They gave us confidence throughout and we really felt we could trust them. We had a difficult sale with a first-time buyer unfamiliar with the processes. Matt Wright and his team, esp Abbie, were on it the whole 4 months from Offer to simultaneous Exchange & Completion. Before that they brought in a steady stream of viewings.

Avoid renting from John Payne at all costs.

We had arranged for the house to be in a certain condition and they lied to us before moving in saying that it would be. We then found the property to be not as agreed and since we saw the property even more maintenance was needed.

This has caused us lots of emotional distress and their poor customer service continued as we went through the complaints process. We took them to the TPO and got a distress and inconvenience award and we have attached the findings below just to show how poor they are.

It seems from the reviews that we aren't the only people they have done this to. The property we were getting was £2100.00pm. For this you would expect a high level of customer service, yet we got the worst we've ever had. Please don't make the same mistake as us and go through these people to rent!

I had a very bad experience before moving to London. I rented a house with another real estate company and 5 days before I was supposed to move there, they called me to tell me the tenants wouldn´t leave. So I was in desperate need of a new house. I contacted John Payne and Liam called me just some hours later and made an appointment for the house I have ended up renting. They have made everything happen extremely fast to allow me to move immediately. They have moved heaven and earth and I couldn´t be happier with Liam and Sam. Thanks so much for everything!!! If I need to rent or buy in the future, John Payne will be the first agency I´ll call.

Really pleased with the service from John Payne. In selling a flat, agent Tracey got viewings on the property, and and offer which led to a sell after a unproductive time with another agent, so much so I wish I had used John Payne in the first instance.

Tracey was really organised and kept in contact throughout and really helped keep things moving on all sides. She always knew what was going on and on the rare occasion I didn’t reach her straight away other staff were knowledgable about the case. Thanks Tracey!

Bought a property John Payne and was very happy with the quality of service I received. We tried to sell our house with another local estate agent but, after becoming frustrated with the lack of communication and viewings, decided to try John Payne instead as we had noticed they were selling a lot of houses around us. Best decision we made. Tracey was fantastic throughout and had multiple viewings setup with 24 hours, and we agreed an offer within a week. Throughout the process she kept us updated, which for anyone who’s sold a house before knows that simply being kept up to date relieves so much of the stress. Compared to some of the other estate agents in the chain, John Payne were professional, empathetic, and most importantly, actually got stuff done. Would highly recommend.

Will Hughes and the team at John Payne have been fantastic! We had quite a bumpy ride after selling our house relatively quickly. Will was a great support throughout and was always on hand if we needed advice.
I would also like to thank Daisy, who took over from Will during the current lockdown situation and managed to help move us into our new home when we really didn’t think it would happen.

They are not giving proper information to tenants and taking people money for no reason the referencing agency which they are working with is not proffessional and they have no clue of whats happening right now with the covid 19 every aspect of life has changed due to this pandemic however the paper work and documents should stay the same its black and white and not adjusted to the current situation. I am really dissappointed with the service they have provided and will never ever use them again. Please, people watch out with this agency
