27th Oct 2021 (3 years ago)Shut two afternoons in a row with no notice, no info on website, just a handwritten sign in the door. Can't collect Amazon parcels, make PayPoint payments etc as a result. At least keep customers informed online and also inform Amazon so customers don't keep on trying to get items delivered there when the delivery driver can't gain access.
7th Mar 2024 (8 mo. ago)One month after moving, giving myself time to reflect and consider before writing this review: Dennis, Julie and the team proved to be absolutely amazing throughout the whole process of selling our Crowthorne home, pretty much managing the entire transaction, liasing frequently and closely with ourselves, our solicitors, our sellers estate agents and our buyers estate agents with warmth, compassion, assertive patience, diligence and professionalism. I can think of no criticism, constructive or otherwise, to offer (or cast) and I believe our buyers have experienced the same. Nor am I aware of anyone that I've discussed our move with that has had an experience that has come close. I have, I am and I shall continue to recommend them wholeheartedly.

1st Sep 2024 (14 weeks ago)Health ruined by mould; upped rent £150 at the annual review and when I haggled this down, I was issued a Section 21 no-fault eviction 3 months later. They're genuinely borderline predatory. It took 6 months to fix the flat windows which all had broken handles and did not seal, meaning in winter it was impossible to keep the flat warm. Black mould was present on the check-in report on move-in, and alongside that all the fixtures and fittings were marked as needing repair. I was put through a back and forth for 6 months to have the windows fixed, where they had 5 contractors come out to look at the issue and give a quote. Seemingly they were looking for the cheapest labour going. That was over winter, meaning I was sleeping in a drafty and moudly flat for that time. Once the windows were fitted, they just put sealant over the mould which doesn't solve the issues. Through out the eviction process they purposefully mislead and harassed me to apply pressure for me to leave. Directly contradicting advice given by the local council and citizen's advice. As an ambulatory disabled person, it's unfeasible to pack up and move your life within 3 months. During this period, there were minimum 3 visits to the flat without my prior approval, with less than 24hours notice. Sometimes they would notify me at the end of a working day, so it'd be impossible to get my consent. All for surveyors to appraise the property which has been on the market for over 2 years with no traction. Twice someone opened the door and walked into the flat whilst I was mid-work meeting. Which is just completely dehumanising and disrespectful.

29th Nov 2024 (6 days ago)Without doubt the smoothest house sale I have ever experienced. I was looking for an agent who would be really proactive in the whole marketing process, be someone I could really get on with and trust, and actively manage the sale to the point of contract exchange - David shone in all these areas: his communication and transparency about pricing, strategy and identifying the right buyer was amazing, and he clearly knew his geographical location and business inside out. We had three offers in no time, and exchanged contracts in 13 weeks, and at every stage I learned more about what was going on from Jigsaw than our solicitors. David gave me confidence at all times that this was a project which could only have a positive outcome, even though I was based some distance away and was relying on him to manage it. This is not your average Estate Agent - you should forget everything you think you know about the profession and talk to Jigsaw if you want your property sold without being the agony it once was.
4th Oct 2024 (9 weeks ago)If you want an estate agent who does not respond to emails or phone calls, Chancellors are your guys. Would also be very wary of paying money for repairs as they are happy to take the money, less inclined to do the work. Avoid like the plague
14th Oct 2024 (7 weeks ago)We are having a nightmare with this company. We have now rented a property with them for a year. We turned up to the viewing, sat there for 10 minutes and no one showed. We called the office to be told they forgot to book it in and it would need to be rebooked, we had driven 4 hours to view this property as we were relocating so told them they had to send someone out. We were then rushed through the viewing. We ended up going ahead with the property and had no problems with this part of the process. However, anything that requires any form of management from Martin&Co is horrendous. They have 2 months to complete a gas safety check but left it to the last week they could legally have it done and then Oliver had a go at US for not being able to take a day off work to let them in. We got told it wasn't possible for them to give us a timed slot so we called British Gas ourselves and got told it was possible they just had to request it, M&Co wouldn't, so we did and I was able to work it around my job (but had to organise everything myself). We then got contacted about our yearly inspection, we called and booked it in for my day off, they never showed up. We called to find out that once again, they didn't book it in. We live in Wokingham but half of our communication comes from the Staines branch. We then got emailed 3 days before rent due to say they were changing the account we needed to pay, we went on to set it up and the bank stated it looked like a scam payment based on the account, we contacted the landlord as it was a Sunday and he said he hadn't authorised any bank change, so it did look like a scam! However, after contacting a very rude woman at M&Co they stated THEY were changing the bank account and we have no right to talk to our own landlord and to pay them immediately and we were lying about the warning from the bank (proof attached). We are on a fully managed contract and have had to organise everything ourselves so far, which is ludicrous. We are fed up with communication from this company and would never rent with them again.
24th Aug 2024 (15 weeks ago)Honestly cannot recommend Nick & Teresa enough!! Highly professional and yet like having friends sell your house for you! They were encouraging, straightforward (even when the actual process is not!!), reliable, and generally went above and beyond. There were difficulties in the chain but they both managed to help reduce the stress, working closely with all parties to keep us up to date. We absolutely would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone selling their home and although we’re not moving again anytime soon, we would use anyone else!

He has always on hand to answer our questions and calls. We would 100% recommend him to anyone looking at buying or selling. You can't get better than Alistair's dedication to the housing market.

Although the process took longer than expected due to issues further up the chain (through no fault of our own), Karl was genuine, honest, and kept us informed every step of the way. He was thorough, and whether it was a call back or an email, he always got back to us very quickly. Despite the challenges, Karl did everything he could to keep things moving. It's clear why the agency has such a great reputation in the area. Highly recommended.

5th Jul 2024 (22 weeks ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
