We recently purchased a property through Acorn. Our main dealings were with Beth Roberts, she was wonderful. She kept us up to date with everything even helping with our solicitor and liaising with the seller. Even after purchasing the flat Beth was very helpful with any queries I had and there were several!

Very disappointed how I am being dealt with.
Vaibhav is the property manager. Rented a property for nearly 2 & half years. Have complained numerous of times about the mould in the house. With the renewal going up by 250£ it got too expensive for what the house is. We agreed I pay 360£ early termination fee. I also agreed to stay in the property and liable for bills until someone moves in. My rent is 1.8k and Acorn listed for 2k. Was told someone has payed deposit and ready to move in. Agreed on 10th June I have to move out for the new tenants to move in on 11th. Had numerous calls to make sure I was vacating the property as agreed and asking to drop the keys I kept my word moved all my stuff and family, left the house clean and payed all rent i had stayed as asked. On 11th I get email saying the new tenant has pulled out of the deal and I’m still liable for the bills until someone is found. I rented van to move my furnitures and found temptorary accommodation until my new place gets ready. All of this because Acorn made me move out and now to my expense. Firstly you put the house on the market more from my rent was so makes it harder to find new tenants. Your covering up the mould from the viewers saying that there’s no mould. You have collected deposit from this tenant so why not using his deposit for this bills. Because you have failed on the deal with new tenant is your responsibility. My contract ended from the time you collected keys from me. You have the keys and asking me to pay for an empty property which I was open to stay and you made me rush. Bunch of incompetents trying your lack. You’re getting sued for all the dirty air my family has breathed and all the stress you’ve given me asking for money caused from your incompetence.

Thank you, Beth and Stuart! I really felt like the process was lower stress than if we worked with another agency. Others kept pestering me incessantly even after multiple no's and I'm sure they would have pushed us to accept a poor offer. Acorn had our backs and kept us calm and level headed! We also did all this while remote, and it all went seamlessly.
