price that was higher than our expectation, and were prompt in finding a buyer within a short time scale. Their fee for their services was both reasonable and the most competitive. We were impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff and their promptness in answering all our queries. We highly recommend Reeds Rains to any prospective seller.
8th Feb 2026 (8 mo. ago)If I could give this agency a zero stars, I would. I have rented a property through them for four years and they don't do repairs, they gaslight you into thinking you're the problem, they've left me living in a mouldy hovel, myself and my partner have sunk over £3000 on the garden and tried to keep the property as liveable as possible. Mckale used to use RS Services as their repair contractor and they were awful cowboys that left trunking wonky and exposed hot water pipes, an electric fire that was chocolate blocked with no cut off; the two repairs they have done (after me badgering them through emails to the landlord) seem to have constituted two rent increases after each repair - firstly the electrics being updated and the second being the fallen bath (the timber beneath was rotted and basically sponge) this repair they told me they would just re-seat the bath (it was cracked and the plug was as much use as a chocolate teapot) and re-grout tiles, which were falling off due to water getting into the wall behind and causing damp. Lastly, the mould... this is being caused by the roof lining/roof in general being in need of repair and water getting into the front wall of the home causing mould, the front door is shot as is the windowsill in the lounge (a horrid draft comes from beneath this), and Mckale have come out and taken photos in order to "get this sorted" but recently they have told me there is "no mould issue and it is a ventilation problem" - we have the windows open regularly, use a condenser dryer and fans on when cooking/showering, so the above quote is gaslighting. Now, they wish to increase the rent citing "similar properties having higher rent amounts in the area", the only properties in the area that are similar, are on the same street and I know all of my neighbours, they don't pay anywhere near what I am paying, and they've had brand new kitchens (mine is still the one that was installed in 1995 when the property was built), new electrics and other upgrades (some have solar panels now!) (Also, check their accounts on Companies House... something fishy this way comes...) DO NOT RENT THROUGH THESE SWINDLERS!

This time it was my son’s house, and once again the whole team went above and beyond from start to finish.<br><br>Sam and Leanne have been absolutely brilliant, always friendly, professional and willing to go that extra mile. The whole team work so well together and genuinely care about their clients.<br><br>I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Northwood to anyone looking to sell their home. 18th May 2023 (3 years ago)Huge thank you to Jeanette snd Mary who helped with the purchase of our new home. It was quite stressful for us at times and we had a few (a lot!) bumps in the road. We were very dependent on the team especially towards the end of the buying process for many reasons. I truly believe without their help on an almost daily basis we would still be waiting for the sale to have been finalised. We are now 4 weeks in our new home and are so happy. The stress long forgotten. The team are Very professional, very “on it” and also want to do the best for the buyer. Thank you all.

28th Sep 2026 (5 weeks ago)They listed my4 bed detached dormer bungalow as a 4 bed detached HOME!!! SO I didn’t get any viewings for 10 week as google does not recognise home on any search engine it Could be found under properties but buyers only looking for bungalows could not find us!! I found out by distant friend trying to find bungalows online. They relaunched but missed summer buyers. Tied into 20week contract and cost me £354 to cancel -nightmare scenario for me.

7th Aug 2021 (5 years ago)Excellent experience overall. Bailey & Co were involved in both the selling and purchase sides of my chain. They managed to negotiate a great selling price on my flat in a very challenging market and always let me know straight away when appropriate properties for me came up buy. Which led to us finding our ideal house. Their sales progression team also did a great job of keeping me up to date on status of the chain and communicating with all parties quickly and efficiently when issues arose. I would definitely use them again. Thanks again to all the team at Bailey & Co for your hard work.

29th May 2026 (22 weeks ago)Rook Matthews Sayer (Jesmond) have managed my property for the last 17 years, including around 15 years as a rental property and the last 2 years while it was on the market for sale. Throughout the rental period they were generally reliable and easy to deal with. Whenever maintenance issues arose, they would contact me promptly and arrange local contractors to carry out the work at reasonable cost. Over a long period of ownership, there were no major problems and I felt the property was looked after well. During the sales process there were a few challenges, including a complicated issue involving a neighbouring property which resulted in the power being disconnected to the building. Although this took some time to resolve, RMS were able to provide the information I needed and the sale was ultimately completed successfully. Communication was mainly via email rather than phone calls, but I found the team responsive and helpful whenever I needed assistance. Managing a property from a distance can be difficult, so I appreciated having an agent who could deal with issues on my behalf over many years. Overall, I would like to thank the team at RMS Jesmond for their support over the last 17 years and wish them all the best for the future.
22nd Oct 2026 (11 days ago)Your staff Mr. O R failed to do what promised me on Sept 21, 23 so I sent a reminder email on Oct 4, 23 and you told me that on Oct 5, 23 you cannot recognize the very google account I sent gmail to info@bowsonproperty.co.uk<br><br>Very good.<br><br>IF you rent a house from this agent, remember to have no trust on the staff to do what they promised and keep sending email to everyone until it was done.

20th Oct 2026 (13 days ago)Terrible experience trying to buy a property through Hive Estates. We were set on buying a Sandyford flat and ready to offer significantly above asking price, but there was a serious rising damp problem in the hallway, which they initially tried to hide when we viewed the property. It had been superficially patched so we asked for details on the diagnosis of the problem and any work that had been done. The estate agent who showed us round had zero information on the property, for the issue or more broadly. The wider team refused to share any further information, saying the owner of the flat had "no idea" what the issue was diagnosed as and what the work, and that there was no documentation because a "property manager had fixed the issue" not the owner.<br><br>They also lied initially. They said that the issue had only been fixed three weeks ago, hence the smell of damp throughout the property, but when we spoke to someone on the phone they said it was fixed 10 months prior.<br><br>We actually made clear that the damp wasn't a dealbreaker, and that we just needed to go round with a surveyor or even just a damp metre - they blocked us and wouldn't allow it.<br><br>Everyone we dealt with seemed fresh out of school and were winging it. I struggled to get in contact even when putting an offer in and had to ring multiple times a day.- 23rd Oct 2026 (10 days ago)Clare was a great help throughout the process.<br><br>Would definitely recommend

We’d had a previously good experience with Conway & Christie with a house that sold the day it went to market. This was a more difficult and complicated sale. We were happy with their tenacity and great communications with our buyer. I’d definitely use them again. Thanks guys. ????????????

23rd Oct 2026 (10 days ago)Awfully managed estate agent, will ignore you when you tell them multiple times that you are renewing your tenancy and will continue to organize viewings in which people would use a key to come in without knocking. Upon signing our tenancy renewal, two months after we had asked them multiple times to do so, Chloe took so long to sign her part, the document expired and we had to do it again!<br><br>They have been a bit better this year, actually sending emails when someone needs access to the property, however, we were given less than 24h notice that a photographer would be coming to take pictures of our flat. This photographer let himself in without knocking 20 minutes early without saying a word to either of us.<br><br>Brunton really lacks respect for the tenants it’s renting to, our landlord is also using Greetham Gilbert to market the house; Greetham Gilbert have been nothing but friendly and respectful of our privacy, waiting 5 minutes if we are not ready, emails of viewings sent a week in advance. If you want an estate agent to manage your student property do not choose Brunton Residential, it is ran awfully!
