Wonderful service from this office of Hamptons. A professional, efficient and experienced light touch. We work in the property development sector and this is just what we need. No unnecessary calls - they understand the brief and just get on with it. Have used several agency firms over the years. Too many of them employ youngsters who know little, overestimate the pricing to win the deal, and then disappear after six months. Not this firm. Very refreshing.
Ross Bounds from Hampton's in Dorking was recommended to us by friends who had previously been looking for a property in or around the Dorking area. When it came time for us to sell our house this year (a wing of a large Victorian mansion) Ross was the ideal agent as he understood the particular and peculiar requirements of marketing this type of property. The house went on the market at the beginning of March and within two weeks we had accepted an offer. We were very happy with the service we received.
Me and my partner have dealt with two estate agents in the last 12 months but Cubitt and West have simply been the best. Rebecca dealt with our application the most and she was so kind and reassured me constantly. Her calls and emails made me feel much more positive as a first time buyer and made my dream off owning a home a reality. From day 1 till the 23rd of May when we got our keys Rebecca was there the whole way. Despite other reviews, I would happily go back to this estate agents any day of the year for mortgage and property advice. The people there have reassured me there really are kind and lovely people in the world.
Handled our bid for a property appallingly. Viewings were rigidly restricted to an open day and a week before a 'viewer' stumbled onto the property and bid the asking price !. When we bid over the asking price we were told the original bidder had upped their bid to ours and we lost as we had a smaller mortgage deposit ( ????!!!!) , Even though they had the wrong figures for our deposit on their records. Worst of all refused to take our improved offer to the vendor. Stank to high heaven.
Unethical, incompetent or worse........ AVOID, AVOID, AVOID !
Thoroughly professional, friendly and pleasant to deal with. No hard sell when we were looking at properties, and when we found 'the one' they were consistently on the case, and full of helpful advice to drive the purchase through. We often found ourselves asking their advice over our sale rather than the agent we had engaged as they were far more on the ball! If, heaven forbid, we were ever to sell again, we wouldn't hesitate to use Jackson Stops in Dorking, and would happily recommend them to others.
Despite being the buyers in the chain we were very pleased with the support of Darrell Hughes and Alan King in what proved to be a complicated and at times challenging process (for reasons outside of their control). I would recommend Jackson-Stops.
I cannot rate Seymours Dorking highly enough. From valuation to completion, the whole team worked really hard to sell my house. They kept me informed as to what was happening at all times, ringing me after office hours sometimes to update me. I really felt they actively 'sold' my house, rather than just putting it on Rightmove. The whole team are so friendly and helpful and a delight to work with. Totally recommend them.
Can't speak highly enough of Seymours especially David who I was on the phone to sometimes 6 times a day! I was helping my Dad of 82 move which has been quite stressful but David has been so kind and helpful, I don't think I could have got through it without him!! Many thanks
