I have been a client with Acorn Estate Agents for the past 25 years in buying, selling and renting properties.
I have found Acorn Estate Agent to be the best in South East London for Lettings and Sales.
I had a property up for rental in the Catford area and I have been dealing with Adam Slaney from the Brockley branch, this is the first time I had to deal with Adam
I found Adam to be courteous,
Go that extra mile and very pro-active, full of enthusiasm, very driven will always inform me when he has viewings.
Adam got my flat rented within a week.
I will always have Acorn Group as my Estate Agent. Never has been unhappy for 25 years.

Overcharged fees at end of tenancy, poor property management, the only time they make themselves available is when they ask for money.
My neighbors were as much as upset as me from the lack of interest of keeping the building in good shape.

Scam ran from con-artists and I wouldn't be surprised if they bought fake reviews here to pump up their rating.

Never had such bad experience with other agencies. Avoid.

I initially saw the property that I am currently renting advertised online and called Acorn Brockley who immediately arranged a viewing of the flat at my convenience. I was met there by Luke O'Brien who was absolutely amazing and very professional. He handled all our queries efficiently and arranged for a holding deposit to be put down on the same day despite it being a Saturday. We shortly moved into the property and any requests we have had ever since were handled promptly. Jade Clements acted for the vendor of a house I bought. I was selling a flat and Jade did a HUGE amount if work to ensure both transactions completed. I genuinely think that without her they wouldn't have happened! She dealt with three clients and four solicitors, even though she was only acting for one. They gave us confidence throughout and we really felt we could trust them. We had a difficult sale with a first-time buyer unfamiliar with the processes. Matt Wright and his team, esp Abbie, were on it the whole 4 months from Offer to simultaneous Exchange & Completion. Before that they brought in a steady stream of viewings.

Avoid renting from John Payne at all costs.

We had arranged for the house to be in a certain condition and they lied to us before moving in saying that it would be. We then found the property to be not as agreed and since we saw the property even more maintenance was needed.

This has caused us lots of emotional distress and their poor customer service continued as we went through the complaints process. We took them to the TPO and got a distress and inconvenience award and we have attached the findings below just to show how poor they are.

It seems from the reviews that we aren't the only people they have done this to. The property we were getting was £2100.00pm. For this you would expect a high level of customer service, yet we got the worst we've ever had. Please don't make the same mistake as us and go through these people to rent!
