I have had a nightmare experience using this agency. As a first-time landlord I was relying on William H Brown act on my behalf when in fact my experience has been more hands on and stressful than they had me believe. In the end I dealt directly with my tenant (despite paying for a maintenance service) because their communication between both parties was next to non-existent and at one point my tenant went for a considerable period of time without a working toilet due to WH Brown's lackadaisical performance. The issue was rectified by myself within 1 day of me receiving reports of the situation directly from the tenant.
Unfortunately I am still yet to cut my ties with the company as I now have a situation whereby the property has been damaged, which should be covered by the deposit held, yet I am told that even though the tenant originally acknowledged and agreed the damage following the exit report, I have no leg to stand on due to the quote coming after the acknowledgement and that the tenant has now reneged on the agreement. William H Brown tell me there is nothing they can do so what was I actually paying them for?
