14th Feb 2021 (3 years ago)I viewed a property at Harlesron which is on the rental market for £2000pm my daughter rang to arrange the viewing to be told they are only doing viewings over 1 days.... surely prospective tenants are shown around until the property is gone??!! However I rang and got an appointment. If I was the landlord, and being a landlord of several properties in the past, I would be horrified at the total lack of interest and knowledge that the young lady had. I totally understand COVID being in the housing business myself but there is certainly no excuse being told to show myself around the maze of the property and I would have expected her to know the basic like if there was a log burner, the boundary of the property, storage facilities and the amount of stables and despite her keep on saying she doesn’t know anything about horses I don’t think you need to know anything about horses but should certainly know what comes with the property. Certainly COVID does not restrict a member of staff walking the grounds showing a prospective purchaser around. I know if I was the landlord I would be totally dissatisfied with the level of service they are getting for their fee and I would certainly expect a better level of service from A prestigious company like Fine and Country! Let’s hope for the landlords sale that the property is taken by someone

1st Jan 2021 (3 years ago)From the first contact through to final completion of the sale, every step of the way with Bedfords was efficient, courteous and professional. First up was delivery of a valuation and selling proposal by hand on the same day as the initial visit to the property. We had three agents come to value and Bedfords outperformed the others with ease at this stage. From then on I was kept up to date with every viewing (this was an empty property - executor sale) with feedback and suggestions. The final negotiations and sale process were conducted efficiently and in a timely manner. Thanks to Susie Potter and the whole Bedfords team - realise this has been a challenging year and you were very busy - but Well Done.

So are now supporting us over the final process. What more could we ask! I would definitely recommend them.

They even secured me a buyer no messing around but unfortunately matters beyond my control I couldn’t go ahead and once again they were understanding and patient. Once the situation changes I will be going back to shipways. They are the best literally - well done shipways

18th Jan 2024 (17 weeks ago)AVOID THIS LAND AGENT AT ALL COSTS Unfortunately found myself in a situation where Landbridge was acting as land agent for the sale of a not insignificant asset. Their billing was utterly scandalous. They wanted an enormous % of the sale when compared to other agents, and were charging an extortionate hourly rate on top. All in they were around 100% more expensive than the going market rate. Added to this the billing was extremely opaque and arbitrary (think 1 hour to write a one line email). To call this outfit a bunch of grifters would be too kind. How they can get away with being a member of RICS is beyond me? YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

At every stage of the process they were helpful, and went out of their way to build a good relationship between buyers and sellers which worked to everyone's advantage-- especially as in this case the sellers will be our future neighbours. We had very well arranged zoom calls and resolved timing issues to do with stamp duty, moving dates, etc. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and we are very grateful to Sophia and the team.

Mark Hall navigated us through a complex probate sale, and proved to be very effective and completely trustworthy. A man of his word, and an extremely effective and experienced negotiator who I would definitely recommend to any vendor.

We were doubtful as heard this before and the house had been on the market for over a year.
