30th Mar 2023 (3 years ago)Signed for a no fee deal including legal fees. Paid £200 up front. The buyer of my property dragged on for months resulting in me losing my house purchase. Dowena then refused to pay the legal fees despite the agreement costing me over £400 in fees for nothing. Very immoral company.
25th Aug 2026 (28 days ago)We sold our property through Northwood and it was a great experience<br>Leanne was in charge of our sale and was perfect, always had an answer to my question and always called me with solutions not problems. She was also great at calling/emailing me whenever she said she would, which is always hard to find.<br>Sam was also excellent whenever we dealt with him. Always cheery and happy to answer my many stupid questions, even on moving day<br>They were great through the whole process, and whilst there was plenty of stress (as always) they were never the cause of it<br>I'd definitely recommend them and use them again

19th Feb 2026 (7 mo. ago)They offered advice on valuation that matched our expectations, they put it on the market at the value we wanted. We had viewings constantly whilst it was on the market. They advised us to keep taking viewings after offer accepted until we were sale agreed. This resulted in a higher bid, so it was worth it. Only negative was the amount of Photoshop used in photos.

Carla is extremely good at her job, with advice and negotiation. I would recommend Hegarties at Houghton.

20th Feb 2026 (7 mo. ago)Useful to be invited to comment! I/we would say that it's never good to be provided with false information. Nor to suffer broken promises, or to be introduced to a buyer who definitely isn't going to be able to buy, and an agent is well aware. These things cause real damage and distress to a seller. I/we definitely don't recommend this business, it caused provable harm.
6th Sep 2026 (16 days ago)Avoid this company they made buying our first home an awful experience. I’d especially advise you to avoid Susie Ralston and Paul Howell. Told me the role as an estate agent is to list and sell a property and any chasing of a chain is simply a good will gesture and falls outside of the estate agent’s ethics.<br>They had the audacity to advise thier contact log showed 32 contact points since April. Yes 32 times I had to chase and ask for updates to which I was met with nothing meaningful and to contact my solicitor. They also had the cheek to say I knew the vendors daughter in law so I had updates from them - shouldn’t have to justify I know sometime from a school run not personally as a friend.<br>Ignored my complaint request for compensation.<br>Property onbudsman is my next step.

From first contact, the valuation, photography, brochure preparation, first viewing and receipt of an offer for full asking price took less than 3 weeks. Sales Manager Rachel Smiles was especially helpful in giving advice on content of the sales brochure and her friendly staff in arranging the 2 viewings by first interested party.
