Nice and easy, for a first time selling a home it was as easy as I could have hoped for. Not only did we sell it quickly but we were really pleased with the price and got over the asking. (They also valued it more than other agents) Highly Recommended!

4th Mar 2025 (1 year ago)I had a terrible experience with this estate agent. From the start, they were misleading and untrustworthy. They expected me to secure a mortgage within 20 days, even though banks typically take 1 to 3 months on average. When I viewed the property, I noticed construction work nearby. I called to ask what was being built, and the sales manager claimed they had no information. Later, my solicitor discovered that the vendor was actually retaining part of the land, leaving only a small garden—something the agent failed to disclose. To make matters worse, she wants to put the property back to market agent accused me of money laundering, despite my having a clear financial record and paying taxes on every penny I earn. When I challenged this false claim, she abruptly ended the call, said she didn’t trust my bank, and immediately put the property back on the market—without informing the vendor. I had already spent money on a solicitor, valuation, and mortgage broker fees, which I wouldn’t have gotten back if the agent had secured another buyer. Fortunately, I informed my solicitor, who contacted the vendor’s solicitor. It turned out the vendor had no idea the property was relisted, and they assured us that no other viewings would be allowed. This experience was stressful and costly. I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this estate agent.

28th Aug 2025 (11 mo. ago)I'd just like to share my experience with this company. I rented a beautiful cottage through Hix at a very fair price. It was a dream come true for me. I was there for roughly 6 years. Hix were the nicest most accessible and responsive company to work with. It helped them that I took good care of the cottage and in return they treated me with the greatest respect and actioned any jobs quickly. The only reason I left my lovely cottage was because I met a lovely lady and we set up home together and we're still there. If I had to rent again, Hix would be my first port of call. Thanks ladies!

I was kept fully updated at all times and was supported through the entire process both pre and after sales. When I come to sell my property, I won’t be looking elsewhere.

20th May 2026 (11 weeks ago)Edit- The attached is the current situation at an Eddisons property on Swan Street. Eddisons 'do not wish to spend such sums' on a BIN so there are overflowing bins all around the entrance, bags being torn open by animals and residents can't open ground floor windows as it lets flies in. Eddison's suggestion? I'll send emails asking people to keep rubbish in their flats until before bin day, and people don't as they want rubbish out of their homes. So the rubbish in the street. No lack of urgency or rigour in response. Eddisons response below is 'I suggest you contact your landlord.' The 'landlord' response is 'we do not represent all parties so we cannot do anything regarding the shared areas which is up to Eddisons.' As the attached proves, Eddisons are the management company.

5th Sep 2023 (2 years ago)TES took over from Hunters just after I had given notice to Hunters and after having to stay with them for 16 weeks, all of the office staff changed almost overnight. I thought rather than go back to square one I would see what they could do. By that time my partners sale completed (21 April) and I have to admit I took my eye off the ball as we were very busy with workmen etc. However the communication was very little. I had one lady view in that time but she had not sold herself. She did view a second time but turned out to be a time waster. No-one senior ever spoke to me about any plan. I asked about an open day perhaps and was told the market for bungalows was just not there. I am now sorting out another agent who is due to photograph and do a floor plan today. Fingers crossed.
