AVOID THIS. I recently rented a property through Taylor’s and had a very disappointing experience. During the renting process, I specifically asked the agent multiple times whether all utilities were included. Each time, she assured me that they were. Even when I received the contract, I asked again to confirm that utilities were included, and once more, I was told that everything was covered. However, after moving in, I was informed by the landlord (who lives nearby) that the internet was not included. When I approached the agent, she simply pointed to the contract and explained that the internet wasn’t part of the utilities. This was extremely frustrating because she had never mentioned this crucial detail during the contracting process, despite my repeated questions. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that, even in the contract, the definition of utilities clearly includes electricity, gas, water, and internet. Now, I’m stuck in a six-month lease, but all broadband plans in the area are for 18 or 24 months. Who is going to cover this extra cost? Had I known from the start that internet wasn’t included, I would have reconsidered my options and possibly rented for a longer term to align with the broadband plans. I’m left questioning if this constitutes some form of deception, as the agent deliberately withheld important information to mislead me into renting the property. It feels dishonest and manipulative, and I strongly urge others to avoid dealing with this company. Very disappointing and unprofessional.... Read more

I rented a house with these agents for a year and I would not recommend them. They are very difficult to contact for maintenance issues and some fixes they said would be finished before we even moved in (e.g. fitting curtains in the bedroom, repainting the walls was 'done' very badly as they were different patch colours of white) were never completed during our tenancy. They also tried to withhold our deposit at the end of tenancy due to items being left in the house... even tho I had previously agreed with them that, as the items where there when we arrived, they could stay at no cost to us. Luckily I had emails to back this up so we did get most of our deposit back. But even when we agreed an amount of the deposit to return to us (almost the total sum), when they sent it to my bank it was less and what we had agreed. When I left them know this they did send the rest however I wouldn't trust them at their word so make sure you keep a paper trail and get all agreements in writing.... Read more

Deakin White were efficient and proactive in searching for properties for me. Both Sarah and Elliot were very good, made appointments at short notice and their sales style was not pushy at all (which I really liked). Communication is an area for improvement, it became apparent when talking to the seller directly that information wasn't always being passed on and the manager of the branch was able to progress things that had stalled for a few weeks. We recently completed the purchase of our new home that was being sold by Lion Estates. From the very beginning the communication was excellent, first of all dealing with Dom to arrange a viewing and then negotiating on the offer. We had quite a lengthy process due to solicitors and everything that comes with buying and selling in the UK.
