I called the office (several times) and was assured that the agent conducting the viewing was busy with other clients and would call me however despite this I did not receive the virtual viewing as arranged.

They are extremely reliable and always on the other end of the phone/email when needed. I know a few of my friends have also used this agent and have the same feedback. Thanks again :)

23rd Feb 2026 (24 weeks ago)? 1 Star – Completely Unacceptable Living Conditions I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this company. For five years I repeatedly reported serious repair issues that were never properly resolved. During that time, my six-year-old child was forced to live in unacceptable and unsafe conditions. The property had broken internal doors, a constantly leaking bathroom, rusted and leaking radiators, and a kitchen full of damp and mould. The issues were ongoing and left unattended despite numerous complaints. What makes this worse is that instead of addressing the disrepair, their house cleaner was posting videos on Instagram showcasing the property — yet it was still in the same poor condition I had been left to live in for seven years. Nothing meaningful had been fixed. It felt like appearance mattered more than tenant welfare. No child should have to grow up in a home with persistent leaks, mould, and broken fixtures. The lack of urgency, care, and basic responsibility shown throughout my tenancy was beyond disappointing. I would not recommend renting through them.

If you want a bespoke selling experience for a fifth of the price of a high street agent with a company that actually makes the experience smooth and even enjoyable, then use South Manchester Homes. They are professional, reliable, helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. I sold in 10 days with South Manchester Homes and they then continued to manage the sale brilliantly to completion in 6 weeks. From the first meeting I found Jonothan and Emma to be unlike any estate agent I'd used before. They valued our house, offered lots of helpful suggestions and were on hand personally to discuss the sale (no office intermediaries or passing you on to another agent). They marketed the house brilliantly (I'm in Marketing) taking fantastic photos and a great walk through video which were up on Rightmove, along with a fantastic and detailed description within 4 hours of visiting the house. Jonothan then personally handled all inbound enquiries personally, sharing his knowledge of the house with all prospective buyers. He then organised them so they all fell on the sunniest day of the week (so the house would look its best) and personally greeted and hosted the viewings in a an amicable and professional manner. We had seven viewings on the Friday, 2 full asking price offers on the Monday, which were vetted and checked by South Manchester Homes and progressed to sealed bids and had accepted a buyer by the Wednesday. 5 days from viewings, to sealed bids to sold! Amazing! South Manchester Homes also helped massively in the build up to the viewings and were on hand personally for help and advice. They sourced a professional cleaning team when I was struggling which made a massive difference to the viewings and even sourced a handyman to change the door lock when a handle broke the night before viewings (at 6 at in the evening I mentioned it to Jonothan, by 7 pm the door had a new locking handle!) I'm sorry if this seems a long winded review, but I never normally leave reviews or recommendations, but in this case I think the world needs to know. South Manchester Homes are a fifth of the price of a high street agent but are ten times the value. It's like having a concierge service for selling your home, always available, courteous and friendly and ready to help and provide solutions during what is normally an incredibly stressful situation. They helped us massively to prepare the house for sale, found a fantastic buyer for our home and managed the sale personally from start to finish (even recommending a solicitor and working with them to complete the sale in less than 7 weeks!) Having bought and sold before with other companies I can honestly say that I would now only ever sell through South Manchester Homes. With other companies you meet the main man to value your home and then you and you're prospective buyers deal with a range of office staff and Saturday help, leading to communication breakdown and frustration, with South Manchester Homes you and your buyers speak directly to Jonothan and Emma, who manage the whole process with calm professionalism. They are experts in the Manchester housing market who bring their knowledge and experience to your sale, and make selling your home a far less stressful experience. I have recommended them to everyone I know and have told Jonathan that he can pass my number on to anyone who would like to check this review is genuine.To have a custom, personalised service for selling your home that is only £1500 is incredible value. Having now sold with South Manchester Homes, I would happily sign a cheque to them for the £7k other agents were asking, they are that good. Some things seem to good to be true, and I can understand if you are thinking can't they be that good for that price, but they are. When I looked them up on review sites I was impressed that the reviews (all positive) came from all sides of the process, buyers, sellers, landlords, even tenants! It made me realise that it wasn't just me as the seller that was getting the 5 star service, but that prospective buyers would also be handled with the same courteous professionalism. South Manchester homes are now the only agent I will ever use to sell a house, not that I'm rushing to do it again, but if I did I'd be pretty relaxed about it knowing Jonothan and Emma were on hand to smooth the way. Brilliant people, brilliant Price, just call them now!

All aspects of the sale from valuation to completion were faultless. Communication is easy, updates accurate and timely so we would have no qualms about giving Jaks 5?
