21st Feb 2019 (5 years ago)At first Rolfe East seemed like the perfect agents to let my property: welcoming, paid attention to detail and took the time to go through the renting process with me as I was a first- time land lady. However as soon as they secured my business things went downhill. Rolfe East would not answer my calls regarding rather important issues such as incorrect amounts deducted from my monthly statements, I was dealing with a different person every time I did manage to get through (often after multiple redirections and phone calls- on average I probably spent 1-2 hours on the phone to them per week. This made the renting process extremely stressful for me... not to mention the fact that I am paying £150 per month management fee to Rolfe East for what appears to be no work on their part.) My last resort to try and communicate with the agents was to write a strongly worded email to the 12 people from the company that I had been dealing with at various points, including the directors: Simon East, Ashley Rolfe, Andy Wakefield and yer not one person replied to me. I followed this up with yet another email when I received another incorrect monthly invoice and yet again not even the directors bothered to contact me. This company boasts customer service awards- frankly that is laughable. DO NOT USE ROLFE EAST unless you want to waste your money and time and gain a whole lot of stress. I made a huge mistake in using them.

We were sold promises of multiple offers, told to decrease our price as a way to get our original asking price via multiple offers which we were hesitant to do but we did anyway, trusting them like they said. Viewings were rushed, agents arrived late. We did everything advised but they couldn't deliver despite so much of the viewing feedback being so positive about the house. We had to chase to get detailed feedback, chase to confirm viewings, communication was poor, email inboxes were always full so emails sent weren't going through. We had numerous viewings and interest in the house which is in fantastic condition but they somehow couldn't close on it. We have since gone with another agent and wouldn't recommend Tuffin and Wren. The experience was highly stressful overall.
3rd Jul 2021 (3 years ago)Word of warning to those considering renting through GoView -- don't do it! We have just ended a year-long litigation process with this estate agency following the end of our tenancy. For many years we rented through GoView. When we didn't have to deal with their property management team, we were quite content. However, things went sour when a property we rented was managed by the GoView and not the landlord directly. The team was unresponsive, belligerent, and dishonest. We experienced numerous issues throughout our tenancy, from mice in the flat to no heating for a month (during winter) to broken white goods that went unrepaired. Not to mention the lack of respect for our privacy and quiet enjoyment of our home, verbal attacks, and unchecked aggression. Fortunately, we knew our rights (and the law) and refused to give in to their bullying tactics. Overall, a terrible experience that could have been avoided if GoView employed an ounce of professionalism and morality.

They stood apart from every other agent from the outset and I’ve never looked back having engaged them. Definitely recommend them.

They were extremely professional, kept us in the loop at all times, I didn’t have to call them to chase them for anything. The team were all so friendly and polite and we built up a good working relationship with Chris himself, who was always able to answer anything when required. Will miss our conversations. The sale went through smoothly, which is just want you want when this is a very stressful time. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Last year had to sell a family property and went with a different agents which was a terrible experience, this was a breath of fresh air, so wish we’d used Chis and his company for that sale. 10/10. Thank you to Chris and his team.

Very untrustworthy - hiding key information from you and losing all sense of morals just to get a sale through.
