Eddie Youds of Langford Russell has restored my faith in estate agents or should I say that he has proved that there are still some good ones out there. As part of a chain we sold in Streatham and bought in Beckenham; selling we dealt with 5 different agents (at the same firm) with very little support or knowledge between them. Buying we dealt with Eddie who was personable, knowledgable, helpful and worked hard to get the deal done. From pursuing solicitors to getting access for surveyors with just hours notice he ensured that the deal happened. As we have just bought we wont be selling for many years but if we were, I would instruct him without a shadow of doubt, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone thinking about selling.

The conveyance was a nightmare, Acorn add always 5 -10 years to the length of the lease,then they harass you to exchange even if you are not happy to , George Leney the most arrogant and unprofessional person I ever met , avoid at all costs.

Sorry for the nice people working there, but what a disaster of a company!
We found the flat we wanted through L&R, but looking run down. Offered the landlord to repaint it providing he does his share of works, like replacing a broken glass window overhanging the door way, removing the black mould impregnated all over the worktop, etc. We were promissed it would be done. The day we were given the keys, we realized that absolutely nothing had been done, that the unfurnished flat was left with old broken furniture and belongings, a gas canister abandoned outside hidden behind the shed, flush not working, boiler leaking, no inventory was ever made, nobody visited the flat after the previous tenant left.
We found another flat since, but we will never go close to Langford & Russell ever again.
