14th Jan 2021 (5 years ago)Found that viewing were being booked but some never showed, offers were being made but always mysteriously disappear or are not chased back. Just lost confidence completely. The feedback was vague also.

Was really helpful to be able to speak to any member of the team who could always answer my questions . Always explained everything in detail . Would highly recommend Abode if need an estate agent .

They guided me through a particularly difficult sale with patience, professionalism, and genuine care. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their communication was exceptional throughout.<br><br>In a world where many agencies feel impersonal, this team stands out for all the right reasons. They made a stressful process feel manageable and supported me every step of the way. A truly outstanding service from people who clearly love what they do.

5th Aug 2026 (6 weeks ago)Went for a viewing and was told at that viewing that if I wanted to put in an application then I had to either email or call but no one would be able to receive either until the next day. I called as soon as they opened the next day and was told that the system was being slow but they would send me the application. I emailed after a few hours as I hadn’t heard anything and found that the email address they had communicated with me on had an out of office for a week so emailing wouldn’t do anything. I called them again and was told that the other person I had viewed with had put in an application and holding fee before I had called (which was as soon as they opened). I’m not sure if I believe that but regardless, they gave me incorrect information which cost me a property.

Communication and support were excellent and they were ready with reassurance and guidance at every stage. Solutions were found for my questions and concerns about furniture removal, and the practical help I received was invaluable.<br>Cobble Country proved to be exceptional Estate Agents. My thanks go to Nigel, Sue and Felicity for handling the sale of my house with such efficiency, care and understanding – a truly brilliant team!

11th Jan 2026 (8 mo. ago)We are about to complete the purchase of a property through Thornley Groves estate agents in Hale. Buying or selling a house can be a stressful process, but the team at Thornley Groves were consistently professional, supportive, and impressive throughout. Chris, the branch manager, initially helped us with putting in our offer and was fair, transparent, and professional from the outset, which immediately gave us confidence in the process. Claire regularly checked in with both us and the vendor to ensure everyone was aligned and that all paperwork was progressing promptly. This made us feel well supported and helped keep things moving quickly without unnecessary delays. As we were part of a chain, there were some challenges in getting the top and bottom of the chain to agree on a completion date. Jamie, who originally showed us the property, was exceptional in handling this. She took the initiative to draft a detailed email, bringing all parties together, and used her professionalism and experience to resolve the situation and secure an agreed completion date. Her efforts were instrumental in ensuring a smooth conclusion to the transaction. Overall, I cannot recommend the team at Thornley Groves highly enough.

The lettings manager came out and met me at the property, she explained every process and how the property was going to be marketed and how a tenant was found and referenced. From the moment I met Emily I knew I was going to get a good service. They found me a tenant within 2 weeks of having my property valued. Would highly recommend!

We were given lots of advice and support when we were ready to advertise our property and the photos gave the best representation of our home. We went live on boxing day and after one day of viewing we had an over the asking price offer. Everything has run seamlessly and without issue. Tom was available to speak to whenever we needed clarification or advice.
