I have been dealing with Acorn at Lewisham for many years now.
The most friendly, happy, and go that extra mile staff I found there, the manager Tony always have a welcoming smile as you approach the office and so are his staff.
I have recently been dealing with Aicha, Aicha is pleasant, courteous, very driven young lady. She deals with queries and comes back with feedback in target time, she goes that extra mile to answer a clients query.
Aicha is an assett to Acorn and the Lewisham Branch with an Amazing manager Tony.

This was my first time using a London based estate agency and I think the process was very smooth and that was mostly down to Aicha. She answered every single one of our calls/queries and it was obvious she had our best interests always in mind and ensured we moved in by the date we needed to (which was the one we had requested initially). Rented a property through this firm for six months and never have I been met with such breath-taking ineptitude and incompetence before.
The lists of problems with this let are quite extensive but highlights include being told that I could rent the property for six months and then having to request changes to the length of the contract right up to the day of signing the contract, as the landlord hadn't specified that a six-month let was possible.
Then no instructions given on how to operate the properties heating and hot water systems leading to a higher gas and electricity bill for the first month as the only option I could find was an Immersion heater that had to be left on the whole time to provide hot water. There was no out of hours contact and in the end this query took 13 days to be answered.
This was later followed by an element failing in the cooker which was not replaced as it was decided by the landlord that the cooker should be replaced which took well over 6 weeks to complete due to poor communication from Acorn.
Then a long wait time followed this to regain the deposit despite requesting on several occasions if there was anything that could be done sooner, as I had vacated the property early. Even though the agency had been told on several occasions that I had vacated the property early I still got several phone calls asking if it was ok to do a viewing at such and such a time. Another clear indication of the lack of communication and cohesion at the branch/organisation. The final icing on the cake was when I was called by one of the branch negotiators to ask if I could help them with the heating and hot water at the property as a new tenant had moved into the property and was struggling. Once again, the agency had difficulties getting hold of the landlord (a theme that was a constant throughout my rental.) Suffice to say I still hadn't had my deposit returned to me at this point and was feeling less than helpful. Especially after receiving an email from the agency asking why I hadn’t paid my rent despite my contract being finished.
Be warned renting through Acorn is a massive mistake fraught with nothing but frustration. I have not used the buying side of the branch but see no reason why they should be any better.

Franco and Kadeem were very quick to reply to any correspondence i put their way. Once we found the home we wanted to buy Franco was extremely diligent answering all my calls and emails very quickly. We were always kept in the loop and Franco ensured that our sale (via another Agent) was always on course as well as the purchase at their end. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. Communication in these situations are key and these guys deliver!
