I now have two properties being managed by Hamptons, Windsor and I couldn't be happier. The team of Sarah, Vicky and Martine and Denise are very professional, very efficient and a delight to deal with. On each occasion they have found ideal tenants within a week of receiving instructions and I am very happy to leave all issues in their very capable hands.
I had found a few properties in Windsor and also Slough and had contacted Hamptons International (Windsor) to inquire more about viewings and potentially renting one of their properties. Everything was going well as they were very informative and helpful. I had found a property and was in the process of going through referencing and had paid a holding deposit to secure the property. They had sent me contracts before referencing was completed which i found odd but i only assumed that each estate agent would do things differently. Shortly after my references was completed. I had a phone call from the agent i was liaising with to only tell me that my references failed and that i am not allowed to rent any of their properties for the rest of the year. I had asked them the reasons why my references failed as i have rented previously and i have never had any issues. They refused to tell me the reasons and just let me in the dark. They said that i should contact the referencing agency for them to disclose the information as they were unable to tell me anything. I then contacted the referencing agency to see why my references failed and the referencing agency said to me that they do not make the decision, they only collect the information and that the estate agent would be the on who would disclose this with me. Feeling confused i called the estate agent again and they told me that again, i should contact the referencing agency to find out the information as due to data protection act they are unable to. Now surely, as this is my own information i should be entitled to know what the issues are. My credit score on Experian is perfect and i have rented before so it really baffled me to why i was unable to rent a property? They did not offer me an option to put down a higher deposit, nor did they offer me to obtain a guarantor. On top of that they refused to refund my holding deposit which was £500. I had sent them emails stating that they never gave me options to secure my rental agreement and that there was a clause that states my holding deposit can be refunded if they were to pull out. There response was poor and mentioned that they didn't pull out but simply my references failed. They never even responded to my question of having a guarantor or putting down a higher deposit. In the end they only refunded me £189.50 out of £500 and said the rest was because they drew up contracts to which was done before my references was completed. This was very disappointing and i had lost money for no reason. I understand that a holding deposit can be non-refundable under certain circumstances (ie. if i was unable to obtain a guarantor, not able to put down a bigger deposit) but given my situation i should have been able to get my holding deposit back.
Rude ,Condescending , Zero level of customer service....Breaking Rules by not submitting offers to vendor, Ombudsman contacted!...Did similar thing to a family member a few years back! , Vendors Beware!

I emailed to find out about putting my flat on the market with them & they didn't reply. After emailing a second time they replied saying they hadn't seen any point in replying because they'd seen I'd contacted a number of other estate agents with lower rates so I wouldn't be interested. Very bad customer service.

Went to view a property marketed by the Frost Partnership today on Arthur Road, Windsor after traveling from Ealing. I arrived 45 minutes early and called the agent to confirm the viewing. 30 minutes later I was called and told that an offer had been accepted and the property was now sold. 1). There was no intention of meeting me at the property and it completely wasted my time 2) If I was selling the property and I had two prospecting buyers in the Market i would be looking for the best offer. Something that that Frost Partnership sales team didn't have the patience to test today. I would never buy with an agent that wasn't respectful of time nor sell with an agent that wasn't willing to do the due diligence to get me the best offer possible.

Where to start. Upon signing up with this agent, formerly Atkinson and Keene, we were hopeful to have a smooth transition moving into a property in Windsor. However our actual experience was quite the opposite unfortunately. They are a complete car crash of an operation.
When we moved in to an apartment in Windsor, we received a parking permit which instantly went in the window of my vehicle on display as there were clampers in operation in the parking area. incredibly, just a few days after moving in, I got clamped. Apparently my permit that was received by me only days before was not valid. Therefore I had to pay well over £100 to have the clamp removed from my wheel. As this was clearly not my fault, as I rent the property and I pay for the use of this parking space, I am not liable to pay for this. The first call I made was to the agent, to my amazement, they didn't want to know! Couldn't have been any less helpful if they tried. It wasn't their problem they said. So I was forced to pay for this out of my own pocket, to release a clamp put on my vehicle in my parking space that I pay for!
We had a quite a number of other issues whereby certain things were promised and never delivered, causing a lot of inconvenience to say the least. When I called to discuss a very serious matter to resolve the issue, I had the misfortune of speaking with the tyrant known as Kim, who was beyond rude, disrespectful and totally unprofessional. She then said "I really don't know why you keep bothering us with your problems”. As a customer this is totally unacceptable. She continuously interrupted us as we were trying to speak. When I stated "you're in danger of losing us as a customer" she responded with "that's fine". She isn't the only one without customer service skills I might add.
Every cloud has it's silver lining however, we now use Horler in Windsor and it was like a breath of fresh air, the transition of moving was smooth as you could ever wish for. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend anyone use them instead of Romans.
We received a great service from Chancellors.
In my opinion the most important thing about selling a property is the marketing and the photos of which Chancellors nailed it. As part of the service a professional photographer was used who was able to capture even the smallest detail which was vital for ensuring the right people viewed the property.
Now that we are looking for something to purchase it is even more apparent how good a job they did as we are coming across decent properties we had discounted due to poor agent photographs.
This combined with a very personal service where we were updated as to the marketing of the property as well as receiving detailed feedback after each visit makes them (in my opinion) one of the best agents in the area.
