This has been a very new experience for me having bought houses previously in the traditional way! From the first contact to organise and then carry out a viewing of the home to now, with completion imminent, everyone I've been in contact with at Davies & Davies has been patient, friendly, good humoured and informative. Davies & Davies have been an absolute pleasure to do business with.

Ben C was brilliant in lining up the particulars for the sale and also upfront re market value.. where clearly others will over value to get you on the books and never sell it which can be very stressful!. Kingstons managed a quick sale, on the money and have been on it with any information required. They Also recommended a solicitor who has been brilliant (Setfords). Thanks for the stress free sale team.

From the very beginning, they were incredibly kind, positive and understanding - something that truly set them apart from what people often expect of estate agents. They approached everything with such sensitivity, recognising that this wasn’t just a sale, but something tied to a bereavement. Their support and thoughtful communication made a difficult process feel much more manageable. Their professionalism was equally impressive. The property was sold to the first viewers, which speaks volumes about their expertise, preparation and approach. I would wholeheartedly recommend Sam and Russell to anyone. They combine genuine compassion with outstanding results, a rare and invaluable combination.

Highly recommended- 22nd Jun 2026 (24 days ago)My wife had a lengthy conversation with one of your agents on 19 June 2026 regarding a property we had seen on your website, which was available on a shared ownership basis. Following that discussion, we arranged an appointment for 22 June 2026 at 2:00 pm for a viewing and to discuss the relevant formalities.<br><br>We expressed our interest because we know that we meet the eligibility criteria. Before booking the appointment, I had also mentioned that although the listing stated a 10% deposit, I would be comfortable providing 20–30% if required.<br><br>However, approximately two hours before our scheduled appointment, I received a call from one of your agents informing me that another buyer had made an offer on the property. I was then told that the viewing would only proceed once my eligibility had been assessed. This gave the impression that, while no buyer had been found, we were welcome to view the property, but now that another interested party had come forward, our appointment was no longer being treated as a priority.<br><br>I had specifically cancelled my work shift to attend this appointment, as this was the only available time offered to us. What I find disappointing is that another buyer appears to have been given priority before our eligibility had even been assessed, despite the fact that we had already registered our interest and arranged a viewing.<br><br>I fully appreciate that properties attract multiple buyers, and I have no issue with someone else purchasing the property. However, once another buyer had made an offer, it would have been courteous and professional to inform us immediately, rather than waiting until just two hours before our appointment.<br><br>I was also disappointed by the manner in which your agent handled the call today. The tone and attitude during the conversation gave the impression that they were not genuinely interested in meeting with us or assisting us further. Rather than feeling that our enquiry was valued, it felt as though our appointment had become an inconvenience. Such an approach, combined with the short notice and lack of communication, came across as highly unprofessional.<br><br>,In my experience, other estate agencies have been far more organised, responsive and professional. I would strongly encourage improvements to your customer service and communication processes so that prospective buyers are treated fairly and their time and commitment are respected.

13th Jul 2026 (3 days ago)Oliver and Chandler at the beginning were ok. But after about two weeks started to suggest that we should drop the valuation that they had placed on our property even with them only providing two viewings in that period. Advertising was not that good. We stayed with them for eight weeks but only received another six viewings in that time. Over all that time communication was getting less and less. We told them we were thinking of putting a second vendor on, and that's when we herd nothing from them for weeks. Not the service that we were expecting from them

12th Jul 2026 (4 days ago)I purchased my house through McFarlane, Tianah was great during the initial viewings and Natalie was fantastic throughout the process at keeping me informed and chasing the solicitor/ relevant parties.<br><br>Only downside was the time taken of 6 months from the offer being accepted to getting the keys.<br><br>The bottle of Prosecco upon collecting the keys was a nice touch too!
