The agency was very good at bringing in viewings, we originally used a small independent agency and noticed a huge difference in viewing numbers. What I didn’t like was that they told me they could definitely sell my property for X amount when we signed up with them, then immediately wanted to reduce the price and told me ‘let’s be honest you were never going to get X your property is worth Y (lower amount). Very rude and dishonest people. Ultimately we sold it but felt very hard balled into accepting an offer when we felt perhaps we could’ve got more.

Have just switched to Davide Letizia at Acorn after years of grim experiences with Haart. Haart got three weeks into finding a new tenant, required five emails to respond to one, and basically did nothing. Davide found a tenant within 24 hours and has been fantastically responsive and helpful throughout. I am more than happy to pay for competent and friendly service! Meanwhile, it has been several weeks since the old tenants left and I am yet to receive a check out report or any communication from Haart despite paying for these services. Landlords and tenants, my recommendation is clear!
Update: Three years in and i’ve just been treated appallingly. as have my tenants. So, the sales process is fine, the management of my property has been extremely disappointing. I am concluding there is no good property management service in london, and basic competence isn’t possible.

AVOID! Not only they treat customers with no respect, but they are very inefficient, unprofessional and bombard you with emails for simple things such as arranging a viewing. The whole experience has been stressful and a great waste of time and energy. When I complained about their appalling service, they came back saying they are very busy so they cannot accommodate the viewings we had already agreed on. No apology about how the situation had been handled. If you want to buy a property, find other estate agents that care about their clients. Louise and Bruno should be avoided at all costs.

Although we wouldn't want to remove a star for this, we'd like to highlight our less positive experience with RentProfile, the company Acorn uses to check renter affordability. We found they were quite difficult to work with. They requested the same documents multiple times, had a habit misreading or ignoring details in our emails, and generally seemed to require an excessive amount of evidence for the checks they had to complete.

We recently sold our flat through Acorn and cannot recommend them highly enough. The flat was on the market for 2 weeks before they secured a cash buyer for a price above our expectations (and the valuation of four other surveyors). Their communication was exceptional, they pushed hard for us at all times, and we felt incredibly supported by them. Our sale hit a number of issues and delays (through no fault of Acorn’s) and they managed to placate the buyer and speed up the resolution of some issues. I am confident without their involvement, the sale would have collapsed. Taylor Moutarde at the Acorn branch was the most professional and realistic estate agent we spoke to right from the get go. We first went with another agent in March 2020 on the basis of price, but moved to Acorn even though they were more expensive when it became clear that they would do a better job.
When we re-listed in April 2021, Acorn got the full offer price within 48 hours of us going live. Their network between branches really does work well, with our buyers having enquired at Sydenham.
Taylor and Billy Deverson (from the Sydenham branch) did a good job of communicating with us the whole way through, and were both good mediators and go-betweens with our buyers (over quite a protracted sale).
They put the effort in and get the job done - 5 stars.

I can't sing Acorn Camberwell's' praises high enough. From the very first second that I walked through their door, I was taken aback - having had my fingers burned previously by other (non-Acorn group) agencies, I was prepared for an impersonal, somewhat uncomfortable, if not borderline rude, experience.
How wrong I was.
What a pleasant surprise!
I certainly wasn't expecting the warmth, professionalism and efficiency with which I was dealt. There have, of course, been a few hiccups along the way, but these have been in no way attributable to the staff at Acorn and the way in which these errors were swiftly and professionally dealt with, impressed me greatly. I now live in a flat that was rented out by Acorn but is not managed by them.
I was followed by Davide Letizia during the negotiation, he’s a really good salesman as we were convinced to take the flat straight away.
One piece of advice from me is to follow the tenants through the entire process as the rest of the experience was not as smooth as we thought.
First of all the referencing agency they use is not at all easy to deal with, then we repeatedly asked for a floor plan in order to buy furniture (the place was unfurnished) with no luck so we ended up rushing to get at least a bed to sleep in the first night.
Also between the paying of the “holding” deposit and the signing of the contract we had no news on how the negotiation was proceeding and it was really stressful as we were not completely sure to be able to move in until 2 days before the move-in date.
Overall we got what we wanted and the house is nice, but as any other letting agency they just care about the sale and not about customers.

Both Leon Ward and Steve Morton were professional, courteous, friendly, communicative, , attentive, experienced, skilled and keen to help and work. They were also both very knowledgeable and swift to respond to any questions or listen to any rants. They promised to sell our flat within eight weeks and they delivered on this objective with a very good buyer and a great price. We definitely made the right choice, having asked two other agents, one being Purple Bricks, to value our flat. When we decided to sell our Camberwell flat Acorn were the obvious choice. We had the usual suspects round - Foxtons, Wooster & Stock, KFH, Purple Bricks.
However the knowledge of the local market displayed by Steven was head and shoulders above the rest. He could see the value in our flat and managed to find the perfect buyers for it - in about two weeks.
Leon in the Acorn office was a very capable backup when Steven was out of the office. They make a great team.
The communication by both of them throughout was great - nothing was too much trouble. Steven really went above and beyond. My wife and I have now met a lot of agents and its refreshing to know that there are estate agents that don't bull****, that will just tell it to you straight. We really appreciated that!
You may be able to go on with a local agency for a lower price, or you might use a cheap online agency.
But trust me, cheap isn't the same as good value.

I received excellent service from Leon at the Camberwell office. Leon was responsive, communicated regularly and was extremely patient during the sale dealing with my solicitor, the tenants in my flat and my letting agents. I would say though that Acorn's valuation was considerably higher than what we received offers for, and we weren't particularly happy with the photos taken of the flat for posting on the property search sites. Nonetheless, I would recommend Acorn and thought that Leon was a pleasure to deal with.

Had a viewing booked in for a property at 5.45pm turned up to the viewing and no one showed, rung the agency at 5.50pm asking when someone will be attending and they informed me the property was now under offer and they didnt let me know, i travelled an hour away to get to the viewing

Acorn is by far the best Estate Agents that I've come across in South London- and I've been through a few! Bradley Gilchrist and handled my move and he was efficient, prompt in responding to my texts and calls and helpful with the small details that make all the difference to avoid or minimise the stress normally associated with moving home.
On receiving the keys and moving in the flat was absolutely spotless, including all the kitchen appliances and the bathroom.
