Having lived in our house for 45 years it was time to downsize. From when we first arrived in Eltham Bernard Skinner has always been there and so we chose them as we thought they would understand our needs and know the area like the back of their hand, which proved to be the case. Despite the hiccups along the way they kept us informed and calmed down. Our move is now underway and so "Thank You" for all your time, effort and constant reassurance that we needed along the way. Couldn't have done it without you.

I viewed a property via this agent and was told the other person who had made an offer was definitely out of the running as they have wasted the agents and sellers time, the term used was 'archived'. Once I tried to request a second viewing the agent then told me that the there was still an offer on the table for the property and that there was little point of a viewing. I was then asked how much I would offer and then when they heard the amount I was point blank refused access to a second viewing. I was blocked at every turn in looking at the property. I thought it was up to the seller to determine which offers were good not the estate agent?. I didn't know that estate agents were telling people how much money they should spend on a property which is what I was told...firmly. If I cannot get at least a second viewing how can I know if I want to offer full asking ? This agent wanted me to tell her that I would offer the full before she would even book the appointment. I think this practice is disgusting. Obviously a place I would avoid in the future.
