8th Jan 2024 (17 weeks ago)My partner and I recently bought a property through Marc Allen and we can safely say, Marc is an excellent estate agent. In what ended up being a seven month process and a very stressful time for my partner and I. Marc went above and beyond in all areas and without his dedication and communication up until the very end, it may not have completed in time. Poppy and I would highly recommend Marc and his team to anyone buying or selling in the Hungerford area.
23rd Nov 2023 (24 weeks ago)Just don't go there. Individually very pleasant people, as a firm, hopeless. I engaged them with specific agreed conditions which they all seemed happy with but were totally ignored. They had a tenant in the wings but did not send me any signed hard copy tenancy agreement until the tenant had taken up occupation three weeks previously. They are expensive for poor performance and ignore instructions taking it upon themselves to follow their own devices. Keys taken away preventing cleaners access. More keys cut contra to instruction and overall totally ignored my instructions, contract conditions and expensive to boot.

They were very helpful and polite and even with the frustration of delays and COVID, they have remained brilliant. Thank you.

Throughout the tenancy Jacqueline Marchant – Currie has been amazing making sure we're kept up to date on issues and changes as well as just being very approachable and earnest, she really did make renting an easier experience. Would recommend above many other rental agencies we've used in the past

4th Oct 2023 (7 mo. ago)We have just bought and sold with Hillier and Wilson. Their local knowledge was a great bonus in getting us into our new home. The whole team were always available to answer questions or deal with chain issues in a quick and positive manner. Carol, in particular, was a major driving force in liaising with solicitors and the rest of the chain to get the whole chain to completion. I would thoroughly recommend them, whether buying or selling.

We were constantly informed on where we were with the purchase of our home which was invaluable to us after the huge let down we had with another agent. Would recommend Katy and Strutt & Parker with the utmost confidence.

They acted for us with care and integrity, and went the extra mile on many occasions to ensure good communication between parties. The team were responsive and kind, and provided valuable advice at various points. An outstanding service.

All staff dealt with have been incredibly unpleasant, contentious, arrogant, unprofessional, unknowledgeable and unhelpful. This includes the practice manager who failed to respond appropriately or professionally to a complaint. I am contemplating taking further action.
20th Nov 2023 (24 weeks ago)Awful, I do not recommend our estate agent was very condescending and would never speak to us or ring us back with an update like he advised. They made the experience more stressful and I would never sell/buy a house with them again.

And now we are living there any issues we’ve had have been rapidly resolved by her and her team!! Thank you so much Gabby you’ve been incredible and continue to do so!!!
30th Jan 2024 (14 weeks ago)One of the worst experiences I have had. Incompetence doesn’t cover it. As someone who demands reliability and integrity I would not use this company. They are poor at communicating and when direct emails are sent they are ignored. If you are a seller I would choose another company as they will more than likely lose you clients. As a buyer I would go direct to the owner of the property and make an off the cards offer and cut them out.

Due to circumstances outside our control ours didn't and we then received a shocking email threatening us with 50% fees if our buyers pulled out. What they don't tell you is that they're a franchise, and they also don't sign up to The Property Ombudsman or any organisation to follow a Code of Conduct.... you will have no legal redress if things go wrong

28th May 2023 (11 mo. ago)I purchased a property though Jones Robinson at Marlborough working through Deborah Harris. I have no complaints whatsoever and Deborah handled everything very professionally. Communication was prompt, thorough and professional and at no point did I feel 'out on a limb'. Now that I'm in my new home, I won't be needing to use their services again - not in the immediate future, anyway - but to those considering a move then I would recommend you take a very close look at them.

12th Jul 2023 (9 mo. ago)We had arranged to rent a property through them following a video viewing due to where we were at the time and having been assured it had a secure garden for our dog and that it had outside storage as no garage at the property.. both were essential. We paid a substantial holding deposit that has never been refunded even though following a niggling gut instinct that saw us driving 4 hrs to check the property before moving in date saw us discover that in fact the garden was open between the property and the next door property allowing our dog to get through into a public lane that led to a main road or a huge public recreation area, there was no external storage at all, the property had not been decorated in years and windowsills actually had huge chunks of paint missing, the back door had a huge hole in it and the kitchen units were in a dire state.... the current tenants also advised us that the carpets were going as were theirs.... The video never showed us any of this.... It's been a valuable lesson learned..
