2nd Apr 2026 (5 weeks ago)Alyson helped me sell my flat so I could purchase a new home. I would definitely use Alexander Taylor again. Me and my partner found Alyson professional, really communicative, yet friendly at the same. We had 3 offers within going live after only one week on the market, despite other agents telling me it could take months to sell. Unfortunately, the original buyer pulled out from the sale, which I know happens and cannot be controlled. However, Alyson handled the setback really well and was determined to get the place sold again, which she did. When I felt frustrated due to a lack of communication with lawyers and banks, Alyson was different and always kept us updated throughout the process.

10th Oct 2025 (6 mo. ago)If I could give more stars, I would. Grant at the Cupar office has been wonderful helping us buy our first house. He covered all bases, was very kind and patient with us when we asked a million questions, and was so quick that we had moved within the month! The whole thing was super easy for us and very afforable. We're grateful for all his help, and will recommend Thorntons to everyone as a reliable and trustworthy firm, especially for first time buyers.
25th Apr 2019 (7 years ago)Went in to enquire about the area as a potential place to move to and the staff were about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Every question was met with an unhelpful response. Got the feeling she didn't want us to move there or she was incompetent at her job. Won't be back any time soon!!
20th Jun 2025 (10 mo. ago)Unfortunately, we found our experience with Thorntons to be pretty disappointing. Our initial contact was fine, but we suspect the house was valued too highly, & after 11 weeks and 2 price drops, we still had not one single viewer. Our contact in the office was away on holiday, & when I rang to speak to the person appointed to deal with the house in the interim, she seemed clueless as to who I was or anything about the house. We took the decision to remove the house from Thorntons and advertise it at auction. We did this, & accepted an offer within a few days of doing so. We understand that the market in St Andrews is very flat just now, but feel that Thorntons did very little to try and help us achieve a sale.

6th Feb 2023 (3 years ago)If it was possible, I'd have given Abbey Forth zero stars. Here's my experience with them: The place I rented from Abbey Forth had not been cleaned when I moved in. It was in a disgusting state with several broken fixtures. I took many photos and informed them that, because I was having to clean my new flat, I wouldn't be paying for the place to be professionally cleaned when I moved out. Throughout my year at the property, they were unprofessional and unhelpful when other problems arose: trying to charge me for boiler repairs (a boiler which was leaking on day 1), failing to resolve a drainage issue outside the kitchen door and, worst of all, falling to resolve an infestation of slugs in the kitchen - an obvious health hazard. When I moved out, they unsurprisingly tried to deduct £190 from my deposit for cleaning. I successfully disputed this charge with the deposit scheme, using the pictures and emails I'd sent them over the length of the tenancy. The deposit scheme found that, as the property was not cleaned to a good condition for the start of the tenancy, that I should only having to pay £60 In summary: Abbey Forth is the worst estate agent I've ever used. Rude staff and a general ethos of trying to squeeze money out of tenants for as little effort as possible. Only sign up with them if you are desperate and have no other options. If this is the case, then please make sure you document everything for inevitable struggle to get your deposit back

Their expertise in the local market was evident, and their marketing strategy showed off the property to its best advantage, while reaching a wide audience. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome and highly recommend Aberdein Considine to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.

Please just keep to selling houses ( You will be judged otherwise)- This agent doesn't have any reviews

Good at explaining everything, did great research of the property. Sold the property in 9 days! And for over home report! I cannot recommend Chloe and Marie more! Thank you sooo much for everything. 28th Jan 2026 (14 weeks ago)Awful experience. Collected money from owners for roof repairs that never happened, then walked away as factor while still holding the funds. Months of chasing for basic answers and a refund timeline. Communication is dismissive and contradictory, and getting a clear breakdown of what’s been spent and what’s being withheld has been like pulling teeth. Would not recommend to anyone.
3rd Apr 2026 (4 weeks ago)We had initial meeting with Lisa with regard to bringing property to market, but Sophie has been our main point of contact since then, handling all our enquiries and viewings. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and she was always there to answer any questions we had regarding the processes. We feel Sophie is an absolute asset to the Glenrothes branch.
