I'm so impressed with Reed Residential, in particular Sol and Flora. Sol's attention to detail to ensure the deal was a win win for everyone was superb! Flora was extremely patient and joyful everytime we corresponded. Mike, the group manager was so accommodating and everyone was extremely professional.
I work closely with a few estate agents and it was so refreshing to deal with Reed Residential. Everyone understood what we were looking to achieve and worked tirelessly to get things done. I hope to work with them
all again soon. Highly recommended! If I could give more than 5 starts I would!
Avoid at all costs. Cannot name a single thing they did well during our entire tenancy. Shocking service and rude staff throughout. Most of the 5* reviews look fake as well, what a shambles.
Fantastic service from the staff at Blackshaw Homes. They let my flat quickly and efficiently keeping updated at all times on the progress of the letting.
We rented from Blackshaw for 7 years they were a disgrace, boiler didn't work, slugs, mice, rising damp.. you name it we had it.. they did nothing to improve the living conditions.. id avoid like the plague

Highly recommend pace Lettings Stacey was lovely and very helpful showing me around my new home and dealing with all paperwork and getting everything sorted. I won’t go with anyone else. Thank you for everything. Mrs inns
You can easily spot the difference between the reviews they have written themselves and genuine reviews. Get everything in writing from these people. they tel you one thing on the phone then do another. They even create fake correspondence to cover their incompetencies.
I have used Turners to both sell and rent out properties and have always found the team very friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble and they always go that extra mile to make sure everything is perfect.
I would definitely use them again and have recommended them to my friends and family.
I would never recommend to any tenant or landlord to work with this agency. I have been renting a property (as a tenant) for 2.5 years through this agency and the property management has been of a very low standard. Had to give notice because of this reason. After inspection visits things that were notified as broken or not working were not fixed. I had to call and write several times to notify again these things and when left the property some of them were never fixed. Examples: no heating and hot water for more than a week, not working bath tap (1 year to get fixed), window ropes (so some windows would not open), crackling wall, wall paper not properly glued, ... the list is endless.
After years of disappointing service from other managing agents our accountant recommended Sorrell. The service has been excellent with regular accounts supplied which are entirely transparent and of great use for our accountant and tax return. The transfer over to Sorrell was swift and easy thanks to Alex and the accounts team and they have dealt with all my difficult tenants. Thoroughly recommended.
I have re-written this review on the basis that my close friend, who is a direct customer of Sorrell and whom I was going to buy their property off of, received a phone call from Sorrell threatening me with legal action over my last review. Plus I am worried they could potentially make life more difficult for her than it already is. So this is going to be as constructive and as fair as possible within my freedom of speech rights.
My friend has been a direct customer of Sorrell for 7 years since they took over the leasehold over her building (in 2012) and where they manage the building that she lives and owns a property in.
In being a supportive friend over the years and being passionate about her well-being, I have seen her struggle emotionally and financially over the years because of the increase in the property/service management fees and more specifically one-off fees for incidents occurred (broken down lifts and roof leaks), which I would have thought logically been covered under the standard annual/monthly fees already in place. Even when repairs or changes are carried out it has taken Sorrell and their suppliers a very long time to complete works, over a year in some instances.
I digress, this review of 1 star is purely based on having to watch my friend deal with a below average service and expensive costs, sometimes blamed on the property owners themselves in letters which I have seen or the previous management company prior to 2012 (7 years ago), also in letters which I have seen. My friend cannot sell the property because viewers and potential buyers are commenting "the management fees are too expensive" and is now having to drastically reduce the sale price, close to the the original purchase price, 9 years ago! How can this be acceptable?! I hope all the flats paying the same?!
Annual fees are now 53% higher since 2012, however I should fairly and objectively point out that the year of 2019 does include a reserve fund for roof repairs, but still, 53% higher! This does not include previous additional one off fees e.g. In 2015 there was 4 figure sum payable within 2 weeks on top of regular annual costs (for lift repairs) or a £100 a month fine.
IN SUMMARY - I have no doubt Sorrell are a very professional company, however I think the company should consider a major overhaul and a major internal review of their charges and policies. The annual charge is currently over £4000 for 2019 which is majorly excessive, in my opinion. People have mortgages/bills to pay and certain standards of expectations.
I am sure you can do much, much better and redeem yourselves.
