In the selling of my Dads house, David and Sophie at the Sudbury office were really helpful, informative and polite. There to remedy questions at any point, and if they didn't have the answer to hand, they'd chase whoever and return promptly with a reply.
They're not your stereotypical agents, they are not flashy, not pushy... they don't need to be, because they're good at what they do. They're honest, they seem to care.
Totally unlike the solicitor Dad chose as executors for his modest estate… who have been rude, patronising and unhelpful from the start.

Drove 50 minutes with an 18 month old baby to view a house in Cavendish, arrived at the house and waited 15 minutes calling the office number several times. Not knowing what to do we were about to leave when I finally got a call back to say agent was at least 15 minutes away. Not impressed and we left without viewing. A proper agent would call or text to say they were running late, not leave a potential client sitting outside an empty house!! I would be extremely worried if this was my agent. I have just sold a house and the service was second to none. I would have been very angry if they were leaving seriously interested parties not looked after. If you are selling a house in Cavendish with Bairstow Eves I would take a serious look at your agent - they aren’t doing you any favours!

From my first meeting with David Chinery, Bairstow Eves' property appraisal's manager I knew I was in safe hands. At short notice David came to the property well prepared and had an excellent knowledge of the local property market. Although I’d briefly spoken with the other guys at the office, I dealt almost solely with Ross throughout my purchase, and I can honestly say he was the best estate agent I’ve dealt with in my life, and believe me I’ve dealt with a lot!. He was on top of everything right from the start, chased solicitors for me when I couldn’t get hold of them, plus chased up everyone else in the chain and always reported back to me any issues that occurred so we could get done what needed to be done ASAP. I wish I could give a better review because the staff are genuinely nice people, but we did have to chase them on several occasions and we used what they suggested to us as their "in house" solicitors to handle our sale only to find out that we were dealing with an office in Wales! Which is not what I call "in house" and which actually meant we had to engage the services of a second solicitor local to us to get paperwork witnessed.

A house we wanted came up for sale and we tried relentlessly to get in contact with the agent to book a viewing but no response and calls not returned. We understood that because of Covid, they may not be functioning normal times. The house sold after a few days which had us confused as we weren't able to contact anyone so how did that even happen. Anyway, I could go on and on about our experience but it may end up being quite a long story.
The poor feedback is not because we missed out on a house we wanted but the way the team dealt with us once we managed to get in contact with someone. The manager Ross was quite short with us and rude to say the least. Quite how he got the title "manager" is beyond me as he is unable to even "manage" to return a call or simply reply to a message in a polite manner. I can only assume he's just using the title to make himself sound important.
Such is life, we found our house in the end ????.

From when I first spoke to Mike on the phone I knew he would be the type of guy I would want involved in helping us with our purchase. He was honest, straight talking and different to estate agents I had spoken to in the past.
Mike stayed in contact with us throughout the whole deal and despite working for the seller and not us, he helped a lot with the private sale of our house. I know my buyer was impressed with Mike too with all the work he put in. He worksed tirelessly on making it happen and If he hadn’t been so persistent it wouldn’t have happened so quickly.
Mike put so much effort in for everyone on all sides and even after the deal was completed was still happy to offer his help if we required it.
Michael came recommended to us by Mike. Michael never wanted to do the hard sell, he just wanted us to hear what he had to say and make an informed decision. It wasn’t a difficult decision to decide to use Michael’s knowledge once we had met him.
Unlike other brokers I’ve used before, Michael was brilliant at explaining all the fine details and small print. He showed us he cared about our decisions and we loved popping into his office for a chat. The personal touch Michael showed in our meetings made us feel comfortable and that we could trust him.
Again, Michael kept in touch with us the whole way through via phone or email and was happy to answer all questions we had.
We are so grateful to both Mike and Michael for everything they have done for us and would recommend them to anyone buying or selling a property.

DO NOT USE BAIRSTOW EVES! I stupidly signed up to their selling my house last November and they did very little and charged a lot. Their photos of my property were appalling and frankly you could do better if you used an iPhone and put your property on rightmove without involving an estate agents. It took 5 months for the sale to complete and for two months (January to March) they didn't once pick up the phone to speak to me, their client. In the end, I had to push things with the solicitors, the purchasers solicitors and the local authorities. Bairstow Eves did nothing to help the sale apart from send long emails as excuses, and also try to take the credit after I had done the running around. Awful estate agent and I will do everything in my power to ensure people don't use them due to the way they treated me.
