She really went the extra mile to make sure we had a an easy stress free move and helped a lot with the closure of are contract which we are sad that come to and end. Highly recommend if looking for a property in the Salisbury area . Will definitely be going back to Siobhan when looking for a new property . Truly an amazing lady .
28th Feb 2024 (7 weeks ago)Terrible service. Failed in the basic- checking source and availability of funds of buyer. Left us out of pocket by many thousands of pounds when at exchange the buyer had no funds. Failed to follow their own complaints procedure by ignoring our emails.

They are a 10 out of 10 service and go above and beyond what is asked. They are a reassuring constant that we knew we could rely upon when we needed that support and advice. John, the sales manager has been by our side right from the start. He gave us a competitive and fair valuation and listened to our own requirements. John is professional, friendly, positive, caring, accommodating and took extra steps to make sure everything was streamlined. We cannot thank John enough for his hard work with getting us over the line. Many of Austin Hawk's team were involved at some point bringing skills and expertise which made you realise what a special service you are receiving. In the early stages, Alison prepared a brochure which presented the property in a clear but accurate and eye-catching manner. Luke from sales was also such a supportive figure when we asked many questions or needed some direction. Georgia took excellent photography and precise dimensions. She made sure our home was shone in the best light possible to grab the attention of potential buyers. When we had many viewings, it was organised in an efficient way that made sure it didn't interrupt our daily lives too much. When a buyer was found, it was handy to have Austin Hawk as a co-ordinator between us and the buyer. Austin Hawk helped smooth out any issues that had arisen and provided us with extra information on the lead up to moving day of what was happening. We certainly recommend Austin Hawk to anyone and wish the company the best of luck in the future. We will miss you all.
15th Apr 2024 (4 days ago)It was our first time experience giving our house for letting and we are fortunate that it was handled by James and Kiara from Connells Amesbury. They were superb and helped us in every step. The communication was great and their response was very efficient. I would highly recommend them.- 1st Apr 2024 (18 days ago)Oh dear. We found a property to rent and what started off as a promising start, with Aimee in her first week as a lettings agent, she was very pleasant and competent. We placed the required 5 weeks holding deposit on the property and proceeded with the referencing formalities etc., During this time the Landlady changed her mind (not for the first time) and no longer wanted to rent the property but now wanted to sell it. As we had only signed the 'intention' to rent and paid the holding deposit to Connells, that was that, the tenancy could not go ahead. So we asked Connells for our 5 weeks deposit back and despite being told it would be returned, kept getting fobbed off with excuses such as 'the accounts team are very busy' to, 'we use an external company to take/hold the deposits' (which was not disclosed at the time placing the payment directly with them.. Upshot after continual failures to return the deposit we gave them a 5 day notice of intended litigation. No deposit received, so proceeded with a claim through the Small Claims Court. Strangely, the deposit was then returned, but not yet the costs incurred is getting it back; so we will proceed with the litigation and see what a Judge makes of their behavior. I understand the 'change in mind was not the agents fault, but the manner in which they behaved thereafter was dreadful. Avoid handing any money over to them.
25th Mar 2024 (25 days ago)Michael was very helpful at the introduction. We chose A&W over three other local agents. However, things went drastically wrong after that. The photography (a 'professional' photographer in a tearing hurry) was very poor; lots of overexposure, and failed to actually capture the relevant features (eg stools chopped in half at breakfast bar, missed a feature wall, and had to be called back from the road for missing photos). When the Particulars were sent the photos were unsatisfactory. A&W said they would correct this, but when particulars were resent - they sent the same photos even though we had discussed and approved other photos for use - including some that we took ourselves, to supplement the poor ones. There appears to be little communication between the staff, and even less with the clients. As a result we decided not to continue with this agent having lost faith: if they couldn't even get the particulars right, what sort of service would they be able to provide further down the line? Would not recommend.
26th Jul 2022 (1 year ago)Over valued our property at £1,500,000. Then asked us to reduce asking price by £250,000, had people viewing offering £1,000,000 thinking we were desperate to sell because of the large reduction. Sacked them after two months, house never sold.

Joe, Amy and Courtney were amazing, professional and friendly throughout the entire process, even with delays caused further down the chain and the stressful situation the process can be, they went above and beyond to assist, chase up solicitors, other estate agents and be available whenever we needed them. Highly recommend!

30th Jan 2024 (11 weeks ago)One of the worst experiences I have had. Incompetence doesn’t cover it. As someone who demands reliability and integrity I would not use this company. They are poor at communicating and when direct emails are sent they are ignored. If you are a seller I would choose another company as they will more than likely lose you clients. As a buyer I would go direct to the owner of the property and make an off the cards offer and cut them out.

30th Jan 2024 (11 weeks ago)After making the tough decision to sell my property, I then had an even more difficult decision to make in choosing which Estate Agent to list with. Through experience, I knew which agents that I definitely did not want to use and this left me with a handful of options to consider. I met with 3 different Estate Agent representatives and I knew immediately after my consultation with Oliver Chandler that I wanted to use them. Not only do they have many years of experience working in the industry, they also valued my input regarding valuation, the 'process' to take in adjusting to the market and most important of all; the urgency to get my property onto the market. My property was listed the next day! Oliver Chandler gave a genuine and personal service that is lacking in most industries these days, particularly the Estate Agent business. They went above and beyond in dealing with all aspects of my house viewings, sale and purchase. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Do yourself and favour and chose Oliver Chandler as your Estate Agent, you will not regret it.
